She served us snacks and refilled our drinks, and narrated the sights for us as we cruised! They are both knowledgeable about the area and were wonderful tour guides through Annapolis and the Chesapeake. We will book a longer cruise next time. In my research, it's hard to find a boat that is NOT a fishing boat in the area. (Fishing boats are great, but are usually not for lounging and not that pretty.) I have been on…read morechartered fishing trips in the past, and often times the captain is unapproachable and the mate is focused more on how many fish are caught than how much the party is enjoying themselves. This was far from the case with Capt. Brian and his mate. They explained everything to us, including the type of bait used, how to cast, how to hook the fish, and how to ensure a successful catch. They both offered pointers to our party members who had never been fishing before, and provided tips on how to land the big one (including a 31" and 33" rockfish). They never took over, as they wanted us to have the experience (and fun), rather demonstrated and let us do all of the work. We were able to bring whatever food and drink we chose, including glass (a huge plus), and I even got to learn first-hand how to fillet our catch. We are already booking our next trip for later in the summer when the water warms up and we can try to catch more species of fish. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a great day on the water and experience memories that will last a lifetime.
