The wings were amazing. BLT pizza, not so much. It was cold, burnt, no extra cheese as ordered and had zero flavor.

Toppings always taste fresh, they have good deals, and are reasonably priced. We are greeted by name when we go in, and that's always nice.

Kinda odd coming here only twice considering this rounds out the Detroit Classic Pizza Trifecta. The family likes Loui's and Buddy's pizza (as well as antipasto salad) better but this place is great. The pizza is a little lighter than the other 2 greats, a little bit more like Shields. High quality ingredients and tasted great. The antipasto has olives and peppers along with the usual suspects (people say it's more traditional) and the dressing doesn't have much vinager but it was great. The wings were a 7 (but like with pizza, we're kinda snobs) good hot sauce seemed homemade. Bottom line, absolutely terrific, really good food. We still put Loui's and Buddy's (Conant location ONLY) ahead but still outstanding. Oooh, almost forgot, didn't see this coming but it was a completely awesome bonus: complimentary breadsticks with (I assume) hot honey. Huge hit! OK, honestly the greatest part of dinner was our service. I believe her name was Heather, she was absolutely a badass. She really killed it, best service we've had anywhere in a long time. My wife just reminded me (I had to block it out) but the music was unbelievably horrible. Imagine the worst music from the 70's, like being on a cheap cruiseship with older people after they ran out of yacht rock to play...unable to drown it out because you already cashed your daily drink package

It was heavy, but still tasty, and at that point we'd waited long enough that I just ate it and called it a day. Service was the weak spot. Things moved really slow and the vibe felt pretty checked out. The most awkward part was watching a manager scold an employee in the middle of the lobby... not great, and def something that should've been private. Typical pizza bar atmosphere. I'd come back for the food, but the service needs some love.

The charming, clean atmosphere of a local pizza joint, mixed with the aromatic sensation of the bustling wood fire oven when you first walk in is what brings me back for their phenomenal margherita pizza! They recently switched to full sit-down service, so you no longer place your order at the counter; the wait staff takes care of you at the tables unless you're ordering a carry-out. My only critique was about the wine glasses. We both ordered a glass of red wine to complement the dine-in experience but the glasses, which were plastic, seemed small to hold a 6-8oz pour and the really short stem made them awkward to hold as well. I think they need to be upgraded for me to spend $10 on a glass of wine again. Oh, and do not even think about leaving without at least 2 of their famous chocolate chip cookies to-go... heat in the microwave for about 10 seconds and thank me later. YUM!!

There is a table by the takeout counter where you can get packets of hot sauce, parmesan, red pepper flakes, and other condiments. I like the soups offered (New England Clam Chowder, Tomato Bisque, and Minestrone). There aren't many pasta options to choose from. I've gotten the Blackened Chicken Pasta a few times.
