This store will fit the bill. If you have a basic need, this Ctown can fulfill that need…read more But be prepared for cramped aisle ways, high prices, and a more limited selection (fewer choices for brands). You'll find many items without any price tag (and no label on the shelf). The signs can also be tricky- something may be on sale, but the dates shown have since past. I've also seen signs give a specific sale, but then they will have small print saying the price is only valid if you buy ten (or a large number) of that exact item or spend $50 on your shopping trip. Both of those will leave you hanging at the register when you're pulling out your wallet realizing you owe more than expected. So, yes, overall, this place will help out in a pinch or for some basics. Plus the B38 drops off really close by- how can you say no to that?! But, when it comes to doing a full-on shopping trip, elsewhere is probably more wallet friendly.

Not masks on their chins or under their noses... just zero attempt to even wear a mask by all four. And I was only in the store for less than five minutes while I procured *two* items. I can only imagine how many dozens of people go in there without masks on each day! When I got to the register I asked the person working there if they were no longer enforcing a mask policy in their store. They didn't even say anything to me, they just shrugged and scanned my items. The cashier that rang up two of the anti-maskers didn't say anything to them about it. On my way out, I told one of them they should be wearing a mask, after which they followed me out and shouted some homophobic slurs at me while threatening to spit in my face. So yeah, I wish I could give this place -5 stars but 1 will have to do. They should really be reported to the health department and shut down until they can guarantee the health and safety of their customers. Needless to say, I will never shop here again and I advise anyone to avoid doing so as well.

I've been popping into this deli, since I moved to the neighborhood 10 years ago for snacks,…read moredrinks, lamb over rice. I fully expected them to follow social distancing protocol with MASK and everything when they opened to protect their customers. They have not! Neither the employees nor most of the customers that come in wear mask. The customers still don't respect the personal space of other customers even when the store is practically empty. BEFORE COVID19 One young man who worked there rudely reached over me as if I was invisible, while I was at the counter trying to pay for my food. When I pointed out how disrespectful he was he gave me sh*t. Older man behind the counter said nothing to him about his attitude toward a customer. After I got my purchase and stood at corner waiting on the light to change the same light skinned black boy yelled profanities out the door at me. I guess he doesn't know there a deli on every f**king corner HIS customers can go to. I have no intentions of ever going back!

I remember so hyped when I first saw this supermarket opened in my neighborhood. I was like now I…read moredon't need to stick to Food Bazaar. When I went inside, I immediately was disappointed. I thought it would be hipster and trendy inside. I did not realize the interior decor would look like one of those supermarkets like Bravo or Associated with bright white lights and narrow and tight aisles. The supermarket outside looked hipster and trendy. Also I got a problem with the gate outside of the supermarket. I got a baby stroller and several times I tried to go inside with the stroller and the gate entrance was just too tight. Also my shopping cart couldn't even fit! I did not realize that they did not know how measure the gate entrance before constructing it. I wish they renovate it or fix that problem soon because I cannot go inside. One thing I like about this supermarket is the charcoal water they got. I needed charcoal water immediately one day and they had it by the entrance. I immediately bought it and chugged it. It was somewhat pricey and I knew it was pricey because nobody touched that stuff. There were too many bottles in stock. I wonder how they make money when all the items are mostly in stock in each aisle. Luckily I check the expiration date to make sure they not expired. Also there aren't any self checkout kiosks. Hopefully they can expand on that. Also especially the gate entrance needs to have a bigger space for strollers. I would be happy if they got that fixed soon.

I'd love to be able to give a local, non-chain grocery store a good review, but frankly, this place…read moreis the worst. I actively avoid shopping here as much as possible because every time I go in I have the most unpleasant experience with the staff - especially the person who appears to be the manager. Today was the final straw for me as I JUST purchased a wedge of cheese from the store yesterday, only to notice when I arrived back home that it was full of mold and the packaging had been compromised. I wasn't able to go right back so when I returned today asking to exchange it for a not moldy piece I was lectured on the fact that they are not responsible for any merchandise once it has left the store but if I had a receipt it would be a different story. I never carry a receipt out of the store, and had even put my phone number in for the transaction. He said the phone number wouldn't do any good to look things up and was extremely rude. DO NOT SHOP HERE !!!!

The main guy who ran the spot and answered the phone, taking orders and handling coffee to go, got so used to my regular order on the regular, i'd start to place my order and knew it was me and what my order was to be! It's your typical NYC bodega. The ingredients are pretty fresh and they don't completely kill you with oil here so that's always a plus. The staff is also pretty inviting to all the neighborhood characters who stop in so it creates a pleasant dynamic. BedStuy is just good vibes I suppose.
