In December of 2016, I purchased a used work van from Brewster Motors. This van was advertised online. Overall the vehicle had some cosmetic damage, rust on a rocker panel, and was an older model. Brewster motors claimed other than some rust on a rocker panel that the truck was in great condition, and that the vehicle ran great. After buying the vehicle and trying to have this van inspected did the problems begin. I was told by two mechanics that this van was structurally unrepairable and that I was lucky that this vehicle did not fail when I drove it to their shop. Both mechanics wanted nothing to do with the vehicle and told me that whoever sold me this vehicle was either dishonest and mechanical incompetent.
One of mechanics asked me; if you are replacing new brake lines which were put in by Brewster Motors, but you can put your hand through a rusted frame and the transmission mount was so rusted out how could you be an honest person. I called Brewster motors, and I was hung up on as soon as Tom knew who I was. I then texted Brewster motors, and after a dozen texts I got a response. After weeks and weeks of phone calls/text Brewster Motors did take the vehicle, but they refused to reinburst me for new tires, the abs, and registration. In my opinion, you would have to be a complete fool to either buy or have work done at Brewster Motors. This business is not truthful, incompetent, and should not be allowed to work on motor vehicles. read more
