Earlier this year, I paid almost $1500 for Prater to repair the sliding glass rear window in my F150 pickup. It worked initially. But about a month ago, it stopped working. I could not open it. Also, the rear window defroster stopped working. I was out of the state when this happened, but when I returned, I went by Prater and they took a look at the issue. They said I would need to bring it back for service. I made an appointment to bring it by for service, and Tuesday morning I delivered it for service. After they examined the issue, they found that there was a broken connector for the motorized opener, and this also prevented the back window defroster from working. The parts were ordered on Tuesday, but I had to leave the truck overnight. Wednesday, the parts arrived, but other vehicles were placed in the queue before mine. Also, they discovered that they needed to remove the back window and this meant they had to order a new window gasket. Today, I came to wait for my truck to be fixed. Before lunch they told me that they had ordered the part and it would be there "in a couple of hours." It is now after 3:00 PM, and I just told by the service manager that they were on their way to get the gasket in Cartersville. Why were they still on their way to get the part, when it was supposed to be ordered this morning? My truck STILL is not ready. This is the third day I have been without my vehicle, and there is no guarantee that I will have it before the end of the day. EDIT: By 5:30 PM it still was not finished. I was told I had to leave it for another night or bring it back to complete the work, since it would take "another couple of hours." I took my truck away because I need it. Not sure what I will do now. If I take it elsewhere I will have to pay to have the work completed... if they will even do it. DON'T TRUST PRATER FORD WITH SERVICE FOR YOUR VEHICLE. Period.

He took my money for the car then does NOT file the title / registration. The law is 30 days! I will pursue him to the fullest extent of the law. I have filed a complaint with the Ga Secretary of State used car board. His dealer license # is UCAR042342 and is listed as South Wall Auto Sales LLC I called the State of Georgia Used Car Board, division of the Ga. Secretary of State and make a complaint on the dealer and asked for their bond information. Speak to: Applications / Compliance Analyst, Office of Georgia Secretary of State Businesses & Occupations Division Professional Licensing Boards (478) 207-2440 I'll call the bond company and make a claim on the bond for the amount have paid on the vehicle. I spoke to the chief of police about two possible crimes: 1) failure to deliver title (a misdemeanor crime) and 2) theft by conversion. I've called the Governor's Office of Consumer Protection. Governor's Office of Consumer Protection 404-656-3790 (main office) I've also filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Lastly, when my temporary tag expires and I have to rent a car, I will unhook the chain on my pit bull attorney and I will NOT call him call until I have recovered ALL my damages in filing lawsuit(s), attorney fees, rental car fee, pain/suffering/aggravation, punitive damages.

I've contacted him numerous times regarding the title, and he either did not respond, or when he did he wouldn't be honest. Finally he just blocked my number. In a few days I won't be able to drive my own car anymore!!
