If you're a fan of thick, French hot chocolate ala Jacques Torres or Angelina's, look no further!…read more I was craving the thick, rich hot chocolate, so I Googled "best hot chocolate in Westchester." I came across a Westchester magazine article of the "Top 8 Hot Chocolates in Westchester." Only one hot cocoa on the list really sounded like what I was after, and that was Cocoa in Larchmont. Today, I finally had a chance to visit Larchmont, and I was not disappointed! The cocoa is thick and rich. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and even gave me a free piece of dark chocolate bark to go with the cocoa. The inside is small and very pink. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about this place.

I stopped by after all of the holiday bustle, so I missed some or their seasonal treats, but I can't wait to go back to see what they will have out for Valentine's Day. It is now St Patrick's day and I still have not received my purchase. I was charged for my order on Feb 10. It is listed as "pending fulfillment" on the website. I have called the business numerous times but the phone ordinarily rings 3 times and then goes dead. I did reach someone once who said he checked with the manager and I would receive my order within the week. That was 3 or 4 weeks ago. I have also sent several emails which have been ignored. If you go to the "terms and conditions" on the Lovingly Chocolate website it is a bunch of nonsense text written in Latin. At this point, I'm not even sure that this business is real. I would warn potential customers to not do attempt to do business with them as it is very possibly a scam or, at best, is a company with absolutely no need for customer satisfaction and no customer service.

Since I was off from work this week but not traveling, I wanted to take advantage of my time by hitting up some local spots I had sitting in my bookmarks. Hence, I made Seth's a priority on my list. Located on one of the main commercial strips in Larchmont village, Seth's is not a large space but the white color scheme cast against the neatly packaged baked goods make the bakery seem nice and open. When I arrived they had most of their offerings on display: brownies, two loaf varieties (the aforementioned crumb cake and sticky bun), as well as some cookies. I picked up a few items, notably three of their brownie varieties and the sticky bun loaf. The brownies were great - he had four flavors, and since I could get 3 for $18, I got the fudge, toasted almond, and "hot chocolate" which had red pepper flakes. I really liked the consistency of the brownies - they were fudgey while also maintaining their consistency while eating. I thought the sticky bun loaf was great - think of it as thee buns baked together and topped with nuts and all that syrup goodness. I also tried the famous crumb cake which I was surprised to see was not like a traditional crumb. The cake portion was more like a cinnamon roll (in that it broke away) and the crumb top was not overly sweet. It was familiar yet unique - I thought it was a great alternative to the monotony of traditional crumb cake. Seth is super friendly and welcoming, and overall I had a great experience trying out his baked goods. I look forward to my next visit!

I ordered the Maestro and Pistachio to go and they exceeded the wait time provided via phone. I arrived on time and I see it's a full house outside and empty inside. I awkwardly waited inside and it was unclear who to ask besides the waitors outside that looked busy tending to the tables. The dough tasted like when my dough wasn't what I wanted it to be. The flavor was okay. Both pies were nothing special or memorable to justify the price I paid. Again, price is not a concern for me when it's justified by the taste. Luckily Burrata was about 15 mins away so we headed there shortly after and grabbed a Burrata pie that satisfied our neapolitan pie craving. We appreciate dough even more now after years of dough trials for our dome. Overall, overrated.

It included mandarins, kiwi, goat cheese, almonds, and arugula. It was a large portion size and crisp and refreshing. We also had the spinach artichoke dip, which was rich and tasted very fresh. For my main, I had the penne. I loved the tomato cream sauce. I also got a side of onion rings. They were shoestring style, which I wasn't expecting, but they were piping hot and very tasty. My husband enjoyed his steak, but one should note that the dish is literally just steak, so you need to order sides separately if you want any accompaniments. For dessert, we had the lemon tart. It was lovely, especially with the accompanying berries. Our waiter was excellent. The only negative was that I asked for a special dessert and candle for my husband's birthday and they completely forgot. I even called earlier in the day to confirm they would be able to do it.
