We got it to his shop later, It was difficult to diagnose the actual problem. He kept me informed on the situation as it unfolded and was honest with me up front. The boat was finished in 1.5 weeks, parts delivery took a few days twice. Before he released the boat he kept it an extra day just to make sure the job was done right, he wanted to shut all the systems down and start fresh in the morning and do another test drive. I really appreciate his attention to detail. And his honesty he estimated a price range for the repair He said 3000.00 to 5000.00. it came in at $3042.00!! he could have padded it but he didn't. All of his mechanics were friendly and helpful when I called or stopped in. Thanks Dave and Crew I highly recommend Premier Marine and would definitely use them again

Oh, where to start…read more.. Two "repairs" on a new boat under warranty. First time, they supposedly replaced a part. However, didn't look like they had done anything. Surprisingly, problem wasn't fixed. Second "repair" went kind of like the first. Claimed to have replaced some more parts. Problem still wasn't resolved. They didn't seem to know what they were talking about regarding either the source of the problem or what they had done. Months later, I spoke with Mercury. Turned out AM PM never made a claim to be reimbursed for their work. That about says it all. Around the same time as they started "repairs" on the new boat, I asked them to pull the head on an old boat. There was a little water that had just started getting into one cylinder. Good chance it was nothing more serious than the head gasket. They took the boat in to their shop. Never heard back from them. Called a few months later to ask what the heck was going on. They said they hadn't even looked at the boat since they had taken it in. By that point, the engine was probably seized up from the water in the engine. OMG. Are these people idiots? Long story short, steer clear of these guys.

Based upon telephone discussions we narrowed it down to 4 suitable prospects. Following personal visits to each work site we selected Tom Gunther to do this work. He offered the best price, warrantee and track record. The boat was a 42' Chris Craft Catalina double cabin with twin big block GM gas engines. He provided us with a bulkhead slip and he had the equipment to lift the engines out right from the slip. In addition to the engine replacement he also arranged for the rebuilding/replacement of all bolt on accessories. All belts and hoses were replaced and most of the exhaust system as well. We were very happy with the work and the responsive interaction during the job. I am Ron Brown RDB1033@gmail.com

When we returned to the Chesapeake in the Spring, they were able to add a few extra snaps and straps to areas that we found could make it easier to handle lines and winches. Not a problem. Bonnie was super helpful when I called to inquire about trying this out, recommending a time slot with no other appointments so there would be less distractions. The staff who met us there were super friendly and very good with my nervous guy. They had him wagging his tail happily within a minute! They were super calm and helpful with getting us into a kayak and then we were off! We paddled for about half an hr for this first time, and then the staff helped us back off of the water. The place is set up really well for nervous dogs. It's a quiet dock in the back of the marina, and you can just pull up and park on the gravel and walk down to the launch, so there's no need to coax your dog inside any unknown buildings. The marina is beautiful and I can't wait to go back and explore more. They do have a little shop as well where we finished our outing with a pup ice cream for my brave guy! We had a great time and we can't wait to go back!
