When we first spoke with the salesperson, we were told that someone named "Insto" would return within a week to complete the remaining work. However, as of today--more than a month later--nothing has been finished. The job site was left incomplete, as you can see in the attached photo, and no one has followed up or contacted us to schedule a proper finish. We've been left completely in the dark and feel abandoned. We trusted this company based on their reputation, but this level of service is unacceptable. We sincerely hope Mr. Furnace sees this and takes action--not just for us, but to ensure other customers don't go through the same frustrating experience.

They caused significant delays, installed incorrect wiring, failed to take responsibility, misled me about legal action regarding an energy advisor they recommended, and ignored my concerns about my rebate. - Major Delays & Installation Mistakes: The installation was delayed for nearly three weeks due to missing parts. When they finally did the work, an ESA inspector found a serious wiring mistake, causing even more delays. I also had to personally identify a missing wiring element that their installers overlooked, which was an unacceptable level of negligence. - Failure to Take Responsibility: Despite their "satisfaction guarantee," they have refused to properly address these mistakes. Every complaint was met with excuses, escalation, and no real resolution. - False Promises & Misleading Legal Claims: Mr. Furnace recommended and scheduled an energy advisor, Sean Corcoran, for my audit, but he never completed it. When I raised concerns, their sales manager, Adam Bond, told me legal action was being taken against him--but I later found out this was false, with no updates or accountability. - Three Weeks Just to Get an Invoice! After my installation, it took me three weeks of constant follow-ups just to get a copy of my invoice with the heat pump's part numbers. Every time I asked, they claimed it was "escalated"--but nothing happened. I eventually had to drive 1 hour and 30 minutes to their office, where I met with General Manager Sean Picco, who finally provided the invoice. - Ignored Concerns About My Rebate: After assisting with the invoice, Sean Picco has ignored all my emails and calls regarding my concerns about the rebate. Instead of addressing my questions, he has been completely unresponsive. - Unfulfilled Compensation Promises: Manager Mark Heggs promised me $500 in compensation for the massive delays and mistakes. That's barely anything considering my installation cost over $30,000--but even that was never fulfilled. Just another empty promise from this company. And before they reply to this review with their usual "We will be reaching out" response--don't believe it. I have contacted them MANY times, and their tactic is to delay, deflect, and ignore. They do not actually follow through on fixing issues. If you've had a bad experience with Mr. Furnace, you're not alone! Contacting Frank has proven to be one of the best choices we have ever made! Frank is knowledgeable, dependable, efficient, and goes above and beyond just installing his products at a cost thousands of dollars less than our lowest estimates!! In addition to replacing our air conditioning system, he actually took it upon himself to register the unit and to pay to have the appropriate cover sent to us. I find his business ethic as amazing and would absolutely recommend having Niagara Heating and Cooling as your choice to handle any of your heating and cooling needs.

My old Rheem furnace was going to be 29 years old in February. It had done its job and heated my 3000 ft.² 108 year-old home sufficiently, over the years, save for four years ago I had a scare in the middle of February when the temperature went into the single digits here for a week. It just died. I called one of the radio HVAC cos. Big mistake. They did not try to restart my furnace. They said I had to replace it. I called someone else and had it restarted and it lasted four years. I decided to replace it this winter before it broke again. I reached out through the Yelp search tool, and had six different well-known local HVAC companies contact me. I didn't select any of them, and instead I requested an estimate from a company who had done Plumbing work for me, that year. They came out and took photos of my furnace, and gave me a very thorough estimate and suggested that I get a heat pump to replace the air-conditioning unit outside, because a heat pump is more efficient, and the unit was getting near the end of its life cycle outside, and there were rebates offered by both national fuel and the federal government they were going to expire at the end of 2025. I inquired about replacing the humidifier and he said the 15-year-old one I had was fine. They spec'd a Carrier system. I also reached out to a company that emphasized its 25 five star reviews on Yelp. They came out took pictures of the old furnace too. They told me that they really don't do heat pumps and I should just replace my unit outside with a standard air-conditioning unit. The owner informed me via writing that I could either get a Heil or a Tempstar furnace. They are the same unit, and they slap whatever plastic name tags are available??? I did discover that this was partly true. I then somehow found JP Heating & Cooling and decided to call them and they were very easy to schedule an estimate. Jim, the owner came out. He asked me about the air in the house and did I feel that it was clean and that the humidifier was working. And I told him no. And he told me what size furnace I should get and I definitely need a heat pump outside to replace the HVAC unit. He also said I needed a new humidifier and he also said based upon the size of my house the 8 inch ductwork downstairs was not sufficient and that I needed to get 12 inch ductwork around the furnace to make the unit work more efficiently. I asked him why he didn't photograph the furnace and he said because "I measured down here, and I don't need to see what you had, to know what size furnace you are going to need! So of the three estimates that I received, JP Heating & Cooling was the highest by 20%! However, I knew they were going to do a lot more work than the other people, and I trusted them to do it right. He spec'd all Trane equipment. He ended up putting a 5 inch filter in. They ended up upgrading the circuit breakers in my one year-old 200 amp panel. He rewired everything. Jim's dad even came in one day to do work! It took approximately four days straight to complete the installation. BTW, We were never without heat very long! They probably worked an average of 8 hours a day. The equipment is impressive and well-made. The heat pump outside is substantial. More so than the Carrier Heat Pump. I am very happy that I hired JP Heating & Cooling. I would never hire anyone else to do Heating work ever again. I probably used a half a dozen different HVAC people here over 35 years. If you need your system upgraded, you've got to call Jim. They will do it right. I am going to hopefully get over $5000 back and rebates and tax credits so it helps minimize the impact. He has been back to my house a couple times to adjust the humidifier. He even suggested that I may need to get a steam unit and he would give me a credit towards the old unit and adjust the bill if I chose to move forward. But he thinks the house is so large that it's doing the best they can and I agree with him. How many contractors would give you a credit towards a three week old humidifier? Hire them.

Called on Wednesday, explained the problems to Jim and was pleasantly surprised when he said he could come by on Friday! This was not an emergency and I would never have gotten this quick of response from the company I was with before. Jim arrived on time, we discussed the problems and agreed on the repairs. Called these guys and promptly received a call back…read more Although the gentleman on call couldn't make it over there that day, they had someone call back the next morning and arrive by afternoon, which was July 4th. The service fee wasn't egregious for it being July 4th. The problem was as suspected, a capacitor that was shot. They had one on the truck they could swap it out with. The only qualm I had was they charged like $380 for the part, when it's $40 or so at Home Depot. Just seems like a little heavy on the upmark, but with it being July 4th; I was just grateful to get the A/C fixed. Good communication; recommended! Parts were a little pricey.

Last night I turned off all the Electric base board heaters ,and set my new unit to keep my whole place warm for the night . I woke this morning, and it was warm !!!! so happy the whole place was warm ! Yes its warming out side but the mornings are always cold in that add a room . This is how the job went . I called Noco when I decided to spend the money and stop complaining about the cold place I had bought. JUMP in and spend!! it its worth it , And the people at Noco the best . I got an appointment for the next week to have it done . They came, it took a few hours , they finished that day . I am so happy with the unit and the Men that installed it . Even The service man came to check on the installers and how the job was going. His name is Dave, My Installers were Dave, and Andrew . My sales person was so informative, The Best ! His name is Steve. He also came to check the project. I couldn't praise them any more the 5 stars ? But I would have !!!!!Great Company!
