Where change , additional art or upgrades seemed important, Patti took pictures of existing furnishings, wall colors etc. and scoured resources to find prints and pieces to provide finishing touches. She also provided interior design consultation services by coming into out home and assisting with using accessories I already had such as : books on Omaha or art pieces i already owned. She brought in a few additional accessories but there was never any pressure to purchase. Her hourly fee is more than reasonable and definitely worth it for the consultation information , ideas and suggestions she has to offer.

And thank heavens, they haven't completely jumped on the mid-century trend as most other such places have. From chairs to rugs to cards, there's something here for anyone with good taste. I'm from Australia and searched for months with no luck finding a company that supported overseas shipping until I came across Amethyst Home. I immediately contacted the company to find out more on costs and lead times, then placed an order. To be honest, I was very nervous about paying all costs upfront especially with such a long lead time, 6-7 months before estimated arrival into Australia but Amethyst Home assured me everything would be ok and they'd be available any time I needed to reach out, and they were. They kept in constant communication with me with prompt replies and updates. When the shipment arrived Australia they assisted in expediting import clearance and stayed in touch until I received delivery. I was also a bit anxious about the banquettes condition with it being shipped in a container and undergoing a long journey but it was packed so well and secure, there was no chance of it getting soiled or damaged during transit. I am writing this review with the hope of preventing another person from having to experience the…read moredifficulties I have encountered with this business. On Feb 18, I ordered the Nordic Dresser. The courier dropped the dresser while attempting to complete the delivery and broke it. I reached out to Amethyst who, after many emails back and forth, arranged for the broken piece to be picked up and offered a replacement. A few weeks later the replacement dresser arrived and was also broken. It sat in my home for five days until they sent a courier to pick it up. I reached out to Amethyst to request a refund as I have no confidence that a third dresser won't arrive broken (as the first two have). I have now taken four days away from the office to accept deliveries and facilitate returns for this order (Feb 10, Feb 13, Mar 31, and Apr 5). I have exchanged over 30 emails regarding this purchase with Elle from customer service. They refuse to issue me a refund but instead keep offering to issue another replacement. For a dresser costing in excess of $3,000, this is simply unacceptable. I understand that Amethyst is a small business and have done my best to remain patient and understanding. However, I would not wish this situation upon anyone looking to make a significant purchase for their home. I will not be purchasing from Amethyst again and HIGHLY recommend others refrain from doing so as well.
