In short, I am truly blown away. These are the places I LOVE discovering. TRUE HIDDEN GEMS like this one out in Braddock owned by Fernando who is easily one of the greatest people I have ever come across He's from Mexico City and whipping up Mexican food with his own twist on it that I have never come across or would think of. He truly loves his craft and excels at it beyond belief. This is something everyone needs to experience Chicken tostadas. Not once in my life would I ever think to serve it with cold chicken. Now I can't imagine it any other way. When the chicken still manages to be juicy, with a phenomenal chipotle smoky sauce, it lets the shell stay perfectly crisp the entire time and is life changing The bean dip. I felt like I was getting mouthfuls of smoke and the perfect amount of cheese throughout. I will never be able to look at bean dip the same I don't even know how the fuck you are getting avocados this fresh. Send me your source Shaved ribeye steak tacos served over melted provolone and spinach. Why would anyone think a taco should be like this. I don't know but Fernando did and it made me discriminate all other tacos. The CHICKEN Al Pastor. Al pastor is by far my favorite style of taco. Never have I gotten it chicken. Never have I had pineapple as fresh as I did in Hawaii straight grilled and topped on al pastor. This is easily my the best al pastor I had and my non pork eaters can now enjoy This is a place I will 10/10 recommend to everyone, be returning to countless times even though it's a 40min drive, and will try everything this place has to offer Also bonus points for one of my favorite restaurant interiors. Passing through Braddock i have seen this place and wasn't quite sure what it was. We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised. I'd describe it as a unique twist on street tacos etc.. A bit different from what I have had, but the meat was tender and flavorful, and the tacos, burritos, and Gorditas were all excellent. They seem to try to put a healthy twist on it with spinach instead of lettuce. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area! read more

I'm not convinced about the Mex restaurant but I see good reviews about it though Braddock has few establishments to venture too. So I will try an array of their products to get a good judgement of the joint. So far on their taco's there's too much grass and not enough meat and salsa to my liking!! There is an area with some couches to sit and about 6 tables plus a long table facing the kitchen area. My steak burrito was very tasty. The steak had a grilled flavor. The first burrito I have had that had potato. The burrito also had Mexican rice, fresh onion, jalapeño, quinoa and came with some guac and a few chips. Yes, sometimes the hours might not be what you want but they seem to keep their Facebook page updated so just check that before you stop by. Once you're there you won't be disappointed by the fresh, chewy and soft tortillas, perfectly seasoned and cooked meats (including kielbasa, a Pittsburgh staple food) and the incredible other fillings, including the best potatoes ever! Each and every item is perfectly done and all orders come with fresh authentic tortilla chips and guacamole. I also obsess over the "sweet and spicy" sauce that they provide to you as a condiment if you're dinning in. It's out of this world good! Their hours are very irregular. You never know when they will be open. There is no rhyme or reason to their hours. Definitely closed on Monday but any other day is a roll of the dice. It wasn't, which is part of the reason for a lower rating. However the wait was not long and they were not out of food as others have complained about. My burrito did smell delicious and I couldn't wait to devour it when I got home. The chorizo was very tasty, nice and flavorful. Also wrapped in this tortilla was a generous portion of potatoes, rice and spinach. It seemed like a bit much with the carbs but it was a very filling burrito. I was cautious after reading other reviews, but this was a great option at Brew Gentlemen in Braddock! We ordered a chicken taco, a potato taco, the chicken quesadilla, and a chicken burrito. Interestingly enough, between the three of us we each had a different favorite. The burrito had potatoes in it - which was interesting at first but I really liked it! One friend thought the quesadillia was the best (which I loved too!), and the third one in our party loved the chicken taco (she likes less spice, so that is the way to go for you folks who don't enjoy all the flavors!) The potato taco felt very Pittsburgh! It was good, but because it was a little more bland I likely wouldn't get it again. They also have a spicy sauce that was a great addition to the burrito - I'd definitely ask for a side of that when you order. The guys in the truck were very friendly and gave us great service. I visited the Brassero Grill food truck after a Beer + Yoga event at The Brew Gentleman on a Sunday afternoon. I had been meaning to try their food and was excited to see them at the brewery. I was accompanied by my mom and aunt, who are both not a fan of spicy food and the nice gentlemen at Brassero Grill were more than happy to accommodate them. My mom had a veggie quesadilla, I had one as well and my aunt had a deconstructed burrito. The food was SO fresh. I loved the guacamole- it was very fresh with lots of lime and red onion in it. My mom and aunt loved their food as well. I am excited to come back - they told me they are at the Brew Gentleman every Thursday (I believe) so I am def planning on coming back ASAP. read more
