Went in today & i haven't been here in years before catching a movie and the older guy was in the back, i rang the bell thats there i assume its for that so he came out after a while just to ask if we need any help. Instead of a friendly hello hi how are you doing a warm welcome to what can i get you started or something along those lines. We ordered our food as he proceeded to blow his nose and not go wash his hands at that moment my company was disgusted i proceeded to pay i didn't not get a enjoy the food or a thank you, we sat down to what looked like the cleanest table compared to them all the shakers of parm and garlic were empty before i could go ask for some he sat down in the dining area to eat his lunch so i didn't want to bother him, my company did not finished their food and i only ate one of the two pizza, we left and took our tray to the trash and the dirty tray pile was full with a bunch of cups from other guest all piled up in that section, we left with no good byes from both sides so we will not be ever ever ever coming back to this place again and i hope this review serves it just to everyone wanting to check this place out read more

After dinner I was craving a large pie so I decided to give Bravos a try. I ordered a large sausage (who doesn't like a large sausage ;) to go. The inside looked clean. It was a Monday night at dinner time and only one other party was there. Atmosphere looked average, I wouldn't go there to hang out or watch a table tennis match on the big screens or anything. Service was fine. The pie looked pretty average when I first set eyes on the beast. The undercarriage was cooked fine, not crispy, but also not overcooked. The pizza passed the flaccid test (when you hold the slice by the crust and it doesn't flop over), which actually surprised me and got me excited to eat it. The pizza was extremely bland. It wasn't awful, but it had no flavor. I can't say something tastes bad if it barely tastes. I don't know if they use cheap ingredients or need a new sauce recipe or what, but it had zero flavor. A few reviews mentioned this is the best pizza in Sarasota, while those people are officially morons, and I can say that cause I have an associates degree from a community college and I took a psychology class. If I could give 2.5 stars I would, but that's not an option. Fresh mozzarella right around the corner on ringling and lime is still the best pie I've had in Sarasota. read more

Walked in the store and the elderly man was in the back. Eventually he noticed us and walked over. My sister order her food and the man mumbled a question. My sister asked "what?" And the man yelled and repeated the question. After me and my friend ordered and we noticed he overcharged us by 10 dollars. We decided to let it go. My friend got a garlic bread bun but she never received it so we go to the man and ask about it and he claims that we never paid for it even though we overpaid. Average pizza slice in a below average place. Was in the area and decided to come here, being I was in the mood for pizza. The place looked clean and spacious, so why not. The guy behind the counter seemed to lack a pulse. He was blah - come to think of it, much like the food actually. I was a little hungrier, so I ordered lasagna and a garlic knot (only 1, though it was large - almost like a half a roll) with the slice. Someone else ordered the spaghetti with meatballS, but all this cheap place could muster was just one lone meatball. The spread of the different pizza slices was a red flag - it looked like the pizza was sitting out for a while, along with the pasta, but the stomach was mightier than the brain here. In all fairness, the slice wasn't bad. It was average - I've certainly had better and I've actually had worse. Not all pizza is created equal at all. I respect people's opinions and different taste buds, but I feel sorry for those who think this pizza is the "best". They either don't go to any other pizzeria or just don't know better. But again, the plain slice was average. Other slices with toppings sitting there didn't look appetizing enough to try. The lasagna - it was almost like it was a frozen one they bought from the supermarket and microwaved it before putting out. It certainly tasted like it. I could've saved some money and just did the same. The lone meatball was apparently good, but the spaghetti was average with watery sauce. The one garlic knot sure could've used some garlic. I ordered a Coke - the plastic holder was still around the bottle. I mean there's lazy, there's inept, there's cheap, and there's incompetent - but I can't tell which one this place is.......if not ALL of the aforementioned. Drink selection is weak, but there's some options. Clearly they get some of their stock from the supermarket (hence my Coke bottle picture) and then overcharge - come to think of it, that's probably where the crappy lasagna came from (the frozen dinner aisle). The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the slice was average (again, ONLY average) and it was spacious with clean tables. Parking is street or municipal lots. I do feel sorry for people who unsuspectingly come here. Even more so who think this is how an actual pizzeria is. Yes, I'm from NY - but other states have better overall quality than this place. There's a movie theater next door, so they probably luck out more than earn their business. In an area that has a lot of eating options, this place stands out - and not in a good way. If in the area again, I won't be back for this overpriced garbage. If I'm desperate, I'll just starve until I find something better......which when compared to this place, shouldn't be that difficult. read more

