    Shrimp and grits - YUM!
    Ali S.

I found this local gem in a stand alone brick building on the corner. It was 3pm on a Fri and they were open. I ordered the small shrimp and grits and enjoyed every bite. It was a perfect as it gets for my tastes. I ordered the cheese steak for my husband who I left fishing at the campground. I'm sure it's wonderful too. I sampled a piece of carrot cake and the remains may or may not make it home. The service was impeccable and ambiance was comfy.

Great food, large portions, friendly staff. Try their shrimp and grits which are excellent! We will eat there whenever we pass through.

Busy establishment. Sat in a booth near the entrance and was greeted by the server. She dropped off our menus and brought us waters. After a few minutes she took our order. I had the western omelette with a side of hash browns and a biscuit. Wife ordered two eggs, hash browns and toast. The omelette was extra oily and the hash browns were mostly undercooked. Wife's hash browns were the same. Her eggs were over medium and were fine. I will say the omelette did taste good. The service was ok. The bathrooms were horrendously dirty. Overall, if you're willing to take a risk and try something "different", this might be your place. Hopefully new owners can fix this place up.

Good thing we sat close to the unit to stay cool. The service was very prompt and courteous although I had to keep asking for refills. Third, the double pattied hamburger was about 4 inches round maybe 3 oz a patty each. I ordered the tater tots and got exactly 12. My husband got the same burger, but French fries instead. He got 14 fries. The tomato slice on both sandwiches was bigger than the 2 patties of meat! Our bill for lunch with drinks and tip was over $35. Shame on you Huddle House. This was as skimpy as you can get. We've eaten a lot of burgers and fries other places for the same prices and nothing like what we got served.
