It wasn't until I was into the tight timelines of the loan process that I fully appreciated how good Brent is --- and the value of having him so closely plugged in with my agent. My agent had originally recommended Brent but I felt like I needed to do my due diligence with other reputable places. I think what iced it for me was the day I was sitting with a loan officer asking them to recompute the projected APR with the VA funding fee removed.
