    My lone rosebud
    Kelsey L.

This place is so ridiculous. The staff is not knowledgeable OR friendly for that matter. I had heard horror stories but was in a pinch and needed some herbs. First of all - the products are way overpriced. Second: I went in for a very specific herb: rosebuds. They have a big jar of herbs- labeled ROSEBUDS. Tell me why my whole 1oz bag came with ONE rosebud and the rest rose petals I called to see if I could come back and do an exchange or something - but low and behold...guess who doesn't do refunds on herbs?! Hahahah. Be wary y'all. I definitely will not be going back.

WOW! Super cool shop, so many things here! A very impressive assortment of books, crystals, clothing, and art. Bundles for smudging, jewelry, candles, so many things to look at and be intrigued by. I love the location of this store on a tree-lined street in a 1950ish home, it is fun and funky. The staff was very helpful and polite, I think I spoke to the owner who was very knowledgable. Lot's of positive energy here. Great place to come into and explore.

    Fairies with dragon. Mythical theme

Omg they have the best mythical fairies. They made my valentines gift to my girlfriend possible. They offer such cool items. From healing books, to gems, to Spectacular figurines at a great price if you are looking for a gift I would highly recommend this place

Owner's Daughter-Tara At Brass Unicorn . . . Very Nice, Cool Stuff To Buy!

Hey, Tara! Your Mom's business is not only a bookstore! Ya gotta correct Yelp NOW! Yo, Peeps! Heads Up! FYI: The Brass Unicorn sells aromatherapy, shoes, clothing, fossils, jewelry, incense, etc . . . and not just books! Humpf! Tara set the Yelp record straight! Brass Unicorn has their URL where you may shop online for the products sold in the store in Fresno: http://www.brassunicorn.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=10

Heart shaped polished rose quartz stones. Perfect!
    Veruca S.

Love, love, LOVE this shop! They carry a huge assortment of items - stones, oils, books, cards, incense, on and on - and you must check out the 3D tapestries! I dreamt of Rose Quartz last night and google searched where I might find the heart shaped polished stones - so glad I picked The Brass Unicorn! I was pleasantly surprised. The ladies running this wonderful shop are awesome, very welcoming to this first time shopper. Everything is priced right here. I highly recommend this shop, and will be a return customer!

We ordered the malai kofta, baingan bharta, mix veg sabji, tandoori chicken, and a paneer wrap, all accompanied by perfectly fresh rotis. Every dish was delicious, fresh, and surprisingly light on the stomach. The Gajar halwa at the end was the perfect finishing touch--it tasted just like home! Chef Jaswinder's hospitality is unmatched. We loved the food so much that we even bought a box of homemade sweets and dinner to take with us, which made settling back in after our trip so much easier. Thank you, Jaswinder! We can't wait to stop by again the next time we're passing through.

I LOVE indian food and know from experience that a gas station location sometimes houses hidden gems. Service was friendly and quick. There is a discount for cash or an additional fee for a card. My friend who was with me wanted some dessert and when I asked for a few, the young lady working the register just grabbed them with her hand. Ooof!! I ordered chicken curry and rotti. I asked for it to be spicy. I am always a little bummed when I order spicy and they don't make it spicy. Much sadness. The rotti was tasty. It had a slightly sweet hint to it. The chicken curry was bland. It needed more love and seasonings. Plus, it was not spicy. If you are looking for authentic, seasoned indian, this is not it.

Found this place through Yelp and it was one of a couple just off our way south, so it wasn't hard to make a pit stop. We were helped by a brunette lady (I forget her name), who was delightful and very knowledgeable. She gave us a sampling tour which gave us the breadth of flavors of olive oils. Who knew there was so many varieties?! Ok so maybe just I don't know but... Anyway, we left with 2 varieties: the cucina (blend of varietals) and soltera (one olive) as well as a spice mix and some truffle salt. Mmmm all so good! We have since been ordering olive oil from Pasolivos now for a few months since the visit. And now we cannot go back to the Costco olive oil we used to get. Btw, imported olive oil is likely not pure olive oil. There's no quality control, so you don't know what you'll get (cut with canola, etc). Seriously, we cannot go back to our old olive oil ways. We are now addicted to this award winning locally sourced California olive oil from Pasolivos! I kinda wish we could give that lady who helped us some kind of commission for our monthly orders.

It was Tuesday, and we were glad to learn that they were open. Many businesses in the Paso Robles region are only open Thursdays through Sundays. While it wasn't crowded at all when we were there, other guests came through while we were there. The pastoral country setting is a wonderful complement to sitting outside under the shelter of one of their open-sided but roofed patio areas. Lizzie took great care of us - providing the story and attributes of their various olive oils and balsamic vinegar offerings. Served with fresh bread to dip, it was a great little taste treat experience without being too heavy. There are three different flights to choose from when it comes to the back half of the tasting menu, getting into the vinegars and seasonings like truffle salt. We experienced the healthful tickle of resveratrol in some of their heartier oils, and many yummy flavor enhancements overall. Our Sweet Granddaughter did try some of the olive oil, but it's not her speed (yet), so she was happy to have some gourmet chocolate gelato from their freezer case. There is a tasting fee, but it can be waived by joining their club which offers three shipments annually. Our sister-in-law decided to sign up, so the whole group was comped on the tasting. Dear Hubby and I bought one olive oil and one balsamic and we're ready to up our healthy snacking options. Overall, it was a relaxing experience in pleasant surroundings with Lizzie doing a great job of educating us all. Bravo!
