I received a hip arthroscopy from Dr. Lawler to fix a labral tear and hip impingement in Fall 2024…read more I am extremely happy with my choice to work with him and his team- they were kind, competant, and efficient. I went through a number of potential candidates in the Bay Area and Dr. Lawler was the first surgeon that made me feel fully confident in the path forward. In particular, I appreciated his determination to get me to 100% from a sport performance perspective- I felt that he really cared about the difference between a 80% recovery and a 100% recovery. I'm still early on in the recovery process, but so far everything has gone smoothly. I experienced significally less pain after my procedure than expected based on my online research and onversations with friends (though this could certainly also be due to the specifics of my own case). A couple of things I appreciated about the experince: - Dr. Lawler spent nearly an hour talking me through the decision to get the surgery and answering my questions without rushing me. - Kate Donnelly (his PA) was a great communicator and made me feel secure in my treatment. - The office team did a good job providing me the necessary information and following up with me about medications and paperwork. Scheduling was easy compared to my experiences at other clinics, thought it was a little hard to figure out how I would need to prepare my home for recovery (e.g. definitely get bars for the bathroom if you can). - Despite a delay of 2 hours on my surgery, the team at the North Bay Regional surgey center kept my spirits high and made me feel very comfortable as I waited. Big thank you to Kate, Dr. Lawler, and the rest of the team!

An assistant also took a few X-ray images right there in his office that were ready to view within moments. He explained the imaging, and presented me with options for treatment. The best option in my opinion, and based on his knowledgeable explanation, was surgery. A few weeks later he performed the surgery. He spent time with me before and after, and had a great demeanor and personality each time I've communicated with him. A week after my surgery I had a follow-up appointment with his office. I spoke with Marcy who was very polite and knowledgeable. She took plenty of time to clearly answer my questions related to the surgery and the healing process. She explained the 10 or so images that Dr Lawler had taken during the procedure one at a time. My experience with Dr Lawler's office has been consistently positive. I would definitely recommend his practice to anyone in need of knee repair. It has been 2 weeks since my surgery.

That's a lot to wrap your head around as a patient, but Dr. Solomon has this incredible ability to make a daunting situation feel completely manageable. He is friendly, energetic, and explains everything in a way that makes you feel like you're in expert hands without being talked down to. From the consultation through the day of surgery, every interaction was top notch. He clearly loves what he does, and that enthusiasm is contagious. The operative report was textbook clean: minimal blood loss, no complications, and the repair was actually more extensive than the MRI predicted, which he handled in stride. His PA Louisa was also fantastic, and the whole team at MarinHealth Orthopedics ran like a well-oiled machine. I left feeling like I had the A-team in my corner. If you are facing shoulder surgery and reading reviews to figure out who to trust with your body, stop scrolling. Dr. Solomon is the real deal. He is the kind of surgeon you actually look forward to seeing at follow-up appointments, which is not something I ever expected to say about a guy who put anchors in my shoulder. Highly, highly recommend.

After enduring a weak knee and right leg for 12 years, i am now able to walk several miles on a trail and am building agility and strength from there. The physical therapy assistants are also attentive and supportive as they follow the program Jacob lays out each session. Typically, i spent 30 minutes with Jacob and 30 minutes with a PTA. I was welcome to stay and ride the stationary bike if i so chose. Jacob was especially helpful in showing my husband how to work with me. This made my time between sessions more productive. One bit of advice--book appointments way ahead because their schedule is tight. My surgeon's office had told me to book after my surgery and i had to wait 2 weeks to be seen. Strongly recommended. Over the 6 weeks, i observed a lot of clients receiving physical therapy, some for help with sports, others for medical reasons. The facility is up to date, spacious, and clean.

