I won't rate my experience with Brian Crispell as one star, if only because I can't say with certainty whether or not his lack of communication was his fault, or the fault of his nursing staff.
After being fitted for a boot something went wrong in my foot and I experienced a great increase in pain, so much so that I was concerned there might be a new injury, or at least an aggravation to the still-healing broken bones in my foot. I expressed as much to his nursing staff over the phone and was promised a quick response. Three phone calls from me later and no one (specifically Dr. Crispell) bothered contacting me about my concerns.
No one wants to leave reviews; they're subjective, they come off as whiny, they're biased. That being said, I'm not simply going to bite my tongue and move on, and here's why: Dr. Crispell explicitly instructed me to contact his office immediately if I experienced any increase in pain. I did, in fact, experience renewed foot pain after being fitted, and I clearly and fervently asked his receptionist to have Dr. Crispell return my call or take some action on my behalf. After three attempts at reaching him, it was obvious that this wasn't going to happen, and I, as his patient, wasn't worth a simple, brief phone call to deduce whether or not there was a problem.
You guys can form your own opinions about the matter. My mind is clear now; I'm putting the situation behind me. And even though I didn't want to do this, at least I made the effort to hold him accountable (to some small degree) for his (in)actions. read more
