Anthony Smith (formerly Pittsburgh Handyman, now Next Generation Construction LLC) was the worst…read morecontractor I've ever worked with. A simple 3-day drywall, mudding, and painting job turned into over a month of delays, excuses, and frustration. He tried to upsell unnecessary foundation work even after professionals confirmed everything was fine. He pressured us for a down payment, then refused to take check, Venmo, or Zelle--only Cash or Cash App, which was suspicious. After being paid, it took a week just to start, and when he did, he showed up late, left early, and constantly canceled with far-fetched excuses. We finally had to threaten legal action, and only then did he send someone else who finished the job in five hours. Dishonest, unreliable, and misleading. Do not hire him or Next Generation Construction LLC.

In fact, in my review I stated that all I asked for was the curtesy to let me know you'd decided you were no longer interested in the job. I left a voicemail, asking if you'd decided not to do it. It would not have required you to drop anything to take less than 30 seconds to reply to the text I had sent with the photos and say you were no longer interested. That would have demonstrated a level of professionalism and common courtesy that should be a cornerstone of your business. Instead, you decide to respond to this review three years later with a passive-aggressive reply that only serves to make you look incredibly unprofessional. No part of my review was unreasonable, and the resolution that I said I hoped for was completely fair. Sending a text message would not have endangered your life or your health, but it would have gone a long way to showing that you're a decent person who cares about doing right by people, even when you aren't going to take the job.
