Stopped by here today for a coffee with a friend and have to say I quite liked it. The latte I ordered was very good (made with Happy Goat Coffee) and my friend enjoyed his Americano. In terms of taste, it is more in line with Bridgehead than Starbucks or Second Cup. I also tried out some of there sweets with a cinnamon bun/pastry and a chocolate type croissant. The cinnamon pastry was nice though a little heavy on the cinnamon. I also picked up as loaf of their sourdough bread (nice and hot and smells great... hopefully it tastes good as well). They have a very small menu of sandwiches which I didn't try, plus of course their breads (mainly sourdough breads), their sweets (pastries and cookies) and coffees and teas. It is a small shop with one table, a couple of chairs, and a few seats at the coffee bar. Prices seem reasonable to me with the bread about $4 per loaf. Parking is available on the street. Anyhow, I quite liked what I had and I would go back again if the bread is good.

A wonderful bakery that a limited selection of different loaves of bread and pastries. If you are looking to learn how to make bread they also offer classes.

French Toast!

This is my first time visitng this little bakery and I'm enamored. Walked in with 15 minutes until close and they let me order and eat in with no worries. Super chill atmosphere with local coffee and goods for take home. I had a drink which I can only describe as heaven. They called it French Toast--a steamed milk with maple syrup and nutmeg. Delish. Rounded that off with a sandwich made with bakery fresh bread and brie. I'll be coming back.

cinnamon snail,finally.

In a neighborhood with multiple excellent bakeries, this place is hands down the best.

I'm new to the area, but this has quickly become my favourite bakery. All the bread is delicious but I'm especially fond of the focaccia.

The best bread and pastries in this neighborhood hands down, maybe In the city. Get a jam bun.

The Long Version: This Tim Hortons location opened up in early 2025 where the Nu Grocery store used to be. It opened not long after the Westboro location and they both have the same look and feel. This Hintonburg location has more seating but it is still relatively small. There are 4 tables of 2 and a table of 4. I have mixed feelings about having a Tim Hortons in Hintonburg for the same reasons as I do about having a Tim Hortons in Westboro. These are neighbourhoods that used to have mostly unique independently-owned shops, so the moving in of a large multinational changes the landscape. However, I do welcome a quick and relatively inexpensive place to grab a snack or drink. The place is brightly lit and clean. Staff were pleasant. There was a decent selection of baked goods. I got a large Pistachio Latte ($4.99). It's a latte with pistachio syrup, whipped cream and white chocolate curls on top. I got it with oat milk (the other options were 2% milk or almond milk. They didn't have skim milk). It was a bit sweet for my tastes, but still enjoyable. Street parking only. Review #108 (2025)

I really liked the variety of coffees they offered, as well as the wide variety of interesting and enticing food. They were very accommodating in cutting the wrap I ordered in half (saved half for lunch the next day; it was quite large and chalk full of tasty ingredients!) They heated half to eat in the restaurant, and packaged the other half for me to take home. I also ordered a "Cortado" which is like a mini latte (I had never heard of it before). It was tasty but strong - would have been good for first thing in the morning to get your day started. Hubby ordered a strong regular coffee and a different wrap. He seemed to enjoy it. Together, these 4 items came to about $25.00 - not cheap. But I appreciate the fact that this coffee shop that sells Organic, Fair trade coffee also offers fresh food and sandwiches on beautifully baked bread made especially for the stores. And they offer a rewards program as well, which I signed up for. I really wish there was a Bridgehead in the "true west end" of Ottawa!

Not well maintained, verging on grimy. It may seem like a strange complaint, but I plan stops on trips based on where the good bathrooms are. :-) If you can't keep the bathroom clean, what else is not being kept clean? Bathrooms are like people's eyes. You look and you see their soul. 'Nuf said. Would I return: Yes. It's Bridgehead. Would I recommend: Not if you need to use the washroom. ;-)
