I was referred to Dr. Feiger by my regular dentist to get a root canal. I've had a couple of bad experiences in the past, so at the end of the initial consultation I asked about the availability of nitrous oxide to help alleviate the anxiety I feel during dental procedures. He reacted strongly as if I had asked for an illegal street drug. So, no. I have a medical condition that Dr. Feiger wanted to get clearance from that doctor before the procedure. Fine. I'm scheduled for the week after the consultation. I will say his office staff were quite pleasant and they gave me a rundown of my costs, what insurance pays and what I will pay. The actual procedure was a NIGHTMARE! The first round of numbing shots weren't enough and I reacted to the pain. Dr. Feiger gave me more meds. It happened again and this time he put anesthesia directly onto the tooth/roots which hurt tremendously. As I had tears running down my face, his assistant handed me a tissue while Dr. Feiger never even acknowledged my pain and distress. Oh, but as my hands lifted in pain, Dr. Feiger did say "Please don't grab my hands". As the wasn't what I was doing, I felt his response was less than compassionate. They started working again. Then, I begin to get congested laying flat. Not being able to breathe from my nose, I reached up to let air in under the rubber "umbrella" Dr. Feiger had placed around the tooth and over my mouth. This was done when there was a stop in the work. Dr. Feiger then asked if I wanted to continue another day because he could not work with my hand where it was. No, dude, I just need to breathe. Sitting up long enough to blow my nose was all that I needed. The numbing wore off again. Dr. Feiger says that he was unable to use a standard drug on me - I assume due to my health condition. I don't know for sure as he never informed me that the procedure needed to be altered in any way. For the most part, I liked his staff. In the midst of all of this, Dr. Feiger wanted images taken. His assistant removed the piece that held my mouth open but not the rubber umbrella thing. As she attempted to put the piece of X-Ray equipment that goes into the mouth, we struggled because there wasn't enough room. My tongue was being shoved into my throat and I was choking. After a couple of tries she walked out of the room saying "She won't let me take the x-ray"! WTF! 2 1/2 of stress and pain for the root canal and I leave without a temporary crown. I'm positive that the at first meeting I was told that a temporary crown would be put on. I do not recommended Dr. Feiger. I found him to be cold and unfeeling. Looking inside my mouth when I got home, there are several small cuts where he pinched me during the process. I was referred to this practice for a root canal by my regular dentist office. I do not like the dentist at all and was not looking forward to going. I had to cancel my first appointment at the last minute due to a last-minute work issue. I work in the medical field and could not just leave work on this particular day, even though I was in so much pain. It was no problem for them at all they completely understood and rescheduled me for the next morning. Dr Feiger was so sweet and super chill and really put me at ease. I am really nervous seeing the dentist as my teeth are very sensitive, but after Dr Feiger numbed me I never felt a thing, and I was out of there and back to work in less than 3 hours. The whole process was pain free, very relaxed. Dr Feiger, his assistant, and Gina at the front are all really great. They explained my out of pocket costs so I would not have any surprises, too. Gone to Dr. Feiger for about 12? years for abt 7 root canals. 2 in the last 2 weeks, each of the others have held up, one had to be re-done - medical issues, not his fault but he was very willing to re-do it. They are very concerned about your pain/comfort level and it's so calm and peaceful in his office. He and his same staff members have been wonderful and supportive over the years. I was referred here by my dentist, since Dr. Feiger shares office space with a periodontist. My complicated mouth situation requires not one, but two exciting adventures in oral surgery! Yay, me. The fact that the two specialists are under the same roof will save you time away from work/school/life, particularly for the consults. I was able to schedule to see them both the same day for the initial consult. This was appreciated, as I had about an hour commute from work. I will note that Dr Feiger did not offer extraction as an option (it always is) and went straight to root canal recommendation. Also, I was not told until the procedure was scheduled that the doctor was no longer in-network with my insurance (making the out of pocket much higher), so I recommend you check up front. I have had three prior root canals elsewhere, and this is the only one that didn't