Brian is a gifted and skillful chiropractor. I came to his practice with tightness in my neck, back, and hips. I had been to other chiropractors (too many to count), but the treatment would hit a plateau, and I would stop seeing results. I have never sought out a chiropractor until recently; I guess I slept wrong and my lower back was tight and achy. When I first wake up, or if I sat still for too long, I'd have to maneuver into child's pose, stretch for a bit, and then I could get up. So I looked up places in JC and found this gem. The other reviews are right, show up, ask who's last, and then keep an eye on them. There are 3 rooms that the doctor visits in order, so when one opens up and it's your turn, go in and take off shoes/jewelry. I showed up at 9:40 am and there were 6 people ahead of me. Doors opened at 10, I was seen at 10:50, out by 11. Seems like a long wait but worth it. He did some neck adjustments but the crowning moment was this twisty motion to my lower back. On my way over, I slowly hobbled from the Grove St PATH (stairs were a bitch) and by the time I headed back, I felt my back was so much looser and it didn't hurt to step. There's still a lingering tightness but it's definitely not as debilitating. $20 for the first visit isn't bad, and I may go back next week ($15 for repeat visits) if the tightness doesn't subside. read more

I've been to quite a few chiropractors in my life and I have to say Dr Brian Corrigan is one of the best. This is a no frills old school experience for sure. I got there at 10am on Sat morning when he opened up and there were already 4 people ahead of me to see him. He charges just $20 a session which is an unbelievably low price for his services. Its interesting because there is no receptionist and you have to just keep track on where you are in the line order. The session went very well. He took a look at my neck and noticed it was bent one way and needed a major adjustment. He took his time and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. I've gone to many chiropractors in my life, one for over 10 years, and I can honestly say that he is the best chiropractor I've been to. I was in extreme pain with a stiff neck the other morning, that the first thing I did was search on Yelp for a chiropractor in JC. At the end of my adjustment with Dr. Corrigan I was able to turn my head side to side. I slept all through the night without waking up in pain, and all day yesterday I was pain free when sitting still. I still get a spasm when I move and have limited rotation, but these things can't be 100% fixed in one visit so that is why I went back last night. I was so impressed by Dr. Brian Corrigan on my first visit. He is incredibly thorough. He is quick, but he doesn't rush. He checked me literally from head to toe. I usually 'crack' pretty well when I get adjustments, but Dr. Corrigan definitely made adjustments that were needed for over 20 years. My first appointment was definitely the noisiest one I've ever had - I was long over due. I had my second appointment last night and I will definitely continue to see Dr. Corrigan. The deep tissue manipulations were painful, but incredibly necessary as I had three knots in my neck that had to go away. When I say I was in pain that morning it really was terrible. I couldn't get in or out of bed on my own, nor could I dress myself. It was the worst stiff neck I've ever had, but topped with a constant muscle spasm. So I messed up my lower back from sleeping on the couch. Missed a day of work. Came in today but the ride here, 25 min drive without stretching my back just sitting in my car seat made everything worse. Was trying to leave my office early, told my boss and he said let me take you to my chiro, he is very well known and your pain sounds like an alignment issue. Tried acupuncture yesterday and did nothing. So why not?! As soon as you walk in, you enter the waiting room. There isn't a receptionist or a sign in sheet. You just ask the people waiting, "so who am I after?" Lol well at first everyone asks for a sign in sheet, then everyone responds, "no you are just after her/him" and points to the person you have to watch out for. So once you get called in, it takes about 15 mins or less. He is comfortable with Spanish and English so you don't have to worry. He asks you to move in 2-3 positions and he does his business and it's amazing. And the price ?! $20 first visit and $15 after. You really can't get any better. I don't need to tell you how good he is because once u go into his hidden gem of an office. And all the people from all different backgrounds coming to get realigned... I've been going to chiropractors for the better part of 10 years (I get migraines), and I'm in and out of his office in 5 minutes feeling amazing. Does it look a little suspect from the outside? Yes. Do you walk in wondering if you're in the right place? Only the first time you go. But have yourself a seat with the other people waiting, and when Brian emerges he knows exactly what order you've arrived in and he'll know your name by the second visit. He doesn't take insurance (don't worry he's extremely affordable), cash only, no receptionist, no appointments, and he speaks fluent Spanish. Ok, so I'm an aspiring chiropractor currently completing my pre-med coursework as a prerequisite to