Jeff was the lender on my first home loan. He was proactive, thorough, and responsive. I greatly appreciated the level of detail he provided in his explanations and materials. He is generous with his time and a pleasure to work with. While our home purchase was in escrow, I was a victim of identity fraud which impacted my credit. Jeff worked with me to navigate that stressful circumstance to resolve it and find a viable path forward. We were able to complete the home purchase with our original loan terms in the end. I cannot recommend Jeff enough! read more

Jeff is very professional and well informed. His communication was flawless in our long distance mortgage process. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience with Jeff as a mortgage planner. He was extremely thorough, taking care of every detail during the mortgage process. Buying a house is a lot of paperwork, and requires a lot of decisions. But Jeff took the time to explain complex elements in a way that made sense. I also appreciated Jeff's transparency when comparing his deals to competitors. He was honest about pros/cons of different mortgage plans, as well as the types of mortgages that were most competitive from Megastar. In summary I highly recommend Jeff. He is thorough, honest, and committed to helping you understand the details in the mortgage process. read more

From day one Jeff was very helpful in answering all our questions and always quick to respond. We quickly got pre-approved and even elected to get fully underwritten. Jeff provided quick estimates on properties we were interested in and gave us accurate up front costs that are competitive with market rate. One of the most important things as a buyer is to ensure funding is in place and that you close on time. Jeff made sure that happened. My Wife and I couldn't be more pleased with Jeff's responsiveness and honesty and would no doubt recommend him to anyone we know. Jeff was exceptional to work with in the process of finding a loan that worked for us. He will take the time to explain market conditions, the benefits and drawbacks to different loan lengths and types. After working with a few other loan folks, I appreciate working with Jeff and his direct, straightforward, and friendly approach to lending. I recommend him to friends anytime they are looking at getting a loan, and don't think you could find a better person to help you through the process of getting a loan. read more

It felt like Jeff was invested in us from day one. Rooting for us all along the way. He was responsive, helpful and honest in providing us with all our potential options (we were also selling a home and debating on keeping it as a rental) he took the time to provide us numbers for both scenarios. He even took time to answer questions from my MIL :) He made the process seamless, ensuring that our new home closed and we received keys immediately after our other home sale closed (3 day gap). Jeff was recommended to us after a blah experience during a refi with a different lender and I am so glad he was. read more

Our realtor recommended Jeff when we purchased our Seattle town house 4 years ago. It was a really smooth transaction. Jeff is very professional and super knowledgeable. We still kept in touch after that since I have another property I was thinking of doing a refi on. He's always there to answer any questions I had and never being pushy. I just finished the refi with him recently. It was again a very smooth transaction. He only emails me when it's necessary and ask for all the information needed all at once. I've done another refi just recently and I felt compare to the other one I did, this one is a lot less stressful. The time I spent was also minimal. I would definitely recommend Jeff! read more

As smooth and easy as a refi can get! Jeff made the process flow smoothly and quickly. He is a great communicator, keeping everything moving forward - AND he got us an amazing rate, better than expected. With Jeff there is no reason to hesitate. read more

I found Jeff from searching reviews on Yelp. I noted the many, excellent reviews left by people for Jeff Johnson and decided to contact Jeff for a inquiry on obtaining a mortgage. Jeff response to my inquiry and the analysis that he provided to me of several mortgage options including a recommended one (based on my unique situation) far exceeded my expectations which were already high based on all of the excellent reviews that are here on Yelp. Jeff was prompt, thorough and extremely knowledgable about mortgages and also about the economic drivers of Mortgage rates and how they could be changing in the future. Our interactions in exploring the various choices felt more like a "Partnership" relationship than a "Broker" relationship. I did not move forward yet with a new home purchase. I look forward to working with Jeff on obtaining the right financing for when I do pull the trigger on my next home purchase. Its very comforting knowing that once I identify the appropriate piece of Real Estate to purchase I have the capable and trustworthy partner to obtain the best financing\mortgage solution for my needs. Do yourself a favor - if you are thinking about financing for a new home or refinancing contact Jeff and give him a try - I think you will be very satisfied with the results. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Jeff! Jeff is the most knowledgeable, thoughtful and strategic lender I have ever worked with. He is smart and skilled and understands that the market is dynamic and every situation is different. We had discussed many different options and Jeff ALWAYS followed through on what he said he would do and really wanted to make sure that we ended up with the loan that was best for our family. I noticed right away that he was not pushy. He was able to answer my questions (in detail), and did not ever pressure me to move forward until I understood. He was not flaky and took his time with every conversation we had. I had been shopping around, and it was easy to see that he works with integrity and is not just trying to close a quick deal to meet a quota. He truly has it down to a science. read more

I contacted several well-reviewed brokers and had the best experience working with Jeff. He offered an excellent rate, was very responsive and helpful talking through financing options, and was quick and efficient in processing our mortgage refinance. I'd had a previous experience with a different lender who I felt like took advantage by steering us to a bad option and trying to overcharge us on fees, and so I really appreciated working with a straight shooter like Jeff. I'd highly recommend his service. read more

Stop your search here! I recently completed the purchase of my first home, and Jeff Johnson has been one of my key supports during the crazy, hectic process of buying a house in the Seattle area. I was a first time home buyer and I now have a new understanding of how crucial it is that you choose a strong partner as a mortgage broker. My process involved 2 accepted offers that did not pass inspection and a 3rd (and final) accepted offer that had bump after bump along the road to closing. During my time working with Jeff, he has taken hours of his time to explain in detail the process of buying and financing of a house, ensuring that I was comfortable at every step along the way. His impact was most heavily felt during our closing, where documents needed to be expedited time after time due to delays caused by the sellers, and Jeff's adaptability and urgency were crucial to the closure of our home. I cannot thank Jeff enough for his support and would strongly recommend that you stop your search for a mortgage broker right now and commit to working with Jeff Johnson. read more

