What can improve? everything. The food if we're gonna be so generous as to call it food, was either super sweet, super breaded, and overcooked. the "meats"were like jerky and almost everything was cold. Flavor was missing on everything. The frozen dessert contained zero dairy. There was one beef dish and I used the term beef loosely. Not even the Coca-Cola was good. I had very low expectations going in, I really didn't think it could get worse than it was. Our server was nice, but never refilled our drinks or checked on us once. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday, several of the entrees were empty and when I asked when they would be replenished, the server told me she wasn't sure if they would... Very odd considering they don't close until 8 PM and the lunch rush had barely started. When I went to pay the ticket, the cashier asked me how everything was. I said not great and she said OK. We really like the Mongolian chicken. The fish is very good. Both fried and baked very good. Fried shrimp very good. I like the potatoes and mushrooms, separately but I mix them. Many more items available. We drive nearly an hour to get there so it's a monthly thing. UPDATE:11:30 am Tuesday: Mongolian chicken left over from yesterday or before. Flavor suffered. Honey Chicken and sesame chicken both leftovers. Fewest diners I've seen. Less than a dozen. Unsure when we'll go back. Be quite a while. read more

This restaurant is clean and the service is good. The food is excellent, (delicious potstickers, Mongolian chicken, and black pepper chicken especially), but my husband complains that they don't have enough shrimp dishes. We have eaten here about once a month for the last few years. I highly recommend. read more

Wow, I was very surprised at how terrible an experience we had this time. We went Tuesday at 6pm. The food was not very fresh. I like green beans a lot and they were pretty much empty and never replenished in the hour we were there as well as the only kinda good dessert (creme puffs). The salad bar was in terrible shape the entire time. My kids are pretty easy to please and asked that we not return. It makes me feel silly having given this place a previous 5 star review. Felt like a completely different restaurant. Especially with how expensive it was ($70 for myself, wife and four small kids). Kinda felt robbed. Won't ever return. read more

I've eaten here numerous times while working in Kansas. The last two times have been horrible. Service is ok. However they don't fill food once it's empty on the buffet when it's past 6pm apparently. I know they close at 8:00. All the china buffets here where I live at least stuck it back with smaller fills. This place no. We got there at a few minutes before 6 there was probably 5 eatable items on the buffet. I asked if they were going to fill anything she said only an item that I wanted to eat. I asked for about five different items each time I was told that would take to long and that they closed at 8. Its maybe 6:05-6:10 at this time. They were busy but that's not a good excuse for any buffet, they will always be busy on Fridays and Saturday. They are the only real China buffet in the area so they should know what it's going to be like on the weekends. @$15.00 a person I was happy. Oh she charged us full price. It's alright for a buffet... everything is clean, lots of options, and a good bang for your buck (think the adult weekend dinner buffet price was $11.70, a little more than I had wanted to pay though). This is one of my the best Chinese Buffets I have been to in KS and other areas! The food is fresh most any time of the day. The variety of food is awesome and they offer a lot of items other then Chinese. They recently updated the interior and it looks so good! The service is always good the place is always clean. WARNING---- I watched unhealthy food practice here. The cook brought food out and poured on top of old food . also he dropped food on the counter and put it back in the tray with the fresh food. I would never eat here again. My next step is to call the health department. I will be looking for a law suit if i get sick. Well, it's a buffet and you can eat as much as you want. It's fairly cheap if you're really hungry and eat two or three plates full, plus dessert. It primarily serves Chinese food, although it does have some options for those who don't like Chinese chicken or rice. It also has a salad bar and ice cream. I go here occasionally when I'm in Great Bend. The food is sometimes fresh, depending on the time of day. I enjoy the food, but it is certainly not my favorite Chinese establishment. Pretty standard Chinese food for this part of the country. Service is average, but I don't expect much from a buffet. Servers fill your drink and pick up the dirty plates, but otherwise it's self serve. This location used to be a Golden Corral back in the 1990s, and other than adding a few tacky backlit pictures of places in China, it pretty much looks the same now as it did decades ago. It's clean, but a little run down and definitely very dated looking. If you are super hungry, it's worth a visit. This is probably the largest buffet in Great Bend. It's not fine dining, but if you just want to eat until you can't possibly eat anymore (then top it off with a bowl of ice cream), this is your place. read more

Every item on buffet was cold. I came at lunch on a Friday and there was heavy traffic. When food was brought out, it was put on top of the already cold food. Very disappointing. It was hard to judge the taste because of the temperature. I'm sure it would be good if it was heated up. read more

Great Wall Super Buffet is my favorite Chinese restaurant to go in Great Bend KS. The food is great and the waitresses are very kind. What I like most about Great Bend Super Buffet is that you don't have to order and wait for it to be made, you can just simply get up and grab any food you want. What I also love about the Great Wall is that they always manage to find tables for hungry customers no matter how busy they get. The price at Great Wall is amazing, it can be from $9-$11, depending on if you're going to lunch or dinner, but other than that the price is cheap. If anyone wants some Chinese food in Great Bend, I would recommend the Great Wall Super Buffet because it's just a fantastic place to eat Chinese food. read more

Several pans on buffet were empty, one had only fish water no fish and most the other pans had about three tablespoons of food all scraped to one corner of the pans that looked dry and as if it had been sitting there all day! Although we entered The Great Wall Buffet very hungry it wasn't worth jeopardizing our health. We have stopped here in the past and had hoped it had improved since they now advertised fresh food. We went to this Chinese restaurant for lunch. The buffet seemed to have more things other then Chinese food on it. I have never seen a Chinese restaurant serve hot dogs, tacos, and what looked like a bierock on a buffet. The Chinese food that was there seemed average at best.
