Staff here is awesome, they asked us where we were heading and when we said Yellowstone, they told us not to follow our GPS. It seems if we had gone that way, we would have had to try to turn around and come back, route 385 is under construction and a there was a spot where the clearance isn't more than 10 feet high. That would have been very bad for us. While hubby filled up the tank, I went into the bar attached to the country store. I looked at their menu and decided to order some pizza for our 8 hour drive. So glad I did, they were really good. We ordered the meat lovers and a chicken with garlic. Both were very tasty and when we come back this way, we will definitely stop in and get some again. Prices were decent on everything. Great little stop in the center of fork in the roads.

The staff are very nice. 4. They do have very, very cute gifts. But, as a chocolate snob, I don't taste the best ingredients in their truffles. It tastes like there's some sort of emulsifier/hardner in their chocolate, paraffin? Artificial ingredients or stabilizers, preservatives? Not the best brand of chocolate to begin with, slightly too hard for the true consistency a Truffle should be. If you're wanting a quick treat, or a cute gift for someone, this is the place to go to, but if you're a serious chocolate lover or Truffle snob, it's worth the 45 minute drive north to Deadwood and go to Chubby Chipmonk instead. They might have fabulous caramels, or brittle, or other goodies, but not the Truffles.

These pastries are rather bountiful. We selected the cardamon roll, coffee bun, cinnamon roll, morning bun, chocolate croissant, and a slice of banana bread. We got these mostly to go home for future nibbling but had to sample each. I expected the cinnamon roll to be the winner but the coffee bun was by far the most outstanding with its cookie butter filling. The lattes were exceptionally delightful with the right amount of espresso kick and the syrups were not too sweet. The quiche was like a slice of cake! Light, flakey, and delish. My breakfast sandwich was unexpectedly wonderful with a toasted brioche bun, egg, sausage and garlic aioli. Bitesized potatoes made the small plate complete.
