VCA got me right in immediately on the two times that was needed. I had my pets records transferred to them, and they are my new clinic now! Things I like about them: 1) They let me bring my cat in immediately when she needed help fast! 2) The vets and the staff appear to be animal lovers, and seem to love their jobs! Always friendly and happy! I love that!!! 3) It's very neat and clean. 4) There fees are on par with any of the other clinics. 5) They are very knowledgeable, and it gives you confidence in them. 6) They are open ALOT of hours! 10 to 11 hours on weekdays, and 6 hours on Sat., and even on Sunday! 7) When I asked them if they were taking new patients, they welcomed me, and all I had to do was tell them where my pets records were, and they did the transfer themselves! It was a super easy switch for me! So, if you're looking for a new clinic, I strongly suggest VCA in Brattleboro!! They're the best!

Dr. Angell in Brattleboro, VT worked with our Cat Oreo for the 20+ years, till Oreo passed away…read more Oreo didn't trust many people out side the family but when it came to Dr. Angell our sweet Oreo, he was putty in his hands. Dr. Angell saved Oreo's life at least 3 times due to various fatal injuries and helped us maintain his over all health. We must have done something right for our tough indoor/outdoor kitty to last longer then 20+ healthy years. Any ways 3 years after Oreo passed we have taken in a homeless Kitty and back to Dr. Angell we go. Maybe we get another 20 years out of this cat.

After getting my dog's nails trimmed he came to meet me outside and told me that my dog was an asshole and wasn't welcome back. Apparently, my dog was very resistant to having his nails trimmed and scratched him and his staff. I of course feel very bad that this happened and understand if he doesn't want to have him back, but there are ways to deal with people and this was not it. I will never go back to this vet.

Dr, Cianelli is nothing short of an angel. I have been bringing my 13yr old lab to her for 3 months…read morenow. Prior to seeing her, Cooper could hardly walk. He has osteoarthritis in his hind legs, as well as degenerative joint disease. He was in so much pain and the meds the vet gave him just made him more unstable and dopey. He wasn't himself, he was suffering and I didn't know what to do. I did some research and found out about acupuncture and reiki for dogs. I reviewed a view different places and luckily for cooper and I, I chose to go with Dr, Cianelli. I thank god every day for guiding me to her. From the moment we met her, she has been there for us. After 2 weeks (2 treatments) cooper was running and bouncing around again. He is able to do his spinning "din din" dance again. He still struggles because he is 13 and the damage done on his legs can't be reversed, however he is happy again and His spirit is brighter because the pain is finally being managed with the acupuncture and the Chinese herbs and natural supplements she has put him on. Bottom line, Dr. Cianelli gave me my boy back I can't say enough about how wonderful she is. She is very informative, patient, thoughtful and incredibly knowledgeable. She always checks in on us. She genuinely cares for her patients which is hard to find these days. I trust her every word and that's because she has earned it. It has been a very hard road for cooper and I lately and Dr Cianelli makes sure you know your not alone. She has gone above and beyond more then once. While most of the staff has been wonderful, I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Bobadilla when I brought my sick chihuahua in for a visit. Unfortunately, Dr. Bobadilla's bedside manner is lacking. I felt dismissed and hopeless during my visit. Other than a few "I'm so sorry" statements there was a lack of empathy and communication when it came to explaining my pet's condition and treatment options. It left me feeling uneasy and very angry about the care being provided. I took her to another provider the same day. This veterinarian was able to help me stabilize her with at home care, subcutaneous fluids that I am administering daily and even recommended a dietary change. None of this was addressed with Dr. Bobadilla. Dr. Bobadilla recommended euthanasia and even asked if I wanted to do it then and there. The audacity! I understand that everyone has a different approach, but it was a stark contrast to the kindness, professionalism and old school approach I experienced with Dr. Chapman over the years with my four dogs. On a positive note, the rest of the clinic staff are always friendly, attentive, and professional. Due to this incident I have decided to move my pets elsewhere. I hope Dr. Bobadilla works on improving communication and compassion when interacting with pet owners.

They helped diagnose my beloved cat Achilles with a shockingly advanced cancer. It took multiple tests and procedures in under 24-hours, and they had to deliver a result no one wants to hear. Throughout the process the staff treated me and my cat with such care and dignity. After the initial x-rays, the head vet took the time to acknowledge how painful and shocking it was. Every member of their staff was so genuine. One of the nurses told me she loved that my cat had a mix of black and pink toe pads. Another shared stories of the puppy who would be the last overnight neighbor my cat had. When we went to say goodbye to Achilles, he had a pink paint mark on his forehead that another staff member explained was lipstick from an overnight nurse who kisses all her patients. Our euthanasia nurse made him a plate of cheese, mousse pate, and little crunch treats before he had to go. I am so glad he was so loved in his last hours. Was it expensive, yes. There's a wider conversation here about prices that staff don't set themselves, and pet care in America. But for anyone in dire straits with a pet that needs help, no one here judged me. If he had recovered, I think they would have been cheering right alongside me.
