They don't cut corners on closing time: they have been open when I've showed up dangerously close to their posted quitting time. Normally, clerks in a small-town grocery will eventually recognize me as a steady customer, but for some reason we didn't quite get there.

I tried to find a staff person to ask about it but the cashier had left her post to fiddle with stuff on the shelves. This is what happens when a corporation won't pay their staff a reasonable wage. They need to raise pay in order to keep the pharmacy staffed. I will be taking my business to a different pharmacy now.
