Went in as a walk in, seemed apprehensive to take so I can back later as they requested. Guy chopped me up so quick spending maybe 10 mins on the cut, I was in n out before someone who came before me was even finished. This is easily one of the worst cuts of my life. I couldn't believe I found this gem of a place near my workplace. Provided how busy and hectic the holiday season usually is, I was doubtful that any barbershops around would accept walk-ins. I went to one, only to be told that they're not accepting walk-ins at the moment due to the day being fully booked. I then proceeded to check other barbershops in the area for online booking but all the spots were full or taken. All I can say is that the Proper Cut Barbershop came in clutch. Upon walking in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff offered me drinks and showed me amenities. Although cash only, they even had an ATM machine inside for their clients! This place to me was worth every buck, for its laid-back, respectful atmosphere and friendly barbers. I had Naz, who I'll give a huge shout-out to. He listened attentively to what I wanted for my hair and made me comfortable and relaxed after a long day at work. His emphasis on quality and focus on people was obvious. Didn't get the proper cut I was looking for... Booked an appointment for a haircut based on the positive reviews, but left a little disappointed to say the least. Usually keep my hair short and part it to the side. Requested a high fade with a trim on top, but left with some sort of uneven undercut. Angel cut my hair and as you can see he definitely wasn't the barber from heaven. It's a shame because he did a great job with the clippers on the back and sides, but it seems got a bit lost with the scissors. Really missed the mark with the blending here. As I walked in i was greeted and immediately was handed a cold water. Alexis cut my hair and was a super cool guy to talk too. He give me a proper cut with a clean fade. Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. Signed up to get a cut from Naz on the app. He cancelled my appointment right when it was supposed to occur (after I had parked out front.) He said he thought I wasn't going to show up....huh? He then rescheduled me 30 mins later. Apparently someone walked in and Naz decided to cut his hair instead of keep my appointment. I did end up getting a haircut from Naz, and it was just OK. He missed cleaning up the sides (and left a bunch of long hair right above my ears) which I had to fix when I got home. Also, this may just be a Proper Cut thing, but they don't let you look into the mirror until the cut is done. Kind of strange because what if they are doing something you don't like, and you don't find out until it's too late? I'm sure some of the other barbers here are great, and generally it's a decent vibe, but I'm gonna stick to my regular spots who don't cancel their appointments and actually know how to cut around ears. read more

Came in yesterday around 5pm and when I ask for a taper Tia prefaces the cut with "Do you want a taper or fade because if you don't like the taper I'm going to charge you twice" she then cuts my hair and once I get home I find the taper behind my ears isn't finished and it's uneven.
