I confronted her to see if we could work something out and she stated it wasn't her fault the flowers were wilty, that I got a heck of a deal, and I didn't offer the ribbon. My Mom's visitation was scheduled from 9am to 11am, I arrived at the funeral home to say one last goodbye to my wonderful Mom. This moment in time no one ever wants to go through, I braced myself to walk through the door into the room where I would see her for the very last time. I opened the door and walked up to my Mom's casket, my eyes blurred by tears and my heart heavy with an unbearable sadness. The sadness made even worst by the fact that she had no flowers on her casket, just a pink silk cloth lay there, it literally broke my heart as my family and friends arrived to say one last goodbye and in the middle of our sorrow and tears her flowers were brought in and arranged on her casket. The embarrassment I felt for my Mom was unbearable and unnecessary, by the time her flowers arrived (an hour late) almost everyone had already visited and said their final farewell, my broken heart was crushed to pieces. Great Bend Floral & Gifts showed no compassion or understanding when I called them to find out why the flowers were late, all they would say is we got the flowers there when we could. I ordered flowers and was promised the flowers would be at the funeral home by 9am on the day of my Mom's funeral, Great Bend Floral & Gifts failed to deliver and caused a family already in unbearable pain great embarrassment.

Even occasionally when I forget to order from way down here in Houston, Texas, the owner remembers to put flowers on my parents' and brother's gravesite. You couldn't ask for better service. It was a tribute to my Mother in law who was so sweet and grew her own delphiniums. Pettles made it perfect! We picked it up the morning of the funeral and took to Lucas, KS.
