I would like to start by saying that the gentleman working on this busy Saturday (may 20) looked very tired and overworked. BUT they were all very patient and cordial anyway. The management at this location might consider having an extra person on shift during these busy times to do a line sweep or some general maintenance clean up as these poor guys obviously had no time for wiping things down which gave the appearance of uncleanliness even though I know it was just lettuce. Other than that I have no complaints! I have never been to a Bread Zeppelin and I am quite impressed with the size of the salads and that I have finally found a restaurant that serves salad, salad, and more salad! read more

Five stars to the manager at this location! I placed a phone order for a southwest salad in a bowl with NO chicken. I pick it up and there's chicken everywhere in this salad, I've been a vegetarian for about 2 years. I can not eat this salad and I'm extremely hungry! Love this place local chain. This is my goto spot to goto on the way back from traveling and from the airport. I stopped here coming back from Salt lake city and didn't have time to make a home-made meal. This place always hits the spot. Newly opened, as well as a lot of the spots here. It's right off the highway and convenient. It is on the side heading north (technically headingnorth east) of 121. My favorite sandwich here is plymouth rock. People hear "salad" and think "lettuce, tomato and cucumber - it's the stuff you munch on before your real meal" but that is not what this is. This IS a meal - a substantial meal. And while at its core it's a healthy option, beware because you can do some serious damage with options like fried toppings and the avocado ranch dressing. I always get a salad; usually to-go. I've never had the same thing twice because there's so much to choose from and so many dressing choices. I feel like BZ offers more topping choices than some of their competitors. Portions are generous, service is friendly and fast and you can usually get in and out pretty quickly even at the peak of lunch hour. Sometimes seating is a challenge but people don't tend to linger long after their meals so while waiting to order, just scan the dining area to see who's finishing up so you know where to pounce. If you dine in you get to eat your salad from a big silver bowl, if you get a to-go order you get a large plastic container which I prefer because then I don't have to worry about finding a place to sit and I can save the remainder of salad since I can usually only eat half. Suggestion for first-timers is check out their menu online so you get an idea of what they have so you aren't so overwhelmed by the menu when you walk in. read more

What a great and healthy option for people looking for something unique! Fresh ingredients and clean interior of the restaurant no mess anywhere. Two options make a salad in a bowl or a Zeppelin (basically a salad calzone). Service is A+ the gentleman who made our sandwiches was very personable and made conversation with us the entire time. One of the best chicken Caesar sandwiches I've had in a while and very filling. Ask for the bread that was taken out for a bit more food. Price is perfect about $16 for two (water cups). I would recommend this place to anyone who likes salads it has everything you need. The only thing I would say to fix is ask the customer if they want the bread toasted. While I was there nobody asked and the servers just assumed people like their bread toasted and some don't (my girlfriend) but other than that perfection. I will definitely be back. read more

Well this was a one and done for me! Employees are clueless, I had to be rung up 3 times. They don't ask questions like "would you like a drink?" I asked if they got my daughters order and they said yes. They hadn't. I asked if he could run the steak through the oven to heat it up and he replied no I can't. Why not? There's an oven? First, let me say that the 3 star rating is not reflective of the staff or the cleanliness of the building. The staff were friendly and the building was clean. However, I'm just not impressed with this sandwich concept. They stuff your salad into a hot roll. I love salad, I love hot rolls. I HATE them stuffed together. The hot roll makes the lettuce get soggy and limp. Am I seriously the only person who is bothered by limp, soggy, warm lettuce??? The ingredients themselves (separated out) are good quality, it is just the togetherness that makes it unappealing. Lastly, way overpriced for the what you are getting. I think the food was alright, however my experience was ruined by the poor customer service (rude and looked disgusted to be there) from some of the staff working. Also, if you're going to require customers to wear their masks properly, staff should be required to wear their masks above their noses at all times while touching customers food! I love this place but their staff was so incredibly rude. The guy with the dressings made faces when I made my selection and shook his head as he was mixing everything. I picked olive oil... it wasn't something crazy or gross but his expressions were so judgmental and dramatic. My jury is still out on Bread Zeppelin... Had a bowl with romaine, while onions, garbanzos, chicken, hard-boiled eggs, and thousand island dressing. Salad verdict: pretty good!! I like the way they chop the hell out of all their salads; it prevents the ever-dreaded "big piece o' romaine slapping you in the chin!" The cup of tomato basil bisque however? Extremely bland. Disappointingly bland. In fact, the folks I dined with commented that their bread bowls were bland as well. However, there's a Health Department sign on the wall and when you scan the QR code, the place got a grade C (so I'm taking off 1 Yelp star). It's a little expensive but it's fresh and good for something different. We both got the Southwest Chicken Zeppelin. I've also had their bowl before, which is a good sized salad! The Zeppelin was also good, but my bread had split on the bottom, which was a blessing in disguise, as I ended up eating it opened face. When trying to bite into the whole thing, the crunchy exterior was a little much. That being said, the bread is good, but just a bit hard to eat for me. They also had a little extra salad in the bowl that didn't fit in the bread and they just threw it away! I wish they had little cups to put the rest in for you to have on the side. Seems like a waste. My sandwich probably could have fit that extra bit because I was able to push down the filling a bit more when I got home. read more

