It's obviously a well thought out coffee house with our music activities food for everybody I do wish they had more description of what certain drinks were so it would make it easier for me to be adventurous but otherwise top notch can't really complain also I'm sure if I'd done a little research I would know it was in the purple Haze tea that I was considering getting instead I went with the juice which I was grateful they had so that means even space for kids and I did see some enjoying themselves but I'd say come prepared bring some chalk for their chalkboard space for the kids to use or have them some activities so that they don't become bored and I'm sure if you look around enough there books that you can borrow while you're hanging out and using up their space but all over I'd say this is definitely the Dover coffee house for me read more

Update: Came back a few more times after my last review three years ago, and how much this place has changed! This time I got a frappe (which is a little watery, but still good!), and the vanilla latte. Both great and will be coming more often. read more

I love their various vegetarian menu options. The food is fresh, nutritious and delicious. I'm not a coffee person so my favorite drink is the Mint Matcha. Favorite entree is the Packed Bowl. I wish they didn't close their kitchen at 2pm when their hours are till 4pm. read more

Came in for the first time to try a hot chai, and it had almost no flavor at all! Tasted like hot milk. The only flavor was the little shake of cinnamon they added on the top. Really disappointed since it's a nice walk from work at lunch. read more

Flight has a great space but leaves much to be desired. For a trendy coffee shop, they have very few vegan and vegetarian options for food. They only have cold brew for iced coffee, which coffee lovers know that there is a difference. Additionally, when ordering a chai iced latte, was just chai latte mix and milk, the milk was not frothed and the entire drink tasted very very watery. Lastly, there are so many flies. We covered our coffees with napkins to keep them as bay. At one point, I had 5 flies inside the restaurant on the window next to my table at one time. When we went to order muffins there were MANY fruit flies in the case that we decided against it. Additionally, if you are getting coffee to go, be prepared for one single size. I really don't appreciate this because I often find myself wanting a large coffee only to be left with about a medium size. Not sure the restaurant's rational for doing this. read more

I have watched many incarnations of coffee shops in this location over the years - and even considered this corner my main Dover "hangout" at several points in time - but, with Flight Coffee, they have reached the highest pinnacle of quality, selection and experience that has ever existed here. Experience is what I'd like to highlight herein, since so many other reviews have covered the excellence of their coffee - coffee which is truly amazing. Because stopping here is an experience. I mean, sure, you can run in, order a standard cup and bolt. You'll get a good product, at a slightly above-standard cost. You may or may not reflect upon what you are drinking or how good it is. You may spill some. You know: life. The same crappy hustle that defines modern life, kills the soul, and why pharmaceutical companies now rule the world. But, if you take the time to select (or ask the knowledgeable and friendly staff to suggest*) the right coffee/tea type and the brew method (of several options) that speaks to you, then take the time to sit in this relaxed, unpretentious** atmosphere and savor it...well, it pretty much all comes together. Your day will likely be vastly improved. I have had several different coffee selections here, and a friend has tried the tea service. Our first trip here together created a fond memory and a great experience. Can I give any higher praise? I have yet to try the food, but am really looking forward to the soup and grilled cheese combo. (I'm not hip enough for the avocado toast.) I also plan on trying every possible incarnation of coffee they offer. Make no mistake, if you are used to a diner "cup of joe", with diner prices, you may experience a bit of sticker shock. But you may also learn to love coffee for the flavor, and not just the kick. And you may discover that tea made from actual plants, rather than bagged floor sweepings, can be delightful. * My first time in, I walked up to the counter and asked the first person I saw to make me the best cup of coffee I had ever had: dealer's choice. And, I'll be damned if, after a couple of questions and few moments of thought, he pulled off a tie with the best I've had. Which is more impressive than it may sound. I have had a lot of great coffee. ** Key to my enjoyment of the place. An extremely high standard and exacting protocol does not have to equal pinky-extended snobbery. This place is professional and painstakingly careful (read: full of care), but relaxed. This balance takes deliberate effort to pull off, and they nailed it. read more

