I spent several minutes chatting with the cashier about the new Transformers series and why it's hitting so well, while another staff member checked in and recommended a few books I hadn't even heard of. This place feels like a local bar for comic fans, except instead of drinks you're deep into comic talk and shop news. The variety here is fantastic. The wall is lined with new releases and current titles, there's a strong selection of graphic novels, and the middle of the store is packed with long boxes full of back issues, including great deals like 50-cent bins, variant covers, and bundle finds. There's just so much cool stuff to look through. Benicia is lucky to have a comic shop like this, and whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by. It's a down-to-earth, no-frills comic store that's simply a joy to visit.

It was a little crowded with other customers and a game (maybe tournament?) taking place at the tables inside. Which was no issue. I was able to find what I need, pay, and head out. I didn't pay as much as I anticipated for what I was looking for, which was nice. All the more reason why I appreciate shopping small businesses and locally when I can. I would recommend this store AND shop again if I needed to buy any more trading cards.

We went in to see what their stock are on mtg and pokemon sealed and singles. There wasn't really any pokemon singles but we saw a case of mtg singles. There was also no sealed pokemon for sale, they said they ran out when we went. While I didn't have anything to do while my bf browsed the mtg singles, I went to their little free arcade to play while I wait. I thought it was a cool edition plus it's nice of them to not charge to play. We saw alot of people inside when we went so I am guessing this place is popular among locals. Overall cool store, staff was kind and helpful, and cool arcade games and tcg stuff.

The main reason my husband and I came here was to look at hot wheels and they have a ton to look through. We ended up buying a Honda accord hot wheel since my husband used to own a similar car--so we knew we had to get it along with a cool scion xb transformer car since I own a scion. We were on a hunt for a white toyota 4Runner, but didn't have any luck--but it was still cool to look through all the hot wheels that were on display along with other nostalgic toy figures and more throughout the store. Prices were fair and since we are collectors we didn't mind supporting this cool business. If in the area, I wouldn't mind dropping in again.

On occasion, they will have their giant inflated Pikachu right out in front of the little shopping center area, so you can't miss it when that happens. What do they sell here? Kind of a little bit of everything really. There's toys, plushies, video games, models, figures, and of course Pokemon cards along with other stuff. Lots of fun stuff for all, and for all ages too as they have quite a bit of retro stuff floating around here. The place does remind me quite a bit of the kind of set-up I would see in Japan and stuff, where display cases are all over, with stuff just sprawled out inside of them for people to look and peruse over. There really aren't too many of these places like this anywhere nowadays. Good nostalgia just from that perspective. Makes it fun. How is the pricing of everything? Actually reasonable for most things I saw here. There were some things that seemed to be fairly overpriced, but it was mainly for the rarer stuff which is understandable, but still pretty far over the market price elsewhere (online and such). But the general stuff sold here were all fair enough for a physical store. The service here, I actually didn't really interact with them much. While I was walking around the store I did hear customers converse with the staff and it seemed friendly enough, so I assume it's fine. They seemed eager to help when people walked up to the counter-adjacent areas, so there's that. Though I didn't walk out with anything the first time I visited the place, finally, I certainly almost wanted to grab something quite a few times as I was making my way through there. Will definitely be back at some point later.
