The food was fine. Better than the options close to the highway. There were several flies buzzing around our meals. We were seated right by the door, so that may have been the issue. We would probably go back if we found ourselves with an overnight stay on a journey.

Since it was my first visit, I appreciated that our waitress took the time to answer questions and help me navigate the menu. She was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I started with the onion petals, which were delicious and a great way to kick things off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak kabobs cooked medium. Unfortunately, they came out closer to well done. They still had good flavor, but I wish they had been a little more tender. The salad bar lived up to the reviews. It was fresh, well stocked, and definitely worth the trip. As a nice touch, they brought out a slice of strawberry cake for my friend's birthday. I stole a bite and can confirm it was pretty tasty. Overall, this is a great local spot with flavorful food and fantastic service. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the steak was overcooked. I'd definitely come back and try it again.

I ordered wings(7) And Sweet Belly tacos(there were 3). I also ordered a Mexican fruit water. Service was great! The restaurant is beautiful inside. However, the wings were over cooked, but tasty. The tacos had these huge pieces of meat, which made it hard to pick up without the taco falling apart. The taco was beautiful with all its colors, veggies and such. But it was positively flavorless. I would have loved the meat to be in smaller chunks to bite into the taco without it falling apart. It just wasn't the case. The fruit water was refreshing.
