What impressed me most was that he actually reviewed my chart and the medications I take before prescribing anything.  He explained that one of the cough medications I had previously been prescribed could interact negatively with Venlafaxine, which I take, so he prescribed a different cough medicine instead. That may sound like something every doctor should do. Still, in my experience, this was the first time during an immediate-care visit that a doctor had clearly reviewed my medications closely enough to recognize a potential interaction before prescribing treatment.  I was genuinely impressed by his attention to detail and the care he took in making that decision. Dr. Heiberger is an excellent doctor--knowledgeable, attentive, straightforward, and willing to take the time to listen closely. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone seeking thoughtful and thorough medical care.

I was told that any new concerns would require a separate appointment. As a patient, this made the annual physical feel much less valuable. One of the reasons many people schedule a yearly exam is to discuss new symptoms, changes in health, preventive care, and other concerns that may have developed since the previous visit. Being restricted from bringing up new issues made me feel that my healthcare needs were not being fully addressed during the visit. I understand that practices have scheduling and billing requirements, but the policy was frustrating and left me feeling that the purpose of the annual physical was limited. I hope the office will reconsider how these appointments are handled and communicate expectations more clearly to patients.

Extremely disappointing experience with Physicians Regional Healthcare…read more I had three visits at the Center for Wound Care and was shocked by the charges. My three visits totaled $5,722 in outpatient hospital charges: $2,878 for the first visit (about 30 minutes for an examination and dressing), $1,858 for the second visit (removing, examining and replacing the dressing), and $986 for the third visit, which lasted about five minutes and ended with being told the wound was healed and I didn't need to return. At my first visit, I specifically asked about the cost and was told not to worry because they would bill my insurance. I was never informed that these visits would result in charges of this magnitude. After receiving the EOBs from my insurance, I immediately contacted the wound care director. He agreed the charges did not sound accurate and said he would look into it. I emailed him the EOBs on July 7 and followed up three additional times, but never received an answer. I then contacted the patient advocate, provided all of the information and followed up multiple times with no response. I also contacted billing and clearly explained that I was disputing the charges. I was told the issue would be reviewed and someone would get back to me. Instead, after months of trying to resolve this, I called today and was told there was no record of my calls or dispute and that the account had been sent to collections. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication, accountability and willingness to address a legitimate billing concern. I gave Physicians Regional multiple opportunities to investigate and resolve this, and nothing was done. I will not be returning to Physicians Regional Healthcare. Anyone using this health system should carefully review their bills and insurance statements and ask detailed questions about charges upfront.

Had to pay out of pocket for this visit as our daughter lives in Europe. Overall price was very reasonable (under $200), they also gave us a coupon for the medicine putting it at $12. The doc (Dr. Linzer) has loads of experience under his belt--30 years, works 7 days/week. Loves what he does! Couldn't ask for anything more, will have this place on speed dial.

While we were on vacation in Naples this summer I had an issue and needed urgent care…read more Unbeknownst to me before going swimming in the ocean, I must have had a papercut or other small cut on one of my fingers. After a few days, I woke up one morning with my finger swollen & inflamed, and it was pretty painful. We googled and found this walk-in clinic. With all the scary stories about Vibrio infections from swimming in sea water with an open wound, I was anxious to get treated as soon as possible. We arrived at around 9 or 9:30 AM and there was no wait. Dr Crisan saw me and prescribed Amoxicillin & Doxycyline for me immediately. She also lanced the blister that had popped up next to my fingernail & cleaned the wound. She suggested soaking my finger in water with Epsom salt a couple of times per day, which helped relieve the discomfort and encouraged faster healing. So thankful that I was able to get in and out quickly and I felt the service was very good. Would definitely come back if I ever need to see a doctor while visiting the area.

However, i dont think she has the support staff around her that she needs, and would advise her to branch out into her own practice etc. Support staff needs to put patients first and their preferences. I only see women professionals in all capacities of life, and to have a male nurse perform vitals on me was unacceptable even after raising objections. To tell me the female office manager i was talking with couldnt do it, any of the female office staff to come over and be an intern for 5 minutes, or a reasonable request of even Melissa McNeil to do them or the female nurse i saw in the lobby was too much of an overreach ask. Female nurses will always be in high demand as this is their calling card. Im going to be 40 years old and i think i know what im comfortable with especially when it comes to health care. I didnt need be reminded of something i already knew with a male touching me with their bad breathe. I understand this practice is under an umbrella of a male doctor whose motives must be questioned when seeing male patients and was maybe even trying to make inroads in seeing me too. Albeit this was one experience and shouldnt let it overshadow a span of care and a state of an art facility, but apparently it was enough for them to discontinue me as a patient. Making you wonder what are they in this profession for in the first place, why do they get up in the morning? ill leave it to you if you want to go here. Be a patient patient.
