My second time to enjoy this Gem, only been to Iowa twice from Texas and twice I have enjoyed the Breakfast House. I have had some wonderful meals while here, however, breakfast here is without a doubt the best!!! I will always make the trip to this location if within a Hundred miles gladly. Friendly service, Smiles by all staff, EXCELLENT choices and clean plates were left. I do not know how to express HIGHLY recommended any more than that. Just go and you will Thank yourself for doing so.

I have visited the breakfast house four times and from the first to the most recent, everything is always on point! Our first visit was what drew us in. The Pancakes!!! I'm not sure what they put in them but, oh my gosh! Food is piping hot, ingredients fresh, their selection!! Chefs kiss!

Homemade amazing food. I had the eggs Benedict. So yummy! The yogurt parfait was great and so was the coffee. Would absolutely eat here again. Casual atmosphere with a small town cafe feel but the food is a step above for sure. I had a little bit of my husband's pancake and wow! Delicious!

A little breakfast joint that was amazing. We love little dives and this fit the bill! Service was quick, despite being slammed at 9 Am on a Sunday. I had AMAZING pancakes, eggs and bacon. My Person got the country fried steak skillet. The wheat toast was amazing as well. Coffee cups were never empty and prices were reasonable.

I'm absolutely impressed. This was a fantastic find. We both had fantastic meals and were 100% happy with our visit. I'm not even going to try any other breakfast location in this town. Everyone must try this place except when I want to eat here then you must save me a seat.

The waitress saw my Beat State shirt and brought me this cup. Perfect!

This is a small diner with great food and service. Prices are right, and the coffee is plentiful!

I absolutely loved this mom and pop style Breakfast House Cafe. I took my family here when they were visiting town. We were helped and seated by a very friendly waitress when we walked in and she continued to help us throughout our stay for breakfast. The whole place was pretty clean as well as busy. From what I noticed, there was one waitress and 5 cooks on duty. They all provided us with excellent service. We ordered our food relatively quickly after getting our drinks served to us. She warned us that the pancakes were gigantic (the size of the large plate)...and they sure were huge pancakes. My food came perfectly as ordered special for my dietary needs. All of our food was delicious and perfectly cooked the way we ordered it. A wonderful place to enjoy a warm, delicious, homemade breakfast!

Excellent food, good prices, nice portions. Good service. Small shop but not cramped. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Cedar Rapids. Good food, service, and constant refills on the coffee.

Delicious food, could be a little bit bigger. I have no problem waiting for a table to open up though.

Food was good. FOX News and sign that read, "We reserve the right to seat our customers, " were a real turn off. Will not return.

I ordered a Margarita. It was excellent! Great taste and nice presentation. My wife gota a glass of wine from their decent wine list, and my brother got a very reasonably priced 7-7. Drinks were great and our food came out quickly. I got the Montreal Beef Sandwich. Tasty brisket with a great combination of flavors. Fries were good. My wife got the Salmon BLT, which was also very good, with great bacon and a nice slab of fish. She got the upcharged Brussels Sprouts for her side and they were also tasty. My brother got the Arnold Palmer Chicken Sandwich, a tea-soaked sandwich that he enjoyed. He got the house chips, and they were also good. Service was attentive, and both servers who hit up our table were great. Fun vibe, and what looks to be and up-and-coming neighborhood.

The salmon was good on my egg Benedict, but the hollandaise sauce was clumpy and it was overall underwhelming. The bite I had of my friend's lox bagel tasted pretty good. I ordered the Chocolate Chip Banana Brioche Bread Pudding for dessert and my friend order the beignets. I thought the chocolate chip and chocolate sauce overpowered the bread pudding. I would have preferred less chocolate sauce and more cream sauce to balance out the chocolate chips. However, if you are a chocolate lover and you can enjoy it with a large glass of milk it may be right up your alley. The beignet were disappointing compared to those in New Orleans. The beignet's exterior was harder than normal and they weren't as fluffy. The service was overall good, however I wish the waitress would have asked if I would like a refill, versus me flagging her down 10 minutes after my glass was empty especially since the soda/tea glasses are about half the size of other restaurants.

I rarely give out 5 stars but here we are. We have never…read moretried LP Street Food before last night but ended up there by mistake. I thought it was the restaurant that was featured on KCRG for their decorations. But boy was I glad I did. The place was decorated with all kinds of Christmas decorations like on the news and the place was festive. We had our best meal there we've had anywhere in a long time. This is a gem that needs to be upvoted. We ordered the $21 ribeye, thinking ya sure, ribeye for $21 where everywhere else is $30 to $40 dollars. It was delicious, perfectly done to my request, great sides of potatoes and zucchini and Chimichirri sauce. We also ordered the Asian Potsticker Salad. Again, just delicious. With two amber pints for happy hour we the best dinner in months. Help was exceptional and all employees looked to be very happy working there, I asked. Highly recommend, and we'll be going back to try all there other specialties.