use gas. I have *very* long teeth and roots, which makes numbing me troublesome. Past endodontists have just knocked me out with gas for the entire surgery (which is fine by me). Dr. Feiger prefers to keep you awake. This is something to note if you either have issues with pain management or anxiety. You'd also do well to bring earbuds and some music to listen to on your phone. The entire procedure took a little over two hours, which is definitely longer than I can recall any prior root canals lasting. It was also more uncomfortable than any prior root canal (I did feel some pain and lots of pressure). I was sent home with post-op instructions, some mega ibuprofen and an RX for something stronger. For your first visit, note that the office is the somewhat incognito unmarked building in front of IHOP. It's right on the corner, with parking in the back. This office is a prime example of systemic racism in dentistry. I was a patient there once 10 Months ago, So when I needed my 2nd Root Canal, I made an appointment. This appt was somehow missed. Due to not getting a reminder call from their office, & I forgot to add it to my calendar. When I tried making another appt, I was told by the office manager that I couldn't be given any appt in advance. The only way I could see the dentist was to call every morning to check & see if any appt was avail. It was pretty odd & sounded like a punishment, But I did not care. But Every time I called, the office manager would give an excuse. Yesterday, When I was speaking to her on the phone. She told me, "We had to fill up that appt due to an emergency Because the other patient had a toothache. I was supposed to be getting this appointment. It was obvious to me that they did not care for my toothache b/c she had already been made aware that I had been in pretty bad pain for the last two days. However, other patients' pain was seen as an emergency; mine was not even acknowledged. This truly felt like an unequal treatment in 2024. But I still gave them the benefit of the doubt & called back again this morning, Knowing I would surely get an appt today Since the office manager had promised me Yesterday that she would cross off the 11 am appt on their calendar for today for me. However, I still had to call in the morning since that is what the doctor had ordered, so I was utterly dumbfounded when I called. The office manager told me that another patient called in this morning, & changed their appointment to the time she had promised me yesterday. This was all clear; This office has been just giving me this run around for almost 2 months. These are the central Ethics of anybody in the Dental profession, especially dentists. They Should Always practice competence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Service-mindedness. Out of the six Ethics mentioned by the Dental Profession School of Dentistry, in my case, 5 were ignored due to systemic racism embedded in this Dentist's Private Practice. Since I felt I was discriminated against based on my age, Sexual orientation, and Ethnic background. I am still dealing with a very high level of pain in my Right wisdom tooth, which is making me unable to go to work because the nerve pain is going up to my ear and makes it seem like I also have an earache, etc. While I am in so much pain, I have to call around and look for a new Dentist because this Dentist's office ultimately picks and chooses who they want to help. It is Deplorable that this kind of Patient treatment still exists in 2024, especially when it is entirely against the dentistry profession. If I were getting this treatment pro Bono (free), I would understand that they want to help their paying Patients first, But if this office is charging me the same fees, Then why have I been put in second place among all their other patients, which clearly means they are discriminating me. read more

I came in for a root canal and the first thing i noticed was the the office was really clean and really nice.I was helped by Tami at the front desk, and she was very friendly. The dental assitant whose name i didn't catch was also very friendly and me me feel comfortable as i was vey nervous. The process went really smooth, and idid not feel a thing as Dr. Feiger preformed this procedure. He is very polite and professional. I am so glad i found this place and i would definitely come back again. They are also an in network provider for Ameritas insurance, and they are very helpful with figuring out copays irregardless of you being a patient there. I am a caregiver for a friend in a wheelchair. As such I make and attend all medical/dental visits with Rhonda. She needed a root canal but needed safe passage to her chair which was accomplished thanks to the staff who also assisted us in the tricky transfer from her chair to the dental chair. We couldn't have had a more pleasant visit overall. Beautiful reception area. More akin to a stylish living room, complete with fireplace. Very classy. They were able to assist us with payment options, and we appreciated all the 'extra steps' they went through for us in an emergency. Overall: Excellent! I also RARELY writer Yelp reviews, but they deserve one. I'm only sorry it took me so long. Our appt was in January of this year. read more

