This place completely ruined my son's hair, not once, but twice. We specifically requested a burst fade and instead received an awful haircut that looked nothing like what was asked for. This was a $40 child's haircut, which makes it even more unacceptable. We intentionally allowed six weeks of hair growth to achieve the desired cut. If the barber was unfamiliar with or uncomfortable doing a burst fade, that should have been communicated before touching my child's hair. Instead, he went ahead and cut it anyway, and completely ruined it. He was clearly told not to take off any length, only to clean it up and create the burst effect. After my husband expressed frustration, the only response we got was, "Well, it's not long enough." despite the fact that excessive length had just been taken off. read more

Place will dupe you for your money. They give you no choice but to wash your hair even if you request the regular cut, so they can get more money out of you. My husband has been getting cuts from Vickie since before she opened this shop and she is the best of the best! He won't go anywhere else and we won't take our boys anywhere else either. To start, our son, who was 2 at the time, was deathly afraid of haircuts. Would scream and cry in terror to have his head even touched. We had been thrown out of a number of kid's hair salons (and he doesn't have the kind of hair you can just let grow). Miss Vickie is the only soul he will let touch his hair, she uses "just the scissors!!" and is gentle, patient, does a meticulous job, even on a toddler. And, two years ago when he had emergency brain surgery, Vickie was the only one we trusted to give him a cut to minimize the shave marks so he could graduate from his medical residency two weeks later. A true barber! The shop is always immaculate. Victoria and Michael are great at cutting hair, friendly and funny. The hair wash comes with a massage which is fantastic. So, I tried to go to supercuts but they were booked for the day... at which point I went to a different supercuts but they were ALSO booked for the day. So I went to Greatclips but they were booked... then I tried Sportsclips and also booked for the day. Finally I showed up here expecting to be turned away as a walk in -- but they took me almost immediately I had never heard of the place and was a little skeptical about it at first glance but I really needed a haircut so I rolled the dice. Sat down in Michael's chair and he just started cutting away... Usually barbers use the electric trimmers but Michael was all scissors -- he was going to town... literally snipping faster than a Chihuahua on a sugar high. He had a massive gold ring on his finger that glimmered like hummingbirds wings. Half of me felt like I was in a high class European Salon while the other half was at the Indy 500. What the ***** was my hair going to look like??? I gripped the edges of the barber chair in nervous anticipation..... OH BOY Ill cut the fat... Michael gave me THE BEST haircut I've ever had. We walked into the barbershop for my son to get his hair trimmed out of his eyes, the sides and back of hair. Just scissors, no buzz. The owner (as I was told) told us that this not a hair cut and he won't do the service! Cutting hair with scissors is not a haircut?? What?? I asked him how much to cut the hair and he said $40 even though the sign said $28 for kid's cut. I actually would have paid the $40, but he would NOT perform the service! I tried this place four times. The first time was honestly good, and I think that's because Mike listened to what kind of haircut I was looking for. But for the following three times, I was not happy at all, and everytime I just wanted to give it another try. He acted like he didn't want me to talk about the kind of haircut I'd like to have!
