I don't even know why I was worried. My dental hygienist (whose name I wish I remembered!) was awesome and friendly. We talked about Animal Crossing (my pandemic coping mechanism). Dr. M saw me and was as bright and cheery as ever. I was even treated to a pretty funny dad joke: "your teeth are good, we don't need to quarantine them. Some people's teeth are so bad, they gotta leave them here for us to quarantine." - he even said it with a completely straight face. It was reassuring, and definitely gave me a 'you are doing OK, we are all in this together' vibe. Everything was stated factually with zero judgment. Turns out I have a cavity, but it was stated as 'check out this cool photo! So here's your filing, and here's some cavity around it, so it'd be a good idea to take care of it.' The picture was, indeed, cool. I left my appointment happy I had gone, and excited to get my cavity fixed. That should be their slogan -' we don't suck so much you're excited to come see us!' Also, they have the office decorated for Halloween, even though the waiting room is closed. It was cool and appreciated.

Treatment was wonderful but was totally taking back when I received a 900 bill after my insurance…read more I was told they actually don't take insurance because they are out of network but when I called they said they do take insurance. Conflicting stories. They did give me an estimate but its an estimate on what my out of network insurance will cover, but its like 200 dollars. Thats not really accepting insurance. Then today during my work meetings, the receptionist called numerous times to collect payment and refuse to have my husband seen who was in their lobby if I didn't get off my meetings and pay immediately. They need to be upfront and considerate. I felt like I was taking advantage of and it looks like other clients feel the same way on yelp.

First and foremost as new patients they were able to get us in right away. The lady who scheduled my appointment was very nice and very understanding from the get go. We arrived with a very unhappy little boy and they told us to just take all of the time we needed to get him acclimated and they weren't kidding. My son was loving their set up with the treehouse/playhouse and the touchscreen games, but when it came time for his visit he had another meltdown. They did everything they could to try to settle him but nothing was working so we had planned a different location of theirs thinking it might do the trick. But after another 30 minutes my kid was calmed enough to try again. And they were so kind to squeeze us in (mind you this was a full hour and a half after our appointment and they were so accepting and kind!!) They went really slow with him and walked him through the whole thing. He's already scheduled for his second appointment and he says he's willing to return!! That's huge. She ignored that and immediately starts probing there causing me to scream in pain and telling her to stop. Instead of checking to see if I was ok, she slumped her shoulders and stared at the wall without a word. I knew right away that she was quite irritated by my audacity to react to pain. The dentist came in shortly after and began rattaling off a long list of everything that was wrong. She became more and more agitated about the issues. I was confused as this was the first I heard of it. Something felt off, and I indicated I was going to speak with my perio. I told them later I was going to get a 2nd opinion. I got a call from the dentist shortly afterward. Good on her for calling quickly and not sending it to someone else. The dentist proceeded to lecture me that because the hygenist was wearing a mask, there was no way I could know she was agitated. She was defending her employee, fair enough, but I know human body language, and I knew what her stance meant. There was no uncertainty. I had a better experience with the new dentist. She saw me shaking in the chair with anxiety from my previous experience, and with compassion, she quickly indicated that it's not as bad as it was made out to be, and we have just discussed a plan with my perio. Because of the trauma from here, I NOW require nitrious at any and all appointments out of fear of being made to feel pain with zero compassion.

I think I once received a check from my insurance company for $30.00. Dental insurance is a joke anyway. It was suggested to me to remove all of my teeth and get dentures. That would cost about $30,000. I went home and cried for 3 hours. I decided to get another opinion, and did. The good part...when I contacted City Square for records, x-rays and my treatment plan I received a form letter to sign for a release AND a $20.00 charge. Really?? I know I had only spent about $3,000, but it seemed like it might be a courtesy to send them. That is when the backpedaling and lies began. Now I felt like I was dealing with a used car lot. So my recommendation to you is absolutely ask every possible question. Another person who works in the field told me they absolutely do not take insurance. I will not trust again. Like so many things, you are their best friend until S____ gets real. Beware. .

So far so good…read more I've been having a myriad of issues with my mouth, and after a lot of misery I'm hopeful that this is the place to resolve them. I've got a lot of anxiety about the dentist at this point, but the staff here made me feel confident. They really took their time checking me out, and they did it very gently. After confirming some information from a previous specialist I've seen, We're ready to move forward with a treatment that should improve my situation, and do it at a price point I can manage. The office is very nice. It's got relaxing views and even binoculars for bird watching to help those waiting to kill time. I'll update in the future after everything is done!

He has done tooth extractions and an implant for my family. Never any issues, everything is clearly discussed upfront, no hidden costs or agenda so you know ahead of time what you are going to entail prior to surgery. They will make you as comfortable during the process too. No rushing through the process - from the time the procedure is discussed to the time you leave the procedure chair. I had a few estimates done prior to the first few visits with my children and Dr. Oltean is in fact "in-line" with other Oral Surgeons in the area. My kids have to be dragged to any Doctors and they said they would not hesitate going back, nor would I! Every process has been treated with the utmost comfort and care.
