Donuts from here never disappoint! I've gone a few times now and the quality is always consistent. Their donuts are soft and fluffy. It's exactly how I want the base of my donut to be - it would taste amazing plain. And their vegan donuts are so good! The coffee is nice too - which is something I can appreciate. I also love how their donut menu is always changing. They might put a lot of focus on the aesthetics of the donuts - but it doesn't interfere with the quality. And I love that they don't overload the toppings on the donuts. The atmosphere of the place is great. It's a nice place to sit down in and enjoy your coffee & donut. And the staff has always been pleasant and helpful. My only nitpicky downside is that the donuts are soooo big! Not a huge problem, but I do wish they had some that are normal sized. I was extremely excited by the prospect of old fashioned large round donuts (not old fashioned sourdough but old fashioned size) being sold out of a bar near where we were shopping in Ohio City during the Christmas rush that we ran over to get them. Refreshing flavors, a fun atmosphere, and attentive hosts made me sure that the donuts would be spectacular. But...this was a miss for us. The original glaze was good but not great. The flavors were a huge miss and the sugar components for the flavor were not complex. While the donuts were largely flouted as vegan the chemicals used in the sugaring process were very present and the entire batch screamed almond paste as a binder. The size and donut composition were fantastic, but trying to emulate the hostess xmas tree flavor, the mint donut or the three or four other flavors that we tried just fell flat. I was craving donuts so badly this evening and was so happy to find Brewnuts still open as most donut places other than Dunkin and Krispy Kreme were all closed. There's free street parking which made it super easy to quickly get in and grab some to go. But the atmosphere inside is really nice, maybe I would stay next time. I can see this being a really nice place to catch up with friends or play some games as they also serve drinks here (cafe and alcoholic). The donuts are huge and have a good chew to them. I like how they have some classic flavors but then also some less traditional ones. We tried the maple bacon donut. And it was good but I wish it leaned more into the savory. It was still mostly very sweet. The maple flavor was strong, and the only bacon flavor was from the actual bacon on top which didn't taste like much because there also wasn't that much bacon. read more

The donuts have a unique flavor because they're made with craft beer, cutting down on the sweetness. The atmosphere of the shop is casual and welcoming to all. It was fast and easy to order, there was plenty of open seating and the donuts were amazing. I loved the maple bacon donut the most. I took home half a dozen and they didn't disappoint. Starting off, I really appreciate the 4 vegan options, as well as donuts being labeled if they have alcohol in them. The man who served us was very kind and accommodating in putting extra wax paper between the vegan donuts and the regular ones that we ordered in our half-dozen. The texture of the donuts is great. Fluffy, not dry, like a nice donut cakey-ness... not sure how else to describe it. Chocolate sprinkle was a great classic donut to have as a vegan option and probably comes out as my favorite for the vegan donuts, amaretto coffee definitely is second, it had fantastic depth of flavor, but I felt it was a little too sweet. Limoncello was sweet and refreshing, not to tacky of a citrus flavor, it was light, and fresh. Still too sweet for my liking but then again, I do not have the sweetest tooth. The vibes inside were on point as well. Once I got to the front if the line, the girl up front was helpful in telling us what the best sellers were. Went in to grab a variety of donuts to try around 10am and they were out of a few choices. I grabbed 5 different donuts to try and some cold brew as well. Cold brew was smooth, delicious and did the trick. The inside of the store is so cute and I enjoy the welcoming environment, including the person that talked through choices and provided great service. The donuts are a mixed bag for us. I like a bit heavier donut so that was good for me. The key lime was very flavorful and I found myself taking little bites through the day after our sampling :) The Xmas Ale fry cake flavor was great but a little dry on the crumb. Sadly, I can't write a positive review or a review in general. The two times I've tried to order donuts for a pick up, they've not had them. First time, I called and spoke to a guy (don't know the name) and requested 4 dozen donuts. Gave my info, told them the time. I was told no problem. We'll have them ready. I show up... no donuts. And they wouldn't have more made for over an hour. The second time, just recently, I went in and tried to order 5 dozen, I was told they have a couple other orders in, LARGE orders and they wouldn't be able to accommodate me. Disappointing to be denied two times. I won't give them a third chance tho. read more