I never leave home without this helpful tool/app. Dr. Lyndly Tamura is a miracle worker! She's attentive, compassionate and listens to her patients. She fixed my mom's sciatica, and my husband's excruciating back pains. Her assistant Amit is stellar! I am an Executive Assistant, which requires a tremendous amount of attention to detail, amazing organizational skills, and confidentiality. Not everyone is that talented, very hard to find, especially these days - nobody reads or follows instructions. Amit is super patient and answers all my questions. PA Ryan Ansari is thorough and asks the right questions. What an "A" team! X-rays are onsite, which is a huge bonus. Ample parking in this healthcare complex. So blessed to have great doctors and nurses who genuinely care. They truly are the unsung heroes. I tell my kids these are the people they should look up to. That said, he absolutely took the time to explain things thoroughly and answer my questions, which I genuinely appreciated. My one-star review is primarily about my experience with Jasmine, a medical assistant at the Novato office. For several weeks, I had been working with Almendra to obtain a referral for physical therapy. Despite multiple follow-ups, the physical therapy office never received the referral. I was also told a paper copy would be mailed to me, but I never received that either. I then contacted the call center to try to resolve the issue and received a message from Almendra on 5/7 outlining possible ways to get the referral to me. I responded the same day and followed up again two days later, but never received a response. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication was frustrating. On 5/11, I called the call center again and spoke with Kelly, who was kind and empathetic. She suggested that I could pick up a printed copy of the referral from someone named Connor at the Novato office on 5/12. When I arrived at the office today, Jasmine, Connor's medical assistant, approached me and asked what I needed. After I explained the situation, her response was: "You came all the way here for that? It's in MyChart." I explained that it had been three weeks since my appointment, I still had not received the referral despite repeated efforts, and I had not been able to access it in MyChart. At that point, her tone felt increasingly dismissive and condescending. She responded, "You know Dr. Shah is your doctor, right? Not Connor," to which I explained that I was aware of that, but had simply followed instructions from Kelly to ask for Connor specifically. Jasmine then corrected me by saying Kelly was from the call center, not the office. I'm not sure where the hostility came from, but this interaction felt unnecessarily disrespectful and dismissive. Patients who are already trying to navigate delays and administrative issues deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and empathy.

Covid: The office is incredibly clean and I know for a fact is sanitized in between every person. They do not have you share rooms with any other clients, and they work hard on scheduling so that there are not too many people at once. It is my favorite place other than my home to be during this pandemic. I feel completely safe there. Staff: Everyone here is amazing! Cony, the receptionist is amazing with the schedule. She makes sure to accommodate even the craziest of my weeks! She is also super nice and brings a positive energy and sense of calm to the space. Leo, the chiropractic assistant who is there a few days a week, is courteous, helpful, and very informative. He is right in step with Dr. Paul and gives his 100% to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly and getting the support you need. The Care: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Paul. For starters, he is the only doctor I have had in my life who I feel actually listens to my concerns. I am not afraid to tell him about my issues and pain because he actually wants to know about them and help me figure out how to fix them. Bedside manner = 15/10 truly. He started out the process by giving me a comprehensive exam and x-rays. After determining my issues, I began going to the office three times a week and receiving care. There has never been a time where I felt uncomfortable, and I have always felt listen to and supported, even during days where I felt discouraged. Results: I am a Theatre Director and Choreographer who used to suffer from daily headaches, neck and shoulder pain, knee issues, and back pain. I was an exhausted mess that covered my pain with a smile and a will to keep directing. Dr. Paul helped me realize the root of my issues and from then, it has been such an amazing journey working on getting myself straightened out. Dr. Paul's encouragement to do the work at home as well as in the office made all the difference. I feel taller, I can breathe with so much more ease and my pain is all nearly gone. I did not think I could live a life without pain and I am seeing the light of day that it is totally possible! I am so grateful and looking forward to seeing my continued progress over time. Altho I told him I'd already tried everything to fix my neck (and was left a little traumatized by it), I decided to take him up on his offer to give it a try. I also started seeing him for my troubled lower back, which has greatly increased the intervals between painful episodes. He's so wonderful that I have gladly paid out of pocket whenever I've been unable to convince insurance that I need his care more frequently than their protocols allow. I can now report that both neck and back are very close to 100% due entirely to Dr. Paul's excellent care.
