I want to start off by saying I LOVE Braum's...but not THIS location of Braum's. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday. The smell hit us when we walked in, but we tried to look past it (our group described it as urine or vomit or rotten trash). This should have sent us running, but it was a short line and we were hungry. The cashier had no expression, struggled to take our order, and stood staring at the register for a long time between each person's order (very long awkward silence). After we ordered, we began noticing how filthy the restaurant was. I took pictures and have included them with this review. The saving grace was that the shakes were amazing as always! The other food had great flavor, but was sloppily made and put together, matching the appearance of the restaurant. Ketchup on the outside of the bun and all over the wrapper. Broken bun...messy to eat. Condiments that were requested to be removed were on burger. Overall, it was the worst Braums experience we have ever had. With that said, if you've never had Braum's, you should...just not in Great Bend, Kansas. read more

The place was so very dirty which is a clear sign that they do not care about the environment they work in nor what their customers walk into. Tables not wiped off, floors with trash and food, glass covered in finger prints. This type of unclean does not happen in one shift. Service was decent and food was okay. read more

The positives: Braums has the best ice cream around, the $1 frozen yogurt cones are a great deal, they have tasty burgers and chicken strips, and most of the items inside in the store are great quality. Absolutely delicious egg nog, and the best cottage cheese I have ever had. The employees in the store section are always friendly. Their drozen pies are excellent. The negatives: The employees at the drive through need more training, or just have bad attitudes. It is rare not to find a mistake in my order. Earlier today, they asked what kind of dipping sauce I wanted for my chicken strips...then they put the dipping sauce on my girlfriend's cheeseburger. The young male employee seemed very confused, and was unable to snap closed our containers holding sundaes. Certain items inside the store are not worth purchasing...the salad mixes only last a day or two at home before spoiling, and the yogurt is sometimes very thin. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives, and I always end up returning. read more

This is a great burger joint. We don't have any Braum's where I'm from so this is a must do for lunch whenever I'm in the mid-west. I've probably been to this location 10-11 times and it's never been a bad experience. Whether it's to dine in or take out it's always fresh and tasty. Different than most burger places this one offers a fresh market with milk, eggs, yogurt and desserts. Very cool! Today I came here and got a iced tea and a double cheeseburger. I'd rate 0 stars if I could but 1 is the minimum. when we got there, an employee looked like she was going to take our order but said, "I'm clocking out. I'll get someone to take your order." but she didn't get someone to take our order, she just started talking to another employee. then when a different employee came we thought that she would take our order, but a different employee cut in front of us in line and started ordering. then once they were done ordering they just started talking and ignored us. so we left! nobody said we will get with you soon. just ignored us. read more

I have traveled to Great Bend since November of 2021 taking my husband to the Cancer Care Center. Everyday, we stop at Braum's store for frozen yogurt. Usually, we take home pints of hand-packed frozen yogurt. We stopped today, and ordered the same thing. When we got to the window, we were given our soft service yogurt and the girl gave us more soft service yogurt. I told her no, we wanted the frozen hand-packed yogurt with lids on the pints. She went and got the Assistant Manager. This man informed me that that was the hand-packed yogurt. I had not seen these people before at this location so, he argued with me when I told him that wasn't what I wanted. I told him that I wanted FROZEN, hand-packed yogurt and that I had been getting there since November! He told me he has been with Braums for 8 years and they don't have frozen hand-packed yogurt? He was rude, a snot, and would not change my order! I came home with drippy soft serve yogurt! I am very dissatisfied with him and will not go back, if he is there! For Lunch we had the Four-Cheese Quarter Pound Burger ... just Dripping with Melted Cheese, and a double Jalapeño and Pepperjack Cheese burger which was Loaded with Jalapeños. Braums has So Many Ice Cream and Sundaes and Banana Split options. We will be returning for Breakfast to try one of their five kinds of Bagel Omelette sandwiches and their variety of Coffee Mocha drinks. Braums is Clean, Well-Lit and Friendly. read more

Every time I come here the service is awful. Furthermore, it seems that the management is usually the ones that are most rude. I came in a few months ago and the assistant manager was working that night. There was quite the substantial line but she was too busy walking around and complaining to take anyone else's order- she was taking one order every five minutes or so. I walked out that night. This morning when I came in fortunately there was little wait, however the person who took my order was again rude. The food is delicious and a good value but the staff here don't seem to understand what the point of their job is. When I received my breakfast burrito it was made hastily- it seemed to have sections of products instead of being a uniform mixture. A good inch and a half of my burrito was nothing but jalapeños. I ended up dismantling the burrito into the top of my biscuits and gravy container and just ate it with a fork. Every once in a while I decide to try this particular Braum's again, then immediately remember why I haven't eaten here in a while. Received our order this afternoon and it was incorrect. I took it back up and informed the manager of the error and he told me to go ahead and keep the hamburgers and he would get our chicken and gravy and bring it to our table. The manager brought us the chicken tenders and said he would return with the 3 sides of gravy. He returned a few minutes later with 1 gravy and again said he would be back with the other 2. We were there for about 20 more minutes, had finished our lunch and ice cream as well, and still never received those 2 other sides of gravy. Service is absolutely terrible. My boyfriend and I came from Hays just to eat here. The cashier was an older lady with a very bad attitude towards us. She charged us for water, but didn't charge the 2 people behind us. Avoid this place like the plague. Every time I've eaten there, the service has sucked and the food wasn't much better. Both management and employees walk around in what appears to be a fugue state. My family and I ended up there this morning because Perkins was slammed. Walked in and got in line at 10:12 am. There were two families in front of us and it took the cashier forever to take their orders. We were finally waited on at 10:31 am. We were told at that point that they were no longer serving breakfast as it was after 10:30. Everyone in front of us got breakfast and there was no one behind us. I was going to go full nuclear asshat on the place, but didn't want to upset my mother-in-law - they got really lucky there. The food we did get was mediocre at best and not worth the wait. Service was as good as it could have been. The employees at the front counter were working as hard and as fast as they could with a rush. However the "lady in charge", manager, or whatever she was, was not very helpful to her employees at all. They were getting backed up up front and asked for help and she said she was busy with drive thru in a very loud and snotty attitude in front of all us customers. She also came behind the gentleman helping me and pushed him to the side saying "Move move move" again very loudly with an attitude. I would have been embarrassed as a person in charge acting unprofessional like that. And it seemed the employees were embarrassed by her actions. To this so called "person in charge", you are leading by example to your employees. Your business is only as good as your weakest link, which seemed to be you today. Every time I've stopped at this Braum's, the service has been sub-par. The employees play behind the counter instead of being attentive to customers. My orders have been wrong in some shape or form each time I've come here as well. I would then ask for what I ordered in the first place and would not get that item or it would take a great amount of time to get it. Management is stoic and unfriendly. Would avoid this place in the future. read more
