Great little brewery! Loved the beer selections and atmosphere. They also have a nice menu selection. They could use a few more tables. The place is rather large with very few tables. Several people were standing around waiting for tables. This is a place you are not going to eat and run. You want to have drinks and socialize so when people come in and stare at you because they want your table, it can be a bit awkward. read more

Great beer, food, and staff! About ~15-20 beers on tap with rows and rows of craft beers bottled in coolers and in six packs to buy. Great atmosphere with a giant projector playing college basketball with plenty of tables and a couch surrounding giant Jenga. Amazing Place and Eastern NC's Bottled Beer Mecca, I've been coming to Brewmaster's now for a long time on my regular drives between Virginia Beach and Florida. I've also stopped by on other random occasions to see what types of brews they have that they don't have in the Hampton Roads Virginia area. I would very much consider myself a craft beer connoisseur and upon walking in I was BLOWN AWAY!!! this new location (next door) offers a lot more retail space than what they have from their old place. There is beer shelves lined up on one wall and the food with beer taps 25 to be precise, are on the back wall with plenty of seating in the middle. The beer is organized into sections of, Pilsner, IPA, Stouts, Porters, Sours and even Meads. The selection is even MORE impressive than the last place and I was surprised to see Great Lakes Brewing Beers in here as you don't usually see them this far south; hell there're not even in Virginia Beach. I was also impressed to find Heretic Brewing Beers from Fairfield, CA as this is the ONLY place I'm able to find them so far here on the East-coast so far. The new building and interior reminded me a lot of another AWESOME local brewery in New Bern, NC called Beer Army Brewing. So like my last review of the old place I had to check the bathrooms out. Lmao. I walked in and never seen such awesome artwork for a bathroom. The Einstein painting (I snapped a pic) which I'm sure is a copy but SUPER cool looking and the tile and everything else in there looks very nice and modern, waaaaayyyy better than the old location. I also happened to read a local Wilson News article stating the Owner hopes to utilize the new space for wedding receptions which is an awesome idea if you and your significant other are both avid craft beer drinkers or are just looking for a cool place to chill after the wedding and want something OTHER THAN "Domestic brews" that are offered at "regular" wedding reception venues. Yuck. Lol. I didn't have any soup or sandwiches this time but I know from the old location they were super spot on and they strive to use a lot of locally produced food items which is also a humongous plus too. **Overall I honestly can't wait to come back and get a lil giddy just thinking about it.LoL. I like Brewmasters.. it's always easy to find something good even with my cranky tummy! Soup is awesome, and plenty choices on the menu! I don't drink, so can't recommend I'm that area, but I think you should go eat there anytime you want a great casual meal. read more

3.5 stars! Go for the beer, not the food. I would say the food is slightly above school cafeteria taste/quality. The pizza I was served was not a pizza but ingredients on top of a warmed untoasted flatbread with a half inch solid mass of unmelted cheese. The other people in my party were similarly unsatisfied with their sandwiches and French fries and the boneless wings that definitely came from a Tyson's frozen chicken wings bag. Obviously they have a great beer selection which is the main attraction for this Brewmasters! Customer service is spot on as the bar tender and other workers were very nice and helpful! The mural on the outside of the building is really cool and interesting. They are family friendly with high chairs readily available. This definitely is a place where friends can meet up for a drink and have a good time. As for the build-your-own six pack, it was nice seeing some unfamiliar beers. If you like unique beers this place is for you! You will pay a slightly higher price than say, target or Trader Joe's. At Trader Joe's and many other places they charge the price of the bottle by taking the price of the six pack and dividing it by 6. Here, they seem super random with their prices as some six packs marked for 12.99 will sell a single bottle for 3.99 and others will be 4.99 or whatever it was. I noticed not all the beers have a price sign below it which makes you hesitant to put it in your pack since you aren't sure if that beer is going to be a $30 dollar bottle. I also noticed some Beers very very close to their expiration date which was a turn off for a few beers that I was interested in. This is such a small issue and easily fixable. Overall, I remain unimpressed with the food and therefore could not recommend eating here as it stands today. I could definitely see us stopping by again in the future for the beer selection and atmosphere. 3.5/5 read more