There is a reason why Jeff has 5-star ratings and is always being highly recommended by former clients. I feel bad for those people that tell me about their trials and tribulations with the mortgage process, because my wife and I never experienced any of that during the purchase of our 1st home. Jeff worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly - from our consultation, all the way through our first mortgage payment. If you want someone who will exceed your expectations at: 1) Being professional, friendly, AND NOT pushy 2) Finding you the best mortgages and rates 3) Working hard to make sure everything goes smoothly 4) Building you personalized, detailed mortgage models/scenarios 5) Patiently teaching you the mortgage process 6) Answering all your questions 7) Maintaining a high quality of service, throughout the process 8) Calming your nerves when things get hectic 9) Providing you with mitigation plans to resolve issues then, I HIGHLY recommend Jeff. read more

Jeff has made my refinance process a breeze. He is very responsive and helpful. I had a ton of questions and concerns through out the process and he addressed them all. He would make himself available to hop on a call with me to go through things and will make sure that I had all the answers I needed. Jeff too is also very understanding and accommodating to my needs. He let me know that I had a few days after closing to retract my decision should I have any buyer's remorse. He worked out the document availability with me because I was going to be out and he made sure that everything was good with me and that I was comfortable with my refinance before I closed. On a side note for data lovers, he even has this data visualization tool that I found extremely helpful because it presents data side-by-side about the different options I had, He can even adjust it to show me all the information that I needed. This made it very easy for me to understand all the different options I had which helped me come to a decision. Out of the couple of folks I've talked to, Jeff was the only one who provided this tool, which is a big plus to me. 110% would recommend Jeff! read more

Jeff is absolutely top notch! He went above and beyond, and continues to do so even after closing. He is extremely organized, thorough, highly knowledgeable, and responsive which made all of the difference in our interactions with him. We were so impressed with the turnaround and how quickly the settlement date was scheduled. He has built several models upon our request, helped us to find competitive interest rates and loan terms which made the entire process so smooth. He has always looked out for our best interests and we never felt like we were just his "home loan customers". It was wonderful working with you Jeff! Jeff is a fabulously attentive and knowledgeable loan officer who seemingly works 24/7, and just for you. This attentiveness, detailed knowledge, and his calm demeanor help him to offer a top-shelf service. What I really enjoyed was the time that Jeff took to explain what and why I was being asked for various documents. Everyone's situation is different and it's in this difference, that complexity emerges. Jeff has the patience and attitude to manage this well. Additionally, Jeff walks you through various calculations that provide optionality in your home buying process that I didn't have with a prior lender. Whether this be through mapping out % down calculations or other in-the-market options so you better understand your financial flexibility. I will certainly work with Jeff in the future. read more

Jeff Johnson is the most knowledgeable, professional and more important a very nice person. I did 2 refinances with him and got best possible rates and great advice that benefits me( NOT HIM) Just bought a new construction house during covid and he told me that his firm can't get me best rates because of my employment status, but took his time and called me and educated me to get best loan possible elsewhere. Our real estate broker referred us to Jeff and we are so happy we decided to work with him! We were originally working with a different lender who was very unresponsive. Until we made the switch, we didn't realize what we were missing out on and how much peace of mind a good lender would bring. As a first time home buyer, we had a lot of questions that Jeff was always quick to answer. He was also able to provide us with an individualized quote for every house we wanted to put an offer on. I highly recommend working with Jeff! read more

Saying we had a great experience with Jeff would be an understatement. From the first call we had with Jeff to closing we were impressed by his knowledge, patience, and due diligence. As first time homebuyers we were not only novice but nervous; which translated into lots of questions and even hesitance in making certain decisions. But Jeff was always there for us with information that helped us throughout the process. We took over a year looking for our first house due to market conditions and being outbid by others. And every time we found a house we liked, Jeff was right on top of it, running numbers for us and providing us with the information to help put down the right terms in the offer, etc. He never pushes anything on you; at the same time he's more than happy to answer your 10 questions to help you make an informed decisions. What really impressed me about Jeff is his bias for action and being always "on". We would tell our realtor about a house we liked on a Saturday night, and Jeff be helping us with the numbers that same night! When we finally got an offer accepted, we ran into some hiccups with the seller that would've threatened the deal from a loan perspective. But Jeff handled it beautifully and went above and beyond to make sure the loan didn't get affected. We highly recommend Jeff and hope to work with him again in the future. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for some time now. I had a very pleasant experience working with Jeff. I personally feel Jeff is very dependable, highly knowledgeable, courteous, patient and a straight shooter. He was very honest with his responses. I was looking for a mortgage loan for 30 years and i consulted with various Banks(Chase, BoA, WFC, Capital One) and Independent mortgage lending company like quicken-loan, rocket mortgage, costco. Jeff' quotes were very much competitive and his offer was the best i could get. Like i mentioned he was very much dependable, I felt like he had my back all the way. I was amazed and i admire the way he analyzed and explained me pros and cons of choosing different loan options and how much would i save/spend over a course of time. Never at any point of time he rushed me to do anything that i was not comfortable with. Unfortunately for me things couldn't work out as my plans changed at the very last nth moment. In-spite of that Jeff understood the predicament i was in and continued supporting my decision. How cool was that. In short i would highly recommend Jeff if anyone is looking out for mortgage loans and eyes closed, you can trust him on providing the best rates on your loan read more
