One of the nicest stores we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable on Lego products as you would expect. All of them treat you like friends not just customers. They have always gone out of the way to help and have held items for us when we could not make it right over. Their used stock is constantly changing so they must be doing something right. We try to get there at least once a week to sort through the tables of goodies! If you have an issues with this place all I can say is that you must have problems with life in general. Highly recommend that you stop in and see for yourself. It's a great Lego based family to us!

Ask the Community - Bricks & Minifigs

Do they have customizable mini figures at this store?

Hi Shannon! We absolutely do have a minifigure maker table. That has different legs, torsos, heads, hair/hats, and accessories that you can use to design your own minifigures.

We got great customer service and was able to get basically a mini tour of the legos they have in stock.

They usually have the summer packages and season's greetings as well. There's also posters, fans, stationary, etc. From my visits so far, I purchased Seventeen's Season's Greetings, Astro's "All Light," and Seventeen's "Boys Be." All of their albums are in great condition, and they usually have more in the back. And if it's a newer album, it usually comes with a free poster! If you're a kpop fan, definitely visit this store! They also have a lot of anime stuff and kawaii products. :)

The Stratford Square location is probably my least favorite of the three I frequent. It has about the same anime selection that the Fox Valley store has (which is nowhere near as good as the Yorktown store). There seems to be less variety in the Sanrio/cute stuff, too. I think, overall, this store feels smaller than the others. Also, there's a woman who works here that tends to glare at people sometimes. I think she suspects everyone of stealing or something. Which, I'm sure, she sees a lot of in a store like this... but it doesn't really make for a comfortable shopping experience for the honest folks like me! Still, I love Too Cool and shop in one of their locations whenever I get the chance to. It's a very awesome store.

Fair Game - Bought the cooperative version of "The Fox in the Forest" here; my fiance and I already love the original!

There were lots of board and card games of all sorts, as well as dice, miniatures and paints, and a gaming area for community games. I appreciate that the rules for the space are clearly posted on the wall behind the register, so the expectation for everyone is established (I would imagine it makes it easier for staff to enforce as well, because they can just refer to the sign). The clerk was very friendly and gave me some info about a game I was interested in (a collaborative version of "The Fox in the Forest"; my fiance and I love the original version), which I ended up purchasing! Glad to support a local business! I'll be back for more games.

Every time I've ever stopped in, I've been treated kindly & with respect by the staff working there - which is *not* a given when you're a solo guy with tattoos shopping alone, trust & believe that. A really helpful & nice gentleman named Jackson showed me the "buy 1, get one 1 free" deal they were running for some of their paints. He made the process of shopping for/choosing different colors or different formulas really easy, & honored the deal fairly! He was helpful & cool. Anyone who is into wargaming, table top miniatures etc KNOWS that any kind of buy 1, get 1 deal on high end paints like Citadel, Vallejo or Army Painter is an insanely good value. Also, there has always been some kind of community gaming event happening whenever I've stopped in; which tells me it's *clearly* an important hub for the TCG/TWG community. As a hobbyist, grateful to have the store around. (PS, if you stock the new GW Aeldari kits for Lhykhis, Baharroth, or Swooping Hawks, I'd buy them)
