I cannot say enough about how amazing Dr. Adler and Gus staff are…read more I had consultations with a dozen plastic surgeons over a 5-6 year "research" period. Most were Doctors and staff were incredibly pushy, charged for consults (which is fine but not when it's a 10-15 minute cattle call), and most importantly did not have respect or courtesy to EXPLAIN the proposed procedures. Dr. Adler (and his staff) were the opposite. For my initial consult (which happened to be no charge) was nearly 90 minutes long with a full explanation of what he recommended for treatments, and a detailed discussion about what areas of my face were bothering me. I'm now 3 years post facelift and lower eyelid surgery, and I'm still beyond THRILLED with my result. I'm extremely natural looking. But time has stopped. My thin, crepey neck is smooth and youthful. I don't have bags under my eyes. I look rested and peaceful. But nothing is overdone nor do people look at me and think I've had a facelift. Nothing over pulled, and no scars (which I expected since I scar and bruise easily). His staff is DELIGHTFUL - Kord has run the office for decades and could not be more helpful. His nurses Nikki, Katherine, Melissa.... are each, in their own right, extraordinary professionals. So dedicated to their patients. And the night nurses (each patient has his/her own night/recovery nurse) in your own private suite with kitchen, own bath, living room and bedroom (water views). It's exceptional service and the stress is taken out of the entire experience- which, let's admit, can be daunting as this is a major decision and meant to be taken seriously. Consult with as many as you like, but in the end, I'd never allow any other doctor to do work on my face. Side Note: in the last three years since my surgery, I've had about a dozen friends choose Adler themselves (some for redo of original face and neck lift surgeries). EVERY SINGLE one is over the moon with their results and we are almost like walking, living petit of how Dr. Adler treats each case differently and can help whatever unique issues you might have. I just cannot sing his praises any more as going to him has been one of the best decisions I ever made.

Let me FIRST say, his bedside manner and skill are top; not to mention the overall care he gives is beyond personable. Having just had my initial reveal, he did SUCH an AMAZING job on making my nose look natural but also have noticeable difference and correcting visible issues from a previous surgery done MANY years ago; my nose NOW looks exactly how I had pictured it to be pretty much my entire life and as it continues to heal if will continue look better every day. This is not my first procedure on my nose and my original rhinoplasty I had as a teen never seemed 100% right. After having an accident that affected my nose about 11 years ago, I HAD to select an experienced Dr. that understood the complexity of damage that had internally been done to my nose. Having consulted with Dr. Avron regarding my nose previously, he has always been honest about the possible issues and never pushed me to rush into getting something done; as a matter of fact he insisted I should wait to be sure there were no residual blood flow issues that could complicate the procedure. I also had some bad breathing issues that were getting worse over time and desperately needed to be corrected. I experienced no pain at all after my surgery; just some minor discomfort that felt like when you have a cold and congested but this is to be expected; as of now, the healing process is going really well. One thing I love and is so important to me, is the Dr's honesty

Instead, the appointment felt dismissive and incomplete from the start. Despite confirming ahead of time that I was covered as a Curative cash‑pay patient, I was told in the exam room that I "did not have insurance" and was questioned about payment. This immediately set an uncomfortable and unprofessional tone. The exam that followed was minimal. Dr. Bush performed a quick ultrasound on one vein in each leg and immediately dismissed my CVI diagnosis. No full ultrasound was offered, and none of my symptoms or the extensive steps I've taken to manage them were discussed. My concerns were redirected to an old spinal surgery, even though my neurologist has already ruled out spinal causes. When I explained that gabapentin didn't help, I was met with, "It made you feel better, didn't it?" -- not a meaningful clinical conversation. The only advice I received was that I "might feel better" if I lost weight, despite having already lost 80 lbs. I left feeling unheard and reduced to a number on a scale. Major symptoms that affect my daily life -- discoloration, numbness, swelling, throbbing, difficulty sitting, and constant pain -- were never explored. After driving nearly two hours each way to see a specialist known for thorough evaluations, I left without answers, without a plan, and without feeling respected as a patient. I will be seeking a second opinion.