When he did my root canal, was heavy handed and broke my crown. When my insurance paid for the service I had than turn around and pay an extra 150 to get a new crown. And after months they are charging me additional 65 for the work. Instead of their office calling me to explain the charges they send me a bill. So,my dentist referred me to Dr. Feiger for a root canal. I hate going to the dentist, and when I heard the word, root canal, I was shocked and was really nervous for the procedure! But Dr. Feiger and his dental assistant put me at ease. I was really impressed with their professionalism and overall experience they gave me. The dental assistant was so sweet throughout the procedure. You can tell that Dr. Feiger and his assistant work together like a team. Compared to my regular Dentist, shes always yelling at her assistants! It almost took two hours for Dr. Feiger to conduct the root canal, and during the procedure he kept asking me if I was ok. Which I appreciated! because it showed that he cared. I also liked the fact they played music in the background, because it distracted me and also calmed me. I've always thought getting a root canal was painful. But they actually are not as bad compared to fillings! Hopefully I don't ever have to get another root canal, but if I had to I would see Dr. Feiger!! read more

Upon my 1st visit 3/9/21, (Very important) its very clean. Nice windows to brighten the office. Tammy woman at front desk, very nice, professional!! She had the best customer service skills in presenting herself & representing thee office. That's important. I met Karri, what an exceptional petsonality as well! Dr. Feiger comes in, introduces hims. Nice man. He asked questions. Performed my examination in which I thought I was in need of 2 to 3 root canals? Yes, after an extensive examination, reviewing my dentist's Xrays, he taking his own does not see any reason? Ok. So I view all of these Xrays, he explains, no decay, no abscess. He said there is no reason to do these. We aren't sure why I keep getting very low grade, 2 to 4% of throbbing or tapping lil tooth ache? Also they come & go never more than 3 to 4 min. So no night toothache pain, no swelling. So yes he could of gone with what I & my dentist thought, made a good chunk of cash, especially no dental insurance. But no, he was honest, fair and said I just can't go drill your teeth when none of the symptoms are there.? He said if you begin any pain, night pain call us immediately & will get you in same day. I had a real bad experience getting a root canal in Turlock so I was ready for the same thing here. Boy was I pleasantly surprised, no pain at all, minimal discomfort. As a matter of fact besides the initial prick from the shots to deaden the area I felt nothing. From the first phone call to walking out odd the office it was an excellent experience. I was referred by my primary to Dr. Brian Feiger's office and was very nervous about the procedure. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff who explained the paperwork, and my insurance coverage very well. The Dental Assistant was very kind and friendly, yet professional, and Dr. Feiger was calm and professional and made it a point to explain everything that was happening. to me. Him and his Dental Asst. worked like a well oiled machine, and had me out of the chair in under 2 hours (ouch). I had pain meds. and a bottle of water waiting for me at the counter, as well as a script for viccodin. The offices are clean and state of the art and even though I hate dental of any kind the experience was very pleasant. I was referred to Dr. Feiger (if I can even call him Dr.) by my dentist. The first time I walked in, it was a great experience. The staff was nice, he seemed very professional and knowledgeable. But, my advice to you, FIND ANOTHER ENDODONTIST. ASAP. Although, it was the worst mistake I could have made. I was getting my first root canal, and to this day, my only one. The procedure took about two hours, and it all seemed fine. I was happy, the staff took great care of me and sent me on my way with a bottle of water and prescription strength ibuprofen. About two weeks had gone by, and I was experiencing pain with my root canal. So, I went back and they gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I took the antibiotics and the pain went away, for the time being. About three weeks after my round of antibiotics, I was experiencing pain again. Headache, neckache, sinus