I only gave them 1 star because I had to give them some rating, but honestly I would of given them a minus rating. I had breaks that were leaking, I went to Brickners auto repair department because I wanted my car fixed right away and they would have the parts for my car. They put a washer on my break line and it stopped leaking but when they went to bleed my breaks they couldn't. after a long time went by I asked someone about my car. The guy said that they don't have a GM part to bleed the breaks. That I would have to have it done at a GM dealership, like Stark, but they game me a bill for 139.00 worth of time spent trying to bleed my breaks. I asked them why I would have to pay for so much time when they knew they didn't have the part, they should have sent me to the other dealership. People don't get paid if you know you can't fix the problem. I told them many times how upset I was that they didn't come tell me right away that they couldn't bleed the breaks without this part. They took 40.00 off the bill. I proceeded to tell them that I would pay for them putting the washer on my break lines but not for them not bleeding the breaks and just adding up the bill by doing nothing to fix the car when they told me they didn't have the part and I would have to go somewhere else to get my breaks bleed.
Back and forth with the man and with him not listening about how a customer shouldn't pay for something you know you cant do and then telling that customer she has to pay for the same thing somewhere else. I was furious, I told him I didn't have money to pay for the bill that they didn't fix and now go to another dealership to get it done right. He kept saying his mechanic was trying for over an hour to bleed the breaks and he should get paid for trying. I again said that you don't get paid for not doing a job and especially when you knew you needed that GM part and I would have to still pay someone else to bleed the breaks.. He didn't seem to understand. after some time he did come back and told me they wouldn't charge me, as I left he kept trying to take the bill out of my hand and followed me to my car. I got quite upset within reason for service not done yet they wanted to charge me for it. Brickners have terrible listening skill, and for a dealership, buy the parts car needs to get the work done. Its ridiculous a person should have to pay twice for the same job.
I did go to Stark and they bleed the breaks without some special part but the breaks still weren't tight so they didn't charge me because they couldn't fix my breaks to be tight and workable. They said that Stark would pay for the time of the mechanic because they felt bad for not doing my breaks the way it should work normally even though they did bleed the breaks. now the very next day I thought that whole incident was behind me Brickners filed a disorderly conduct against me for standing up for the customer. If you don't get the job done, you don't get paid. Terrible customer service. Now for standing up for myself over men who take advantage of women not knowing about fixing cars. I have to go to court or pay 199.00. This is ridiculous. read more