A good thin crust pizza They offer very large slices with a thin and slightly crunchy bottom crust. Tonight I got two slices, a pepperoni and a ham & pineapple. At $8.99 they are a little expensive but you are getting enough pizza for 4 slices. And they are very good. Bravo's displays several pizza choices if you want a slice heated up or you can get a whole pizza. Bravois also much more than just pizza. I've only just gotten the pizza and I have never been disappointed. Located next to the Hollywood 20 theater, it did get busy. I relaxed at a small table as I enjoyed my meal. Decent but won't rock your world. I've gotten some decent pizza and strombolii here. It is set up kind of a cafeteria style where you line up like cattle and order. If it is in the steam table they dish it up right away to you. Things like pizza and other items that need to be baked get popped in the oven. I've never ordered anything in the steam table, kind of scary. But in a rush, the slices of pizza are ok but the stromboli are greasy goodness and a nice dough. Typically a good place to grab a decent quick lunch or something before a movie at Hollywood 20 next door. As a Family, we have a Saturday walk routine to downtown Sarasota, around the courthouse area. We tried many places to eat -- fast eats (we have two toddlers). We decided to try Bravo's because...well it smelled amazing walking by. The Employee -- probably owner-- was a man of few words but great food. We tried the supposed upper class "Mozzarella Fella" and were so disappointed after three attempts. After that disappointment, we stopped at Bravo's instead. BEST - IDEA - EVER. The owner/manager (I really need to get his name). Our first stop there he was very NY and just get to the point. The pizza was awesome. We got two plain -- explained it was for our 4 year old son -- just warm was enough; he got it. My hubby got the Chicken Parm sandwich meal. He was so in love with that sandwich he did not speak for 30 minutes; thank you for giving a tired wife a moment of peace. The slices are generous, the hot food/sandwich is good and he makes a great salad. First visit, he was at arm's length, now knowing us he has a great sense of humor and multitasks like a pro. At this point, he makes amazing Italian dishes. I asked for the White Pizza and Greek Salad, Toddlers got Plain Chesse slices, that are generous. Someone who lives here recommended it, and he's always looking out for a good deal. I had a salad, which was fine and the chicken parmigiana. There was lots of spaghetti, which was OK, and little chicken. I hadn't eaten much during the day and was still hungry. I ordered a slice of Sicilian pizza, which was tasteless. The place is roomy, clean, the service is quick and the woman running it was nice. These positive factors nearly made it three stars, but the food was so forgettable that I need to make it two. Came in for coffee, as we were ordering we witnessed a disturbing situation; Doorstep Delivery guy told them the people ordered half pepperoni/half cheese but he opened the box to all pepperoni. They take the box and IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS, pick off the pepperoni!!!!!! The woman helping had just been washing the tables! The man/cook/whatever grabbed the plate of pepperoni, ate one and then threw them back in the prep table!!!!!!!!! Hot pepperoni into a cold prep table... Well, having moved here from NY in Jan, I was delighted to find this pizza. It is a pain to park, as it is in downtown, but sometimes I needed to do just that. I continue to be grossed out when I never see anyone washing their hands. moving thoughtlessly from the cash register to the pizza ovens clear across the restaurant. ( sometimes they have a cashier, more often in my experience, not one night the guy was repairing the pizza oven. YUCK then serving pizza then taking money Where I come from, no one would eat here. and friendly? NO. TODAY the pizza tasted..... WATERY. It looked the same, but the cheese had no chewey consistency that had brought me back. the whole slice ($ 3.50) left me unsatisfied. the cheese that is on the tables for sprinkling had no flavor, I realize it should be parmesan ... ? the pepper wouldn't come out of the shakers.. basically the place feels unmaintained. it makes me wonder what I can't see. . Now, my daughter can handle herself and usually has not problem putting a stop to it, but this guy just kept it up and got rude when he realized he wasn't going to get anywhere. Newsflash: Sarasota. There is no shortage of pizza at this pizza joint. That being said, with so many options to salivate over, it's hard to keep track of what's out there. I had the spinach Stromboli and it was well cooked and very delicious. This it's called BRAVO Pizza it is Tucked in the middle of two other establishments and you'll find the entrance of Bravo. It's on Main Street in Sarasota and if you are driving to fast you may pass it. It's indoor and patio-style seating it smells like a doughy crust baking when you walk in. While it might seem easy to cruise to the drive-thru or any other pizza shop, It is the quality of ingredients that I hope it catches on. I hope you really like it. read more
