We always had great care here, with our dog as she was dying and in caring for our new pup.

We had to leave and go elsewhere. Miss Heather their financial person was the rudest person ever when my little chihuahua was about on her deathbed with lime disease, we didn't have the money and she said in so many words oh well. I said so I guess I just let my dog die and she said yup. Very inconsiderate bit$h. We are very happy that we left and love our new vets.

During the visit, she barked briefly when I walked into the room--she wasn't being aggressive, just scared and trying to stay close to someone she trusts. Instead of helping us work through that in a compassionate or informed way, the staff took her into the back without our permission. We weren't asked or even told what would happen. We later found out they restrained her without us there, and when we asked why, we were told it was because they believed she would "act less tough" if we weren't around to "back her up." That's not how fear works. She wasn't being dominant or defiant--she was scared, and they made it worse by removing her from the one person she trusts. Without discussing it with us, they also filled a prescription for Trazodone, a strong sedative and anti-anxiety medication. Then, they recommended putting her on Gabapentin too--essentially setting up a full sedation protocol before her next visit. This was never a conversation. It was presented as if it was just the next step--no consent, no alternatives, no behavioral support options. They also pushed a full obedience training program before she should be brought back--again, making it clear they weren't interested in working with her as she is, only in changing or drugging her into submission. To make matters worse, they offer an in-house monthly insurance plan, and the way they push repeat visits, medications, and training strongly suggests a financial motive. It feels like they're creating problems to upsell services and drive patients toward their membership program. We left feeling heartbroken for our dog and betrayed by people we trusted to care for her. We will never return. If you care about trauma-informed care, consent, and actual compassion for your pet, please think twice before bringing them here. Your dog deserves to be treated like family--not a checklist for upsells and prescriptions.

Thank you Angell Memorial... those guys are awesome! VESH is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY... they don't care about taking care of your pet. They disgust me.

You'll never want a different vet after visiting Dr. Cianelli…read more My dog wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care my dog has received from Dr. Cianelli. When we'd first brought him in, he was in the worst condition of his life. Overnight, all of the muscles in his head and body had deteriorated. His weight had gone from 120 lbs. to only 60 lbs. in no time at all. He couldn't drink any water, and in turn was very dehydrated and in need of weekly IV infusions. Countless visits and thousands in vet bills with our regular vet later, they suggested we put him down or not return. Watching him teeter on death with no support was one of my worst nightmares come true. We were left with more questions than answers, with nowhere to turn and no one willing to help him. That's when I was recommended to Dr. Cianelli through a friend who's pet was a patient of her's. She gave Dr. C 5 stars and beyond, and made her sound nothing short of excellent. I booked an appointment, hoping for a miracle but at least looking to give him the best quality of life for whatever time he had left. Our first visit was the most compassionate, comforting, and fear-free vet experience we've ever been to. Dr. Cianelli and her office exude warmth and safety, putting my dog and myself at ease; it feels like visiting an old friend. We discussed my dog further in person after previously filling out a diligent form online. She was asking questions no vet had ever asked before; no vet had ever cared. It further made me realize that I'd come to the most thorough and caring vet I've ever met. We agreed to try an acupuncture session for him and some time on the PEMF mat as we discussed his history, health, and course of action further. She doesn't leave you in the dark with her plans -- she walks you through her ideas and helps you to understand them, as she works out a better future for your dog. By the end of the appointment, Dr. C made strategic decisions based on her research, knowledge, and experience, and found the right medicine and diet for my dog. In less than a week after the first visit, my dog's health, appearance, and temperament did a complete 180. By the next day, my dog, who could hardly walk up or down the stairs and had so little life in his eyes, was now running up and down the stairs and prancing through the yard! He ran with his whole heart and soul on his walk and was showing everyone his biggest smile. I never thought I'd get to see my best friend healthy again, yet here he was! His spirit is revitalized and that spark has returned to his eyes. It was like he had been given a second chance at life. He was excited and full of life again, just as I've always known him. He is no longer in need of any IV infusions as he started drinking once again, and he is no longer anemic after the weeks-long struggle. His coat had dulled and lessened considerably when his health declined, and now it's back to its full, thick, fluffy, healthy self. My boy, who despises the car, even jumps in excitedly every time he realizes he's going to see her! Dr. Cianelli is the woman for you and your pet. When everyone else had given up on my sick and beautiful boy, Dr. Cianelli shone through. Thanks to Dr. Cianelli's expertise and dedication, our dog is not only alive but thriving. He's back to jumping up on the couch and bed -- something we thought he would never do again. When I think of all the things I'm grateful for, I count Dr. Cianelli twice. Her knowledge is endless, her light is so bright, and most importantly: she cares. As a patient, you aren't just a job to her; when your animal is in need of help, she puts her whole mind, body, and soul into finding the support you need. I truly believe that without her intervention, we would have had to say goodbye far too soon. Thank you, Dr. Cianelli!!! :-)

While most of the staff has been wonderful, I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Bobadilla when I brought my sick chihuahua in for a visit. Unfortunately, Dr. Bobadilla's bedside manner is lacking. I felt dismissed and hopeless during my visit. Other than a few "I'm so sorry" statements there was a lack of empathy and communication when it came to explaining my pet's condition and treatment options. It left me feeling uneasy and very angry about the care being provided. I took her to another provider the same day. This veterinarian was able to help me stabilize her with at home care, subcutaneous fluids that I am administering daily and even recommended a dietary change. None of this was addressed with Dr. Bobadilla. Dr. Bobadilla recommended euthanasia and even asked if I wanted to do it then and there. The audacity! I understand that everyone has a different approach, but it was a stark contrast to the kindness, professionalism and old school approach I experienced with Dr. Chapman over the years with my four dogs. On a positive note, the rest of the clinic staff are always friendly, attentive, and professional. Due to this incident I have decided to move my pets elsewhere. I hope Dr. Bobadilla works on improving communication and compassion when interacting with pet owners.

My friend called ahead to them know that my cat was near the end and that I wanted her euthanized. We were told that they would place us in a room (NOT a treatment room) When I arrived, they took her to the treatment area instead of into a room and I was super confused. They freaked when they saw her...it was like one of those frantic scenes on those medical dramas when multiple people run to the gurney. My friend was like "hello, she is here to be euthanized and they apologized. They sat me in a cold exam room and they brought my sweet Tatiana to me wrapped in a towel. The second they placed her in my arms, pinkish liquid started coming our of her nose and mouth. I freaked out an fortunately my friend, who is a hospice nurse, was with me and held as the trainee fumbled around with trying to find a vein for the final shot. Her veins had collapsed so my literally had to tell her where to place the needle. All of a sudden I heard this gushing sound and screamed "what was that??" Fortunately my friend warned me not to look. There was so much liquid released that she had to borrow scrubs and her sweater was ruined. It was absolutely traumatizing. When I left the treatment area they asked me if I wanted to take home the carrier. I don't know exactly what I said but it wasn't nice. Nobody told me what the hell was going on. I had been there only 4 weeks earlier and was simply told "you have a very sick kitty." And then, when I trusted them to help us through her final moments, they failed. I called a few days letter and cried as I explained what happened. The woman (manager?) was not very empathetic and made excuses for what happened but at least she refunded me the cost. I wish that I had the positive experience that others who have reviewed this had. The image of her sick, skinny little body wrapped in a towel with that stuff coming out of her nose and mouth is forever etched in my brain. I am working hard to replace that memory with a happy one but it is really hard. This should never happen to any pet mom again.
