These are fixed, not floating piers, but tides are minimal. The pier head where we stayed (dock E) and the adjacent fuel pier head can be exposed to wind and some waves if coming from the southeast, but the waves are knocked down a bit by flats. The docks are in good repair, and the grounds are immaculate. We took advantage of the free-access propane grills up on shore for a nice picnic. There's a West Marine just a short walk away. The marina has a pool, poolside bar, ice makers, laundry, and more. Their pump-out is also free. Docking here was slightly pricy, but well worth it at a location central to the Chesapeake between two 8-hour sails, and not at all out of line for the area and quality of facilities.

Herrington Harbour North Marina is a site to behold. This entire location is kept pristine. The…read moregrounds are well kept and the main building is immaculate. The restrooms are not only clean and well stocked, but they also have showers. Every inch of the docks are impeccable and every vessel, you could see, are well maintained. The reason for this visit was to assist with returning a family member's 47 foot sailboat back up to the Jersey shore. I cannot commend Herrington Harbour North enough on their professionalism and attention to detail with every aspect of this location. The customers of this harbour are privileged, well supported, and I'm certain....appreciative.

The weather was extremely hot, but the water was really calm so we mostly laid out. I did get motion sickness for about half of the trip so I would advise students to take Dramamine before the go. Our instructor Jeff was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of our questions and had great tips and fun stories. Our day of sailing was fairly brief and he allowed us to do various task like steering the wheel, raising the sails, etc.. Its a good experience for beginners but might be a little boring for the advance.

However, do not call on this marina's…read moreservices the problem is not that they are good at anything but are bad at everything from my experience - They do not understand Webasto heaters and say that units are unusually design - They do not understand how to install Max props and in particular are confused with pitch value and the difference between left and right handed props. - They do not know how to change a hose on a manual bilge pump. - They do not know how to properly install sanitary hoses in a reasonable time. - They do not know how to install seacocks - They very seldom call back or answer emails - They make appointments and forget clients are coming. - They invoice for replacement parts they themselves have lost and invoice time taken to replace said parts. - All of this is experienced with last service manager - New service manager does not get confused with facts and bases his invoice without paying any attention to actual work completed successfully.

It astounds me that these people are still in business. By all means park your boat at Hartge Yacht Harbour but if you need any work done to your boat look elsewhere. This should be pretty easy advice to follow as they never return phone calls, respond to emails and you will never get a written quote out of them.

We also caught over 100 perch. The boat is nice size. The boat holds up to 24 people. I never have more than 12 that way it's comfortable. It's very clean. Stu uses high quality rods and reels. His mate Joe is very attentive and patient. He spent some time with ones that have never fished before showing them what to do. Joe also cleaned the Rock Fish for free. Very nice

Recently we decided to get a new boat. Not new as in right off the showroom floor (do boat dealers have show rooms?) but a new boat for us. That meant we have were about to have the three greatest days a boat owner can have. Selling our boat, buying a new boat and of course, getting to ride around in a boat on the water. 1. The team at Clark's landing is awesome. Their sales location is in the middle of no where, but the facility is very nice. 2. They have a number of new (and brokerage) boats available. The most important thing when buying a boat is an honest broker. Clark's landing is honest, and were extremely nice to boot! We were dealing with Frederick Beu, he is exceptional! Now we can't wait for spring to get our new boat out into the Bay!!!!!

We recently did a 2-hour Tiki cruise for my mom's birthday, and had such a great time! The boat…read moredeparts from a bar/restaurant on the water so there's plenty of parking and you can grab a drink or a bite (and use the bathrooms--there's none on the boat) before or after. The boat itself is literally a round, floating tiki bar on the water. It holds up to 6 people plus the captain. You can bring your own drinks (recommend taking a page out of our book and bringing a pitcher of pre-made painkillers with you for the ride!) and snacks, and they provide water and drinking ice. You can also connect to bluetooth speakers to play your own music. Our captain was great, he chatted with us throughout the ride, pointing out wildlife and sharing little tidbits about the landmarks and history of the area as we cruised around. As you'd expect this thing doesn't move very quickly, but it made for a really relaxing ride with plenty of time to check out the views, enjoy a few drinks, and gawk at all the houses and boats along the shore. We went around 6:30pm and it was perfect for beating the heat and catching some sunset. Would totally do this again for a special occasion or with out of town visitors!

Scotty has saved me so much money with his advice and know-how on the mechanical and up-keep items for boats. The new owners have made significant investments to update the infrastructure. This is not a "yacht club" or country club marina, if you want that go to Herrington South. We like it just the way it is!!