I got a Washington state bowl, 95% lettuce and barely any toppings. I asked for chicken tenders and got grilled chicken instead. I'm not a sandwich eater because i try to live a low carb lifestyle but when i want to break the diet up one of my go to splurges has always been Bread Zeppelin! However, we went yesterday and they have changed the bread recipe. To my disappointment it won't be on my top cheat meal anymore. The salads are good and i can order that but won't be able to look forward to the sandwich splurge unless they take it back to the original recipe. read more

**PLEASE READ!** Dear Owner/Manager, this was my 3rd visit to Bread Zeppelin and I will NOT return to this location. There was a "B" rating on the window when we arrived, but I disregarded it because we love the food so much and figured you got a tough health inspector. The truth is the health inspector gave you a break. The restaurant was extremely dirty; everything from the trash cans overflowing, to food on the floor and tables not wiped down. Worst of all, the order counters where the food is prepared had dirt and dust in the corners, the glass had Old food and fingerprints, and the actual containers where the vegetables were sitting had soggy crumbs (the veggies sit on ice) laying around it. I actually saw one guy wipe the space between the food containers with a dirty rag and the crumbs got dumped into other random food containers. If you disregard the fact that the place was not clean, you would at least look for good customer service - every single one of the people working on the line including the cashier, looked like they were high on drugs, or just incredibly anti-social and rude... you pick. Very little eye contact, no smiling, didn't look at me when they were asking questions, and they were talking so quietly I had to ask one guy to repeat himself three times. So, as if it wasn't enough to have unsanitary food conditions and poor customer service, the soda machine was broken and they had no forks for the salads. We really enjoyed going to this restaurant in the past however this experience was enough for me to say that I will never come back here, and I would discourage others to come until management gets their act together and cleans this place up. They don't deserve my business, and your line-crew should throw their tip-jar in the trashcan because they definitely don't deserve that either. Against my better judgment we decided to just go through the line and eat our food because like I said we really enjoyed the food in the past. That was a mistake, my salad was so unbelievably bland that I did not even finish it. I really have to say this was the biggest waste of $20 on two salads that I've spent in a long long time. For those of you who have taken the time to read this review you would be foolish to go in there and purchase food. Had never heard of Bread Zeppelin before, but it was next-door to our hotel. We were in town for a late afternoon funeral and decided to stay for some furniture shopping at NFM. Since we couldn't go out, we had ordered a Domino's pizza that never arrived, so we rushed over to BZ 10 minutes before closing. The staff were clearly NOT happy to see us. I apologized to two different people behind the counter and explained why we walked in 10 minutes before closing. The first never looked at me and had no response. The second mumbled something I couldn't understand and also never looked at me. Hubby was asked to pay before food was ready. He gave a nice tip. Still no reaction. Meanwhile, the young guy doing the chopping had a head full of shaggy hair but no hair net, though he has to lean over the food while he chops, with his head shaking the entire time. We both got the Atlantis zeppelin so as not to spend time perusing the menu. They were very good, though a bit over-priced. Seems wasteful to just throw away the middle of the bread. Overall, I would try BZ again in the future, just not the one in The Colony. I would like to try some of the other combinations, and I like chopped salads. read more

When I feel like "eating healthy" on my lunch, BZ comes to mind. Ingredients are fresh. The bread is crunchy on the outside. The dressings are plentiful.. I like the layout of this location and you get a beautiful view of the dumpsters in the parking lot. Unlike this green receptacles, this place was very clean. Hardly a crumb was find. Friends and I meet there frequently. They prepare your salad right in front of you. You can have it any way you like. If you want the prepared salad stuffed in a big bread stick they will or for a little more they will serve the salad in a bowl. It's extremely busy from 11:45 to 1:30. You can stand in line up to 15 minutes. The area is very busy at lunch and dinner so waiting isn't unusual. It's great to have a salad made to your specifications and you know it's really fresh.
