Hey there Kelly It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday and wanted to say thank you for the pour over. I'm partial to Ethiopian beans, but you were right ..Brandywine and Columbia put out amazing flavors with that one. I don't know how your team does it, but there was absolutely no hint of bitterness at all.. I do pour overs every day at home, but can't match the quality and flavors that your team is able to pull from those beans. Latte's are ridiculously consistently good. I've been coming to your spot since you opened for two reasons. The first is the people. Everyone is always friendly, and I just feel good being there. STAFFS-GIVING 2021 was something I've never experienced before and thought that was a great move on your part. ..and I never ever received a gift card FROM a business I frequent in my 50+ trips around the sun. That was an amazing touch, and can't be more thankful for that gesture. Hopefully, I can expand my horizons and give Dover Rock City a try this summer. Went there few weeks ago because my friend recommended the place to me. Asked for a medium iced latte with mocha and maple syrup and got a small hot latte instead!! Asked the guy at the register about it and what he did left me all puzzled. He took a plastic cup, put some ice cubes in there and poured the already made hot coffee in it and gave it to me with an attitude. Normally I wouldn't care about it much but I paid 7$ for a that cup of coffee including tip and it's my hard working money. I understand they are very popular in the area and have a very successful business but if they start treating customers like this then good luck keeping the business for long time. I was so upset about the whole thing that I promised myself I'd never go back there and ask my unh friends not to go either. My wife and I get the same order most weekends and they have been pretty consistent in the past. However in the past month or so they can't seem to get the sauce proportions correct on their breakfast sandwiches. Some days it's plenty, others it's barely a dab. The first time I walked into this coffee shop, I was impressed. It's clean, cozy and has lots of seating options. The customer service was top notch and let's not forget what brought me there in the first place....the coffee. My latte was specially crafted by skilled baristas and it was not only beautiful, it was delicious! Great first impression! Especially during these times I enjoy the businesses with signs up about masks, sanitary steps etc. this place had it immediately on the front door and when you walk in. I did some tease arch online on the menu but wanted a little more info. When I got to the counter I was helped by Kasey. Very informative about their iced coffee and the home made flavored syrups they have! Which I love homemade, in-house anything in all honesty. I enjoyed a vanilla sweetened cold brew with chocolate chip banana bread that was TO DIE FOR! I will be returning ASAP, thank you for a great first experience especially during these hard times. I'll keep this brief because I'm on a coffee break from work, but Flight is a giant breath of fresh air for the downtown Dover scene. Pros: Delicious coffee (served to you virtually any way you've ever had it), biodegradable straws and cups, excellent sandwiches and local baked goods, great ambiance/music selection, and they serve BEER! So the neighborhood coffee shop is way more than just that. Cons: Haven't found any. Maybe that I just can't afford to eat there everyday. P.s. We had the oat milk latte and a pour over special -- was impressed with the fragrant coffee beans and smooth brewing. Seems to be a bigger chain with local flair, I think this place might be a popular study spot pre-COVID. I had a great visit and definitely will come back whenever I am in town. read more

A friend suggested this little coffee spot to me and finally stopped in to give a try! I am not a huge coffee drinker so I opted for my favorite chai tea! It was delicious but definitely not as sweet as maybe a Starbucks chai tea. I really enjoyed it because I didn't feel like I was drinking a bunch of sweetener or syrup. I also enjoyed a nice, moist size of Pumpkin bread! The vibe is really mellow and it is a great place to use your laptop or bring a good book and relax! read more

Flight is a quality and cozy coffeeshop. The interior is very well thought out - think heavy use of reclaimed wood and good lighting. The problem is that I don't get to go very often because the hours are terrible. They open too late to catch on your way to work and close way too early to grab a coffee after work. It's almost like they chose hours to be as inaccessible as possible. They don't alter the hours on the weekends, so don't even think about getting an afternoon latte. I realize they have a right to set their own hours, but when you think community coffeeshop, you generally think of a gathering place that is a little more accessible to the masses. read more

Flight is a great addition to the downtown Dover community. Dover is constantly growing and is becoming home to a much younger, hipper population that has a strong need for places like Flight. Stumbled upon here for a quick bite. Cold brew was perfectly made. Cortado was vibrant but latte art was a bit sloppy. Fresh tasting bagels with delicious ingredients. They ran out of the everything bagel before noon, so we ended up getting the rosemary bagel; it was okay. We still enjoyed our meal. The décor was gorgeous and rustic without being pretentious. It wouldn't be out of place in Cambridge or Brooklyn. Def worth coming back to. read more

I like the coffee here but I got an iced coffee with such a large chunk of ice that my straw would not go through. I brought it back (because it was very hot and I needed it!!!) and the person at the register didn't believe me so they took a straw and also couldn't get it through the ice as they apparently didn't believe me?? Flight has seriously upped New Hampshire's coffee game! First, I must address the negative comments. I consider the negative comments to be examples of the entitlement, miseducation, and ignorance that plagues our society. Terms such as "burnt" and "acidy" are used without knowledge of what these words mean within the context of coffee. Statements like "I feel like I am betraying adele's" and "I had to add so much sugar" scream prejudgement and lack of knowledge. I can only conclude that many of the people writing negative comments are trolls looking for a free hand out. Further, I find it personally insulting that these trolls assume that I want to read their unintelligent posts. Now for my review. I am over the moon that Flight coffee has decided to open a café. Having recently moved east from California, where specialty coffee is much more prolific, I was concerned that I would have trouble finding high quality coffee. Upon the recommendation of another cafe in New Hampshire, I drove 45 minutes to investigate Flight. My fiancee and I spent two hours at the Café engaging the staff in intelligent conversation about the origin of the coffee we were drinking. The experience deepened my appreciation for the people who grow, roast and prepare my coffee. Flight offers their coffee in a number of styles: Batch brew, Hario poor over, Bee House pour over, french press, Chemex, and even syphon. Their Barista's attention to detail is beyond reproach-they take your coffee very seriously. Before the coffee was served, the Barista warmed our cups with hot water to ensure that there was no temperature loss when he poured. Before I tried a second coffee, the barista handed me a cup of sparkling water to "clear my pallet". I mean COME ON! How awesome is that?! I had also noticed that everything they did was timed and weighed, which I was told ensures consistency. The equipment was all of the highest quality which also helps to ensure that consistency. If you are looking for a low quality cup of coffee served by someone with no clue about what their serving, than this definitely is NOT the place for you. But if your looking to seriously up your coffee game, than Flight is your new training grounds. Flight has EARNED my future patronage. read more

The hours are awesome, the atmosphere is cozy and cute, and the drinks are great! (The ones I've tried, anyway - I still want to try a pour over. It's awesome that it's an option! Went in after hearing so much about Flight. The space was beautiful! No greetings from staff, but I figured they were still new and people were still learning. My latte, and the latte of my friend both tasted consistently burnt. I'm not sure what was burnt. It could've been the milk or espresso or both. My wife had been asking to go to flight for a long time since we moved to Dover. I reluctant at first, but took a chance and now I am hooked. We went in and first thing that took me back was how big the establishment is. Plenty of seating, plus couches for a more comfortable stay. Coffee lingo is something I am still working on, but I got an Americano and my wife got a chai tea. I had gotten two slices of Banana bread which was amazing. My wife got one of their breakfast sandwiches which she raved about. Price wise, if you are used to your "dunks" or aroma joe prices, sadly you are in the wrong place.
