Just providing an update that Dr. Balbon messaged me and apologized for how he spoke to me on the phone, which I appreciate. However, I still don't appreciate how he was not careful with my wrist injury, which my Physical Therapist agrees with. Knowing that it was an area with pain, he should not have bent it so quickly during our free consultation. He should have known to be more careful or at least to ask about the area. Yes it is normal to test the full range of motion, but it should have been done more slowly and carefully to avoid potential pain. I also want to note that he mentioned to me he does have a receptionist who answers phone calls; when he is able to, he answers phone calls himself so that patients can speak to a person rather than go to voicemail. read more

Brian Balbon, DC - Dr.Brian Balbon, DC, QmE - Chiropractors Near Me - San Francisco, California

I appreciate his no frills service and practical application of his body work. Great price too. Highly recommend.

Incredible adjustments. Feel a lot better every times thank you. My back always gets reset properly

I have been seeing Dr. Balbon for a few months now for a wrist/elbow/arm injury. I had never seen a chiropractor before and had my apprehensions. His office is basic and so are his treatment rooms but this doesn't speak to the type of practitioner he is. He has helped managed me get my arm to a much better place. It took a few sessions before I could really feel the difference as I was told it was not an overnight fix. Dr. Balbon is a seasoned practitioner and is efficient in his care and with the needs of his patient. While his office is quite basic and parking can be challenging, depending on the location, this does not speak of his quality of care and ability to be efficient, kind and respectful to all his patients! read more

I started seeing Dr. Balbon recently for a lower back injury. My pain was at a level 9-10 about a month ago. Since starting chiropractic treatment my pain has improved to more like a level 1-2. Somehow all the tension ended up in my knee - and Dr. Balbon is expertly treating that now. He is very professional and kind. I would highly recommend this practice. I have been using the Ocean Avenue office. While it is quite unadorned, it is clean and efficient, and offers privacy to each patient. Many thanks to Dr. Balbon! read more

Over the last three months Dr. Balbon has treated me. I had pain in the elbow joint area and numbness in the ring and pinky fingers. Along with whiplash obtained by getting into a car accident (rear ended) two weeks into my first month of treatment. With Dr. Balbon's chiropractic adjustments, advanced massage techniques and recommended stretches, I was cured within that mentioned time frame. I needed treatment twice a week for the first two months, then weekly treatment during last month. I highly recommend Dr. Balbon. Don't let his quiet demeanor fool you, he is a "man of action!" read more

I have been seeing Dr. Balbon at his Ocean Avenue location for over a year now. I am very happy with the care I am receiving. He is excellent. The care I was receiving from my last chiropractor was fine. But I would often wait 45 minutes before the doctor would see me. And parking was an issue as well. The one thing I love about this office is that parking is not a problem and I'm always seen within five minutes of arrival. And most importantly, the care is noticeably better. I have a tremendous amount of confidence in Dr. Balbon to take care of my chiropractic needs. read more

Brian is a class act gentleman, always attentive, solution-focused, and respectful. I highly recommend coming to his practice for adjustments. I've seen a marked 30-40% improvement on my lower back and neck pain since coming here and learning about my body as well as the exercises necessary to strengthen it. read more

I injured my lower back and literally couldn't move for a couple days. The nerve pain in my lower back/hips was excruciating. I was really concerned as I've never experienced such a physical condition. I found Dr. Balbon and luckily he has 2 locations - both near my house & work. He did a thorough assessment & made appropriate adjustments during several sessions. I was surprised at how quickly I regained mobility, the reduction in overall pain/swelling, and am pleased to rejoin the "walking world" again. I'll continue my sessions, as what I consider preventative maintenance, in hopes to lessen my risk of reoccurrence. Dr. Balbon even provided helpful instruction on stretching & core exercises that I can continue at home at my own pace. You're a lifesaver, Dr. B! read more

Dr. Balbon has been hugely helpful with managing my lower back pain. It's my first time going to a Chiro so I was a bit nervous, but he was patient and kind. I noticed someone else wrote he's a "humble, gentler healer" and it's totally accurate. Thank you Dr. Balbon! read more

I have had back problems since I was 16, when I was diagnosed with scoliosis and disc issues in my neck after being in a massive car accident. I have a lot of experience with Chiropractors over the past nearly 15 years of my life. I moved to San Francisco and went to multiple before I found Dr.Balbon and felt the compassion and understanding for my needs. I am used to doctors assuming I have no understanding of my own pain and personal needs. Before my appointments I had headaches everyday and significant shoulder/back pain. He adjusts and provides muscle treatment--- so hard to find in a chiropractor and so necessary for someone who has scoliosis or similar issues like me. He is honest and does not try to convince you that you need more treatments than you're comfortable with (again so many times chiropractors will insist you come 3 days a week for months just to make money). He listens to the needs of your body and is intentional and compassionate and a nice touch is he remembers bits and pieces about your life that she shares. Him and his assistant are very nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend read more

Dr.Balbon has done a fantastic job at adjusting my entire back, particularly my mid back where many other chiropractors have had a hard time getting a good adjustment. Dr. Balbon is also very pleasant to work with, has been very clean and professional through covid-19 guidelines and very easy to book appointments with. I'd recommend Dr. Balbon to anybody who needs a good back and neck adjustment. read more

Dr. Balbon is awesome, even if he runs a bit late from time to time--LOL. Slightly introverted and very reserved, Dr. Balbon is guided by compassion and a deep need to be of service. I find him to be a humble, gentle healer with a big heart. read more

Dr. Balbon is very professional and informative. I started going to see him bi-weekly in November 2018 and monthly at the beginning of the 2019 for adjustments and to keep my back, shoulder, and neck pains minimal. Dr. Balbon gave me a list of stretches to do in-between sessions, and keeps me updated on my progression. His services are highly recommended! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Balbon for your chiropractic care! I went to go see Dr. Balbon after I started experiencing lower back pain, and he has really helped me to alleviate my symptoms. I am currently seeing Dr. Balbon about once a month and his adjustments help me to feel great-- especially since I work in an office and sit for extended periods of time. In addition to providing top notch chiropractic care, Dr. Balbon genuinely cares about his patients and is very personable. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Balbon for a bout a month now, coming in with scoliosis and daily upper and lower back pain. Dr. Balbon eliminated my lower back pain within the first two weeks, and has drastically decreased my upper back pain. I'm always very excited to go to the appointments because I know how much better I will feel afterwards! He is very kind and funny at times, he knows what he is doing very well, and exactly where your pain is coming from without telling him! His prices are very reasonable and I could not recommend him more. read more

My husband suffered numbness tingling in the arm went to Dr Balboun and problem was resolved. As for myself my occupation RN requires heavy lifting and bending Dr B has been a life saver with my chiro adjustments. I became a patient of Dr. Balbon in 2010 after an auto accident. A month of physical therapy didn't do much for my neck and shoulder pain. I decided to try something different - a chiropractic treatment. Two weeks later neck pain disappeared and it took two weeks more to cure the shoulder pain. After another auto accident in July of 2012, neck pain was so strong that I could hardly turn head. Driving became extremely painful. I got a pain relief medicine from a medical doctor, but decided not to go through physical therapy again and started treatments with Dr. Balbon. After two treatments, the pain became less severe. Two more weeks of treatments and I stopped taking pain relief medicine. It took me two months to become pain free. read more

I had to be away for about 6 wks and I didn't do well without my adjustments. After just one treatment yesterday, I'm feeling good again. He is phenomenal! Thank you Dr. Balbon and your caring staff. read more
