Great place! If you are looking for some good down home cooking, here it is in the middle of know where! Blueberry pancakes are delicious! Ordered an omelet, hash browns, and an English muffin. Our tea was always filled! Service was excellent! Highly recommend.. Prices are reasonable. They also had a buffet set up, but we chose to eat breakfast instead. We also purchased a pan of cinnamon rolls for $10.00 to take home that was up by the cash register, very delicious.

We drive an hour each way to get to this gem near Pomona Lake in Kansas. We come for the broasted chicken. There are so many good sounding items on their menu, but we always get the broasted chicken. The meal is very inexpensive and includes a trip to the salad bar, roll, vegetable and potatoes. I wish it were closer to home so I could explore the menu and try different things. The restaurant is always full of friendly locals and the employees are all great.

My family has been coming here for decades when visiting nearby relatives in rural Kansas. Green Acres is definitely a down home country kinda place - and if you're into that, this place is for you. I almost don't want to say this part because I'm worried the owners will read this and jack up the prices (particularly in the current state of the market which is understandable), but the prices are so great for families. I meant where else can you still get an amazing piece of pie for $2.98 and a lunch buffet for less than $10? We fed a family of five for under $60 which was awesome - and no one went hungry. The broasted chicken, potato dishes and salad bar is where it's at here as well as any of the sweet desserts. Delicious. I also have a strong feeling based on what I've seen you can't go wrong with the burgers or breakfast. Now, I'm giving this place four stars because of the reasons expressed above, but if I was going to be a little more critical, I would give 3 1/2 stars because the rest of the food on the buffet - while good - tasted a little out of the box/can to me (green beans, corn, macaroni and cheese). I might be wrong but I just wish they had a bit more flavor and/or that home-cooked taste like the other items I mentioned. But again, how are you gonna beat the other positives?!? I'm sure we'll be back again next year because it's a tradition... and when in the area, "it's the place to be" #GreenAcresPun

My friend and I go often, the food is excellent, good size portions, reasonably priced, and we have never had bad service.

Good coffee, good breakfast. They have WiFi and will give you the pass if you ask. Well priced and good for bringing a family to.

We were told it was okay to sit in the back room, so we did. It was about halfway through dinner…read morerush. The lady who told us we could sit in the back followed us back but didn't offer us menus or anything. We sat for probably at least 10 minutes as staff came and went stocking the freezers and such. Finally located menus. Finally a server brought another table their food and noticed us sitting there. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger with fries, which was on special for $5. Mom ordered a ham salad and paid $2 upcharge to add egg. The food came out a lot faster than it took to order it. The burger and curly fries were very good, especially considering the price. The salad had a lot of toppings, and a bit of cut ham. The $2 egg was a sliced boiled egg that they'd forgotten until she reminded the server. The big salad was served on a small plate, which made it difficult to mix up and corral as Mom ate it. I'm not much of a fan of shredded lettuce, but at least their lettuce did seem very fresh. I can see why they stay busy with those special lunch prices. The food was quite good for the price. It's not anything fancy, but seemed clean and more popular than the other restaurants in town.

Saddlerock was recommended by our rental host and we weren't disappointed. Everything was what I…read moreexpected from a real breakfast place. The bonus was the fresh baked toast varieties. It gets even better... When we entered we noticed a sign that they were closing early for a day or two for a wedding. After we ate we drove to the tall grass prairie National Park for a hike. When we returned I realized that I had left my charge card at the restaurant. We drove over on the chance that someone might be staying late for clean up but no such luck. While parked out front getting ready to call and cancel the card a relative of the owner came from next door to check on us. She had her hair up in a scarf getting ready for the wedding festivities. She opened up and found my card and had her grandson run it out to me. Saved me a lot of headaches. Love Saddlerock! Great food and great people. Next morning, wedding day, we ate at another breakfast spot with a line of grumpy locals who were wishing Saddlerock was open. WE are wishing the newlyweds a great future.