entering chiropractic school, so i'm very in tune with the industry and have seen a number of different chiropractors. Dr. Brian Corrigan is the best doctor that I've ever had the pleasure of being adjusted by, and i've seen some fantastic chiropractors. I've seen my share of lousy ones, and everything in between. His office hours are Mon-Fri 10am-1:00pm and 4:00pm - 7:00pm, 10am - 1:30pm saturday, except he doesn't work the morning hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Its all walk-ins and cash only. No insurance. Brian is simply the best. He is also a hero in my mind for giving his gift to everyone at such a reasonable rate. He charges 20.00 for the initial visit and 15 dollars from there on out, as long as you don't go more than a month without care. Children are 10 dollars, i believe. He is also completely fluent in Spanish and caters to many working-class South Americans. He spends a good 10-15 minutes every time i'm in the office and really finds and corrects any issues i'm having with my body. He doesn't just crack your back in a matter of minutes and send you on your way. He opens up every major joint in my body and really has helped me improve my posture, flexibility, and overall vibrant health consistently for months. I never thought i could feel this great, but he is absolutely the best I've experienced with working with the human body. Do yourself a favor and go get checked out. I work as a RN on a cardiac floor, so I'm usually on feet for 14 hours daily. So lately, I've been having some wicked lower back pains, so I decided to stop in to get readjusted. Its a cozy office, no receptionist, no sign in, just a honor system. You come in & ask 'Who came in last?' And you just watch for that person basically. Its 20$ for the initial visit & 15$ after that if you come again before the 1 month date of your visit, if not, its back to 20$. No insurance at all. Only downside is that, it gets kind of busy in here, so the wait is awhile, bring a book. My first time here, I waited 1.5 hours. Brain was sweet, he adjusted my back and I felt great for the week after, however now I am back again to get readjusted cause the pain is back. My SO also got adjusted with me, and he has seen many chiro's in the past, he said he felt that Brain was a bit passive with the adjustments. But lets see how today goes! Will update! read more

I was honestly a bit skeptical of all the 5-star reviews, but they are all well-deserved! Brian is AWESOME. I had a great chiro back in california (Tommy J. Knox) and I was looking for one here - I've found him! I came in because my neck had suddenly become very painful the day before, perhaps a muscle spasm? And Icouldn't move my head up or sideways without intense pain, on top of constant throbbing pain in the neck/shoulder area. I decided to come here due to the great reviews and since the office was close to my home. Went on a weekday morning and found several people waiting before me - he is popular! For the actual adjustment, he made sure to ask what brought me in and tried to figure out the cause of the pain. He then did several adjustments (such relief) and gave me some tips to help alleviate the pain. It was a first visit, so $20 cash which is insanely cheap, and then I was on my way feeling a million times better! As I crawled from bed to the bathroom this morning, I told myself that I was really going to go to a chiropractor today. Sure, I'd had my back go bad on be before, but this is the worst it's ever been. I could not stand upright nor could I reliably walk without a debilitating spasm. I somehow managed to shower and get dressed, then went to visit Dr. Corrigan. After many adjustments and deep tissue manipulation, I can actually stand up and walk without using crutches. He instructed me to return this afternoon (at no additional charge) and I'm really looking forward to seeing what additional improvements he can make. You're not going to mistake his office for a fancy spa, but when you're in excruciating pain, decor becomes of very minor importance. He's a great guy and seems truly dedicated to helping people rather than making money. His prices are outlined in previous posts, but things like that make you realize he cares about his patients. I was first introduced to Brian by a friend about five years ago after I injured my leg falling down some steps during one of my apartment moving days. His magical hands fixed me 5 years ago, and I've returned off and on since. Over the past 18 months or so I've increased my visits to Brian (2-4 times per month) since I've been more active in running and circuit training. Brian is fantastic. My first time trying chiropractic treatment, so was a little nervous. Brian charges $20 for your first visit and $15 after that which I think is very reasonable. He opens at 10 am, I got there at 10:05 am and there were 10 people waiting. When you come in just ask who's last and then it's you. Session was quick but effective. I went back 4 days later for his afternoon sessions that start at 3:30pm. This time only 1 person waiting but waited 20 min which means he takes his time with you when possible. His office set up is a little unusual, given that there is no front desk and, upon entering, you must ask who the last person was to enter so that you can hold your place in line.
