I went for my first visit yesterday - a quick and easy exam. They gave me their email address so I can have my previous dentist forward my records. Saved me having to remember and relay my history and do redundant x-rays. Dr. Earmme was pleasant and accommodating. Came back for my cleaning today and saw Diane. She was super efficient, pleasant and very informative. She also has a light touch and shared that many patients have fallen asleep in the chair. She made me feel very comfortable. At the end, they made a recommendation for my cleaning schedule based on my history and my coverage plan, and billed my visit instantly, so I didn't have to pay a dime up front. They even had free Wi-Fi, thanks to TELUS. I noticed they accept Interac, Visa and MasterCard but not American Express. I left oddly looking forward to my next visit. Things that they could do to get 5-stars: 1. A better website with the option to book online 2. Open Monday, and simpler hours all around. 3. Accept American Express. 4. TV on the ceiling - gets boring counting ceiling tiles.

I have been visiting Southridge Dental past couple months to resolve an ongoing TMJ issue and Dr…read more San Batha has been great, taking time to explain the issues and giving options. Couple days ago I had an accidental fall because of which I badly bruised my face breaking my front tooth. At a loss with what to do right after and worried that I broke something else in my mouth, I called Southridge Dental to ask if they could fix my broken tooth and they called me right away at 5.30 pm. They cleaned up the wounds, did couple X-Rays to make sure everything was alright and fixed my tooth right away in the next hour. I am really impressed with the level of service I received. Dr. Dhaliwal and Brittany were amazing and helped me get over this traumatic experience. Brittany called me back the next day to follow up and check on me. I am really thankful for this experience and would highly recommend Southridge Dental for their outstanding service.

The only downside was the hygienist. She was a temp and a sweet girl but didn't feel like she was even cleaning my teeth and the appt took way longer then I have ever had. She kept saying that I did a good job brushing and flossing and basically had no build up but then she charged me for 3.5 units of scaling when I have only ever had 1.5 at most from all my other dental visits. My teeth didn't feel clean after the visit and she only polished the front teeth. She was really nice and sweet but I don't think very good at her job. She was only a temp there so hopefully I get a regular hygienist at my next visit. Everything else was good.

We have been trying for years to get her to go to our regular family dentist and the most she would do is sit in the chair. I did a google search for a pediatric dentist that specializes in children with special needs and anxiety and Playtime Pediatrics came up as highly rated. Well they deserve that rating and higher! My daughter was able to go through an entire checkup, cleaning and even x-rays in her first visit. From the moment we entered the clinic, everything was relaxed and easy. Our hygienist Katelyn was so patient, positive and encouraging. She explained everything to my daughter and made her (and me) feel so at ease. Dr. Raylin was just as great and explained all our options for treating some cavities. We are beyond happy to have found Playtime Pediatrics!

Staff at front desk seem very friendly. This was a first time visit for my child and he can be shy and not great in medical settings. The assistant greeted us at the front and we were able to bring toys to the back. They like to take pics and weigh patients but my son wasn't into it so they weren't pushy. They spend time talking about dental habits and had lots of toys and stuffed animals to pretend to clean teeth. There's a TV and lots of books and toys. Definitely very patient staff! Dr. Ella Choi comes in at the end and is super friendly. We as parents assisted with the check up for assessing the mouth. It was quick enough that it didn't seem traumatic for my son. At the end, kids get to go to the toy chest for a treasure. It seemed like a positive enough experience that we booked for a follow up check up in 6 months time for my toddler.
