Being my first time here and having absolutely no clue about this place I was totally stoked by the wonderful experience that was my haircut from Georgie . I came across this place on line and it was listed as a top ten barber shop in North County so I made an appointment on their web site and received an instant confirmation and later a reminder , super easy . The place has a great vibe , bright and clean and a delicious earthy scent of clove and citrus fills the air . After an initial discussion with Georgie he articulated the cut I was looking for and offered some options that might work better for the shape of my head which I appreciated . He surprised me by trimming my eyebrows and then shaving my neck with a warm lotion and razor , followed by a shampoo and scalp massage ... I started to drift off into a hazy lazy nap mode and by the time I was done had a killer cut and was feeling groovy . A great value for the price , will be back for sure ! read more

Bradley did a great job on my son's hair. He took his time, listened to what my son described, then made it happen. He used both scissors and a number of different clippers...it was obvious to me that he is skilled and knows exactly what he's doing. I have been a regular at Bravehold for 2+ years. Cat cuts my hair. I get an executive cut. I was never able to find someone in North County who cuts as precisely as she does. She takes her craft very seriously and takes her time. If you are picky like me you will be very pleased. I have also watched Laura and Georgie do consistently excellent work as well. (I hear Tyler is also very good but he's typically not there on my regular day.) I see lots of young men come in and get smartly styled hair and beards. I would say that precision and style are the hallmark of Bravehold. They also do a great job with kids, making them feel comfortable. Phenomenal staff that work there. I've always followed Georgie my barber everywhere he goes and by far this place is the best location that he's been at. I just visited Cat with a full head of hair and asked for a trim and received a small boys haircut. I explicitly asked for just a trim and she cut off most of my hair completely changing my hairstyle which was not asked for. I will not go here again and am very disappointed in the services. read more

When I walked in the door to get my hair cut today, nothing could have prepared me for what I encountered. She started off the haircut by relaxing me with some essential oils, calming the mind and centering me before an awesome haircut. Not only did she take her time with the shampoo, I'm pretty sure she has the best taste in music ever. Once she started cutting my hair I realized this was no ordinary barber. Lightning bolts flew from her shears and magic filled the air!!! Never before have I been stupefied by such wondrous artistry!!!! Her cuts were sublime!!! Her styling impeccable!!! Faster and faster she went until finally I realized I had been transformed!!! As I left the magical workshop of styling wizardry my footsteps were lighter, music played as I walked and women fainted as they saw my new style!!! Laura is seriously the best barber ever! I've been going to see her for about 6 months and it's become a once a week thing for me. I go to see her on Fridays after work and it's the best thing to have to look forward to every week. I get a straight razor fade which many o' barber has screwed up on me before, but I swear every week my hair looks perfect, lines are straight, no stray, uncut hairs, and the neck massage at the end is fantastic. Laura is so into being a barber, she's constantly looking for the newest tools of the trade, whether it be Japanese straight razors, or the latest and greatest pomade, Laura is on it! I usually hate getting my haircut because I don't have much of it left, nor do I know what would look good on me. I looked on Yelp men's haircuts in my area and found Bravehold Barber Company. All of the reviews looked promising so I thought I'd give it a shot. Well I got an appointment in less than 48 hours. I went in and was greeted by Laura who was very professional. She asked me how I wanted my hair and I told her kind of what I wanted (because I really didn't know) and left the rest up to her. She made my hair look better than it has since I started losing it many years ago. Also the straight razor clean up around my neck was refreshing. She also suggested styling methods that were very helpful. When all was said and done I actually liked getting my haircut, had a good conversation, was pretty relaxed, and will definitely be going back. Who knows maybe I'll get my nose hair waxed next time? read more
