I love braums so i hate making a less than perfect review. But i think everything is fixable! The trash was overflowing and we waited for a very long time. I can tell the employees are working hard to get everyone's order out which is appreciated! They definitely need more staff though because the 3 people I could see were running around trying to do everything. Once the other employee came, it went a lot smoother. the grocery store inside is a cool edition to this place. It is a bit pricey but they have a lot of $1 off coupons. Many people were waiting in the checkout line for a while waiting for someone to help. Overall, the food is good and the icecream is great, they just need some more help! read more

Traveling thru Kansas to Denver and being an Oklahoma girl now living in St. Louis, I was excited to find a Braum's but it quickly turned to disappointment. Drive thru order requested onion pickle mustard only. No onion, no mustard and it was slipped with so much ketchup it oozed out the sides. Requested napkins, salt and ketchup for fries. Received none of this. Guess they thought I could use the ketchup leaking from the burger. Requested a regular Dr. Pepper and a Diet Dr. Pepper. Received two regular. I stopped in here on the way to a college tour for my daughter. Lets just say I hope she decides to attend this school because I will be able to stop in Braum's on the way to see her. I recommend the German Chocolate Shake. this is hands down the best shack around. it is amazing. The burgers and fries are good but I would not put them at the top of the list. However I never regret eating them. This is a solid Midwest ice cream and burger place. So much love for this place. If you love Braum's do not drive too far off the road for this one. Food was fine not a normal Braum's but fine. We were the only car in the drive through at 1:00 and the McDonalds across the street was packed so maybe the locals know about the service. Was given food first and then told pull up and park for drinks. We were mostly finished with food when some drinks were delivered. Then had ask for the ice cream and other drinks. Ice cream came out not in cones but in cups we said It was cones and were missing two drinks. She came back out with just plain cones wrapped in napkins. Waited for other drinks and spoons to dip our ice cream into the cones but they never came. Still no other car in drive through. Husband just left. read more

I went out of my way on a trip through Salina to eat at Braums as I like their food and rarely get to eat it. Past experiences have been fine, but tonight was a different story. While the restaurant and store are remolded and clean, and the staff put together well, attitudes are a different story. My order was wrong as I ordered a combo and only got the burger (no fries not drinks) when I brought this up, no manager came to help and the kid behind the counter looked lost. Since I was hungry and wanted to get to work on a project I couldn't do on the road, I asked for a glass of water. I had to ask where the soada machine was at and that's when I noticed a plethora of cups stacked on top of the trash can by the soda machine. At first I assumed this was trash that hadn't gotten picked up. Wrong! It was the employees drinks, in the lobby! I also witnessed an employee eating, not at a table, but standing around in the lobby. I also heard a discussion between one of the cashiers and a gentleman about some other girl, all while at the counter and other employees. No one there seemed to care, not about their job, not about my order or their other customers. The food was cooked fresh (even if the bacon and burger seemed a little burnt) and the water was cold. Price was a little steep (almost $10 for a burger and chicken strips, which I why I didn't question about lack of fries and drink, I thought the price listed was the combo price) If it was just food it would be 3 stars (food was good, but pricey for what you get) Service was a 1 star at best. Great ice cream. Fairly good fast food. NEVER go thru the drive-thru if you want your order right. Also they have a grocery store inside. The best quality milk you will find, and usually cheaper than Dillions/walmart. All of the grocery items that have their label on them are pretty good qualitiy. I haven't tried the meat selections or frozen foods, but dairy and baked goods are high quality. Did I mention they have ice cream? Go get a double dip! And if its the holiday season, try the pumpkin or the eggnog, very good! I can't give them any higher than 3 stars though, because the service is spotty at best. Just picked up a burger and fries at the drive thru. The burger was fine, but the large fry was barely full, and the fries were ice cold. This happens so often that I started ordering fries without salt so they'd have to make a fresh batch. it was 6:00 pm, and I expected there to be fresh, hot fries at that time of day. Braums was recommended by a friend as an ideal place to take a road-trip break through the death that is the Kansas City to Denver drive. Oh. My. God. Genius! I had a chocolate chip cookie dough sundae with marshmallow, hot fudge and a dollop of whipped cream. My friend had a perfect banana split - classic all the way. And they have crinkle fries! And frozen yogurt if you're feeling less calorically adventurous. The staff was friendly although very obviously bored (I don't blame them I mean it is Salina).