I came here a while back when I was visiting New England and I'm pretty sure this place is a hidden gem. I came here with a few friends when it was snowing like crazy, so to come to a spacious, yet cozy, warm place (both the people and the ambience) made the trek worth it. So, apparently this place is known for their homemade bagels?! WHAT. I honestly cannot remember for the life of me the bagel I got, but from what I hear, they're all good. So, I went ahead and ordered the Bacon Me Crazy ordeal (egg, bacon, tomato cheddar, and N.H. Maple Syrup) w/ my "unknown-but, I'm-pretty-sure-it-was-cheese" bagel. And yeah, you heard me. Maple syrup was all over that goodness. It was so good, I'm drooling just thinking about it. And for my drink? I ordered the chai, which all syrups and drinks are made in house. So yes, the chai too, was made from scratch. And the service? They were all great. The managers were out and about making coffee through the siphon and chemex and offered some coffee tastings to a friend who was a regular there. Overall, everything was great. Friendly. 2018 Update: I'm knocking one star off this review due to the ongoing problems with Flight's Internet connection, which appears to be using IPv6 to filter traffic (the web works, but not any form of app/other data on your device). This is a shame, since the owners have clearly invested so much in making the ambiance a cozy, comfortable place to hang out, but not if if you cannot get work done. I'll update later if anything changes. I haunt more coffee shops than Casper on Saturday morning cartoons. Having worked out of near every coffee shop from Boston to Portsmouth to Portland I can legitimately claim Flight is hands-down one of the most cozy, competent, and consistent place to work with a quality cup of beans by your side. Coffee selections are varied and menu options like Stonehouse donuts and the amazing Trailmarker (get it with bacon, trust me) are delicious accompaniments to your specialty coffee. Weekend live musicians entertain and free board games bring a sense of community to the space few others match. Aan incredibly well thought out rustic yet modern interior place Flight a level unmatched by any other in the seacoast or, arguably, even Boston or Portland proper. Cheap parking, superb service, and central location only help. Now if only it was profitable for them to stay open a bit later during the week, I would probably never leave this place. read more

Best coffee shop in Dover! 100% hooked! Flight is absolutely the best coffee shop I can find in Dover. The coffee, the food, the service, the vibe are just perfect. I love going to Flight for a breakfast after morning jog around Dover downtown and Henry Law Park. The Café Latte is so good (both Hot and Ice). The Asiago Bagel with Cheese Spread is my favorite. The Peanut Butter toast is also quite satisfying for breakfast. The donut is a bit too sweet for me. In the weekend, Flight Coffee sometimes has open mic or live music session. They post the schedule on the wall next to the counter and in their IG. I've never been to one but will definitely go one day. The only one thing I would like to give suggestion is for their opening hours to be longer especially in the weekends. read more

Flight offers a great variety of delicious coffees (including siphon flights), lattes, and food. The siphon flights are really cool but they don't let you watch them make it as they do at the Starbucks Reserve locations. There's a small seating bar up where the barista makes drinks, so if they convert this to focus on pour overs and siphons instead of to go orders, it would be even better. There's often a bit of a line when you walk in but there's plenty of seating so no need to worry about having to take your food to go. There's a variety of breakfast sandwiches from sweet to savory, and all are Delicious! Coming to flight you definitely will not leave disappointed. While all the pastries are good, try the chocolate chip pumpkin bread for a great fall treat! read more

Flight has been such a welcome addition to Dover since it first started at the corner years ago. The staff is always friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure that you have everything that you need. The coffee shop itself is spacious, perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done on a more quiet weekday morning. They have a great offering of both breakfast and lunch food and every form of coffee or tea one could want. They support locals artists of all kinds and even have a great selection of their own beans as well as beans from other cool companies for you to brew your own cup of coffee at home. I wish I lived closer to Dover because I would go to Flight all the time. I was so impressed with their cool decor and great list of drinks. I ordered an iced Purple Haze tea and it was so good. Probably the best iced tea I've had and I loved the lavender. I've never been a fan of lavender in tea before but this worked so well with the other ingredients. Yum. We were there on a quiet Wednesday morning so not much of a wait. I really liked the cool artwork they had for sale (I even followed the artist's FB to see what else he's up to). OMG- do I have a new Fav coffee shop? I do get a little fickle naming fav's but... First, my latte was excellent. And I know a good latte when I meet one! Beautiful shop, easy parking, super friendly people, very knowledgable, lots of coffee offerings, they even make Aerobie Press coffee. Never seen that except on a camping trip. But they have pour over, even a siphon coffee maker. Way cool. And very comfy and chill vibe. The pastry selection is small but look excellent. Unfortunately my GF convinced me it's time for low carbs for awhile. Darn I hate when she does that. Missing are breakfast food items, oatmeal, ACAI bowls, etc that are s mainstay of Southern California coffee shops. Hence 4 stars. And I would be remiss if not mentioning my standard line.
