I was nervous pulling up. It was a little building on the side of the road, and didn't look like too much from the outside. Stepping in I realized this is a community hub. Between the events they put on, the artwork for show and sale, and the elementary school projects, it was clear this place loves and values the community they are apart of. Food was tasty and coffee was good, but the small details were really what made it. Even something as simple as a coaster helped make this such a great experience.

I was recommended by a few people to try this, and I'm 10 minutes away! I would highly recommend! The atmosphere is simple, but relaxing! The crew was very kind and incredibly helpful. I ordered the Farmer's Breakfast which was on a homemade cheddar biscuit, though a tad crumbly (my error!) was delicious. My partner got an avocado toast with bacon, and he said it was also delicious. To be glutinous, we added a hazelnut chocolate croissant which has a Nutella-like inside, and while flaky, and delectable, was not overly sweet. The other pastry we added was a raspberry and to be honest, I'll never enjoy another raspberry danish anywhere else it was so tasty! For our coffees, we both got a large hot latte; I had the vanilla maple with oat milk, and he had his with salted caramel maple and whole milk, and neither disappointed! Their espresso was balanced (perfect median of strength), and full-bodied, and the foam was the ideal foam for a latte. This shop also sells local beer and wines, soaps, sprays, photography and ceramics by local artists, even local floral designs and flowers. In June through the fall they also host a farmers market. 10/10 a must try; definitely a hidden gem! I hope you give them a try!

Everytime I come in wether it being to order and sit for a while or pick up my online order to then always add on more bakery items. Anything and everything I've had there is very good and well made. I've never been disappointed with anything including service. The staff is so friendly to where I've become a regular.

I ordered a plain latte, hot, made with unsweetened almond milk, and a slice of lemon poppyseed coffee cake. I relaxed into the depths of a velvet arm chair while my latte was crafted. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and prompt. My latte was perfect! The lemon poppyseed coffee cake was moist with a fine crumb and enough to share nibbles with my Chihuahua. I will definitely be back when in the area! The parking is on street as can score a space. The seating is plentiful with arrangements for both singles, doubles, and larger groups. The shop is welcoming for young ones too! I definitely would have hung out here when our young person was little!

Several groups were in house when we arrived: friends visiting, a couple, a young woman and her sleeping infant, a remote worker. So it's clearly a spot the locals enjoy. Their menu includes espresso, drip coffees and teas (hot or cold) and a variety of coffee and tea drinks and syrups. At the time of our visit, late on a Monday morning, the pastry on offer included two buns (cinnamon?), and several donuts. I understand from the barista they source the donuts from Brother's donuts in Franklin and are the "Best in the State". The barista was very personable and pleasant during our quick chat. She served up the donut I ordered and brought my coffee to my seat when ready. She did ask if I was ordering to stay or to-go. Although my donut was on a glass plate, coffee was served in a paper cup. I do wish it were in a glass or china cup/mug. Cardboard detracts from the espresso drink experience IMHO. Still, the drink was well made. Creamy (I chose whole milk) with an espresso bite. What I thought was a Boston cream donut isn't exactly. This was a cake donut (usually it's a yeast donut) filled with vanilla cream (instead of custard) and had a nice milk chocolate frosting on top. I like cake donuts and this was a very nice one. It was very big. Almost too big to bite into. Background music is a playlist of current, uptempo tracks. Nothing jarring, just a nice steady, positive vibe. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Guests were mostly quiet. I didn't even hear the remote worker on a call. Definitely try this coffee shop. It's the kind of coffee shop I'd love to have in my own neighborhood.

She's even asked before if I have flavor requests for the gf muffins. All of the staff is friendly, too. Beverage selection is great and they have fun seasonal latte flavors. Best draw of this place is the latte and chai flights! I've seen them other places for crazy expensive prices. The flights, like everything here, are very reasonably priced and a fun way to try different flavors. I've noticed in my time going here that they always keep up with trends, like adding lemonade flights and energy drinks. I don't usually order hot food, but I've loved the sandwiches I've tried. Like the drinks, they have quality ingredients and fun recipes. I've visited off hours and during rushes, and the staff is always prompt and organized. The atmosphere is great for hanging out and they keep close ties to the community, such as selling art and allowing by local businesses to display their business cards. I recently stopped buying coffee out to save money, but I'll absolutely this local business whenever I'm craving a treat.

Most of the individual bakery items are preplastic wrapped or packaged in clear plastic containers, similar to what the former Route 28 Bakery of Chichester did over a decade ago. The baked goods sold here include a variety of cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, cupcakes, pie slices, cake slices, muffins, and fresh baked flaky calzone pockets. They also sell breakfast items, pudding cups, edible cookie dough, eclairs, cream puffs, chocolate covered pretzels, macarons, tiramisu, fruit tarts, sandwiches, salads, coffee, shakes, and cold drinks. I stopped by Oonah's Cafe & Bakery after work recently. I decided to get a Steak & Cheese Flaky Calzone ($10 plus tax), a large Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($2.75 plus tax), and a French Toast Muffin ($2.50 plus tax). The calzone was made and baked to order fresh. About 15 minutes later, the calzone was all set, served with a cup of marinara sauce for dipping. Though small in size, the hot and flaky calzone was really good and was filled with shaved steak and melted cheese and great for dipping into the cool marinara sauce. The French toast muffin was dense and soft, like a sweet cake muffin. The chocolate chunk cookie was thick and soft with plenty of chocolate in each bite and great with my hot coffee. Other than the absence of cannolis (that was Cannoli Stop, reopening in Concord), the baked goods here at Oonah's are pretty good.

It's the place you want to sit with a lavender latte (my favorite!) or grab something quick without sacrificing quality. The food is where they really shine--everything I've tried has been amazing. The bahn mi, buffalo chicken wrap, dilly salmon sandwich, gyro with lamb, and the açaí bowl have been my favorites so far. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Their homemade sauces take everything up a notch (and I often get extra because I love sauces) and the smoothies are great for a quick filling option. I also love that they've got plenty of grab-n-go options, interesting bubble waffles, and a big variety of drinks including lots of coffee teas seltzer drinks and even ice cream floats. The pastries are also to die for (chocolate croissant and spinach ham swirl have been my favorite so far). There's always something new to try. Whether you're hanging out for a while or just running in, this place is a total gem and hands-down beats any cafe around. I'm so glad they've stayed open longer this fall, and I hope they'll stay open year round eventually!