problems, the whole works, as everything in your mouth is connected to your face. I went back again, and they put me on another round of antibiotics. Not only did the pain not go away this time, but I also got a UTI from being put on so many antibiotics. Terrible couple months here. So, I went back and Dr. Feiger said that there was probably a piece of nerves in the root that hadn't been taken out. He opted for surgery, where they go in through the gums to take out the root. As I was leaving, the front desk asks if I'd like to make an appointment for the procedure and that my insurance was out, so I would have to pay for it, all of it. I was furious, that was their mistake. Not mine. I was a student, surviving off minimum wage at Starbucks and quite simply, I had already forked out my savings to pay for the root canal and didn't have the money to pay for another surgery. The front desk sympathized with me and told me the SHE would call ME later in the week, as she would talk to Dr. Feiger. One week went by, painful and frustrated. I called on the following Monday and the office had decided to go on vacation, so I left a message, phone number and everything. The office resumes work on Wednesday or Thursday and I still don't get a call. So I called again, happened to get them on lunch and left another message. No call back. Finally, I got the front desk on the phone and she sounded surprised to hear me, obviously guilty because she had never returned my calls. Bottom line, he did the surgery for free for me, which should have been free because it was his mistake. And mistakes happen, I know that! But still, I paid for a properly performed root canal. Another month passes and I am still in excruciating pain. I came home to San Diego for the summer and went to my parents' dentist. Went to another endodontist who completely re-did the root canal for me. He took out two roots, and both the roots held a piece of nerve tissue in them that was causing all my problems. My advice: FIND ANOTHER ENDODONTIST. He is cheap, old school, and obviously does not care about his patients, only the money. I am sure if I had paid for everything, he would have done whatever I wanted. But I lived in EXCRUCIATING PAIN due to his lack of care and willingness to fix his mistake. WOW! What can I say about his office? It is amazing! The environment is calm and comforting. Getting a root canal is scary and Dr Feiger and his dental assistant were so friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel important and that they were glad I chose their office. I chose Dr Feiger after I did some research about endodontists and root canals. I wanted someone experienced. My trusted dentist referred me to Dr. Brian Feiger to do a Root Canal, my very first one. (and hopefully my only one). Being an individual that's extremely scared of the procedure, I want to say in a nutshell that I was thrilled at how painless the procedure was and worry free I felt instantly when I arrived at Dr. Brian Feiger's office. The reception staff was extremely friendly and assured me that Brian is well respected in the field. Brian has obviously done this operation million of times, he was efficient and got the procedure done very quickly. He was very professional (taking x-rays multiple times to make sure that each part of the procedure was executed perfectly before moving on) and friendly at the same time (we talked about sports cars and photography - two things that I really love). I hope I never have another root Canal in my life, but if I do, I'll travel across the world to come back to Dr. Feiger to for the operation! read more

I finally have the time to write this review. A few weeks ago I had a terrible tooth pain. I knew I needed a root canal, but wasn't going to do it until January this year. Pain came on a weekend and it was the worst pain ever. I was able to get in for an emergency root canal on Tuesday. Dr. Feiger and his staff were great. Made the whole experience painless. I've heard of other people that continue to feel pain on their tooth, but I'm doing just fine. If anybody is in need of a root canal I highly recommend Dr. Feiger. Thanks again. read more

I had an emergency root canal and Brian was fantastic. He made himself available to help me. He was very kind, attentive and empathetic. There was almost no pain at all. He numbed me first before giving me the shot, so i barely felt it. After that, there was no pain at all. He worked attentively and diligently on my root canal. He kept me informed of what he was doing before doing it, which really helped relax me. Also, he was less expensive than another doctor i considered going to. He billed my insurance carrier. All i had to do was make my co-pay, which he was kind of enough to bill me. It's now been almost a year since the work was done and it's as good as the day he performed the root canal.