Came into this restaurant while in town for work. Limited options in the area. It is very casual. You order at the bar for food and seat yourself. I struggled to find something somewhat healthy to eat and settled on a fried chicken tender salad (not very healthy I know!). It was average. My coworkers meat lovers pizza was small and she said it was good. We didn't try any alcoholic drinks. Good prices on food, average quality. read more

Deployed to NC for Hurricane Florence led me to find this perfectly quaint, chill location with sofas and tvs. The friendly staff who was patient with me and helpful choosing a beer was an added bonus. This place is delicious. Service is great- you kinda have to do some of the work when it comes to getting your food but it's a great vibe everyone's really nice and inviting. The food is out of this world. I got the beer dip with the pretzel and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Nice laid back place to enjoy drinks. They have about 25 beers on the tap and they have new beers multiple times a week. You can make your own six pack with the beers they have for sale. That's pretty cool. They serve some food too. But the food menu is limited. I liked the veggie pizza. read more

We stopped here for lunch while roadtripping home since we hate chains and fast food. We loved the bottle shop aspect where you could choose from a rare bottle beer selection, have the bartender chill and serve it to you. We ordered sandwiches from the bar and sat to enjoy unique beers. Food was served quickly and we had our choice of bagged chips. The bags were sizable and a simple way to get a side. Ruebens were spot on, other sandwich wraps were respectable too. The atmosphere is really what won us over. Anyway they usually have 16 or more selections on tap, several coolers full of various bottled brews, and then several racks of unchilled brews and wine bottles for taking home. Their food is a variety of things like sandwich selections promptly prepared, chicken tenders, etc. Nothing extravagant, just tasty quick prep selections that you pick up from the kitchen when they call your name. Good vibe and atmosphere, with friendly staff, and large enough to handle the larger crowds on Friday and Saturday nights. They also are open for lunch. read more

Cool place to check out a good beer selection. However, most of the beers that I purchased were old and tasted old. I poured out 2 of the 6 that I bought. 21st Amendment IPA had a best before date from 3 months before the day I bought it. Great find, a little further off of I-95 than we first thought but happy we took the detour. Walk in to the place and immediately surprised by the wide range of different beers they had, not to mention the 25 draft lines. It was nice to find different beers that we are not able to find up our way. Looked over the food menu, it looked simple and just your regular bar food. We unfortunately we're not able to get anything to eat as the kitchen closed at 9pm. Other than that it's a great place to sit and have a few drinks bar staff was friendly as were the other customers at the bar. Definitely worth the drive just to go and see what else they will have later in the season. read more

Interesting place. Brew Pub with a food counter. I don't recommend going there for a good food experience. Wife had fish n chips. Very greasy fish. When we first came to Wilson, the old location was very close to our temporary housing so we went here many times. The two gentlemen who partnered the bar/store were both very nice people but of course it was horribly small. Now that they have much more space that problem was resolved but the food seems to have declined. The atmosphere of the new place is a bit lacking but hopefully that will improve with time. We have only been to the new location once and were not overly impressed, good luck to them, we need diversity and this place has a uniqueness. read more

Great little spot in Wilson. 22 beers on tap, friendly and knowledgable staff and pretty good food. They have live music some nights. The wings were typical; very lightly breaded and fried. Served hot with ranch or BC. I tried the flatbread pizza. It was pretty good. Held the Swiss cheese and added extra mozzarella. Gave Brewmasters a shot as we we were heading home from the beach and saw it on Yelp. Great concept: tons of beers on tap and a simple bar food menu..oh and you can shop for beers too! Food menu isn't complex...simple options you would find at a bar: sandwhiches, wings, and a few salad options. The taps just so happened to be taken over by Devils Backbone today so there were a lot of that brewer's options. You have plenty of size options for your beverages. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend giving it a shot if you like craft beers! read more
