Great food, friendly attentive staff and a great atmosphere!! Highly recommend! Drink specials are a must try and happy hour from 530-630!

    Funny colored dollar bills.

This place a cozy and calm. They had a good beer selection and a great drink selection. The bartender was making fresh fruit margaritas. And the food was really good!

This lovely neighborhood bar and grill will warm the cockles of your heart. Local residents like to gather here and vibe while playing pool tournaments or hunkering into a clump for a lively convo. It's a very friendly crowd and I had great conversations and the rubbing of elbows. Free spirited, warm vibes. There was no victory for me at pool but rest assured, I'll be back. Don't miss this venerable, historic hangout if you're road tripping in the area. Bartenders are friendly characters and the food is good and fresh. I stayed at the Redwood Hotel 120 feet away and came here every evening I was here (btw the Brass & Rail serves food until 11 pm). The locals welcomed me warmly and I tip my hat. Follow up: At the bar and grill in Garberville I found my new friends yet again.

What an amazing restaurant and bar tucked away along the end of the Avenue of the Giants! Stopped…read morehere on a whim after a long day and was throughly surprised (even though the photos already made it look delicious)! We had the French onion soup, Brussel sprouts, and the Chicken Ceasar Schnitzel and devoured it all. Wrapped up our dinner with a few rounds of pinball, which was a blast. Staff were very friendly as well! All and all, a diamond in the rough and a place I will plan on visiting the next time I pass through here.

This might be one of America's last Disco Roadhouses. There is a great stage to the right with a see thru back room that had a pool table and a few arcade games. To the left is the bar and large indoor 70s style fireplace. We were camping 20 mins up the highway and I felt completely unprepared for this scene. Next time I will be ready with more glitter and cowboy boots. We were lead to the back room, which somehow looked like a 20s speakeasy, with its cool dark wallpaper, dark academia bookshelves, and gold glittered tables, which overlooked the redwood trees. It was rustic and chic and I questioned if I was dreaming at how cool this place was. I know it's weird but I even loved their tea tree smelling hand soap in the bathroom. The service was excellent and food was delicious. They only have a few menu items and are mostly vegetarian (LOVE!) but they source their ingredients from local farmers and you can taste it. The waiter/owner explained that they have rotating chefs so this night they had Armenian influenced dishes. Yes, you heard right, Armenian food, 'my God,' I thought, 'could this random place in the redwoods get any better!' Between everyone at the table we tried most of the dishes, the shrimp cocktail, the fried cheese roll, roasted purple cauliflower, and fattosh salad, everything was excellent and comparable to the foodie scene you would find in the bay area. After dinner we headed to the bar for a few drinks and talked with the lil Kim shirt wearing, badass bartender. The place was a little quiet that night, but she explained they have had some pretty popular events this summer and do line dancing once a month as well. The halls are decorated in bands that have once played here and biker rallies with big names like Alvin Bishop and George Thorogood. Absolutely shocked by this hidden gem in the redwoods. Who knew Phillipsville was the place to be, I wish I lived closer so I can visit every weekend. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would and am looking forward to my next visit. I definitely think that it is worth the drive from the bay just to hang out at this place. Go now while you can so you can say you knew it when.

Then I wanted/needed another night cap so we ended here ,where there was another party happening!! Quality/Quantity - Simple menu done well. Better if you have been drinking the whole evening as I have been. See menu on website of "Nibbles" offered. Or check out my pictures. See picture of snack table. I noticed many people did NOT know this was available, and ordered their own nibbles(identical type of snacks). I basically ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. And as I walked around taking my Yelp pictures, I noticed the snack table, thank you. Atmosphere - What a huge location. The actual lounge was just okay in size, but they are connected to the historic Eagle House and I did not know where the businesses started or ended. Indoor/outdoor dining. Not sure what event was happening today, but there was a live DJ, snacks, etc. Not sure if it was open to the public...? Or if I crashed another party? Either way, I had a great time. Just checked your website; cut and pasted: "Tropical Vibes Happy Hour with DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora - Join us for some tropical vibes at Phatsy Klines Parlor Lounge, enjoy some delicious cocktails and tasty treats. DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora will be playing Afro beats with some Latin & Reggae Vibes sprinkled in the mix. Free all ages event." Service - Crazy busy, but they still did a good job managing the crowd. Price - $12 + generous tip. Owner Comments - Congrats on your success since 2017 and sorry to hear about the closure of your sister restaurant Tavern 1888. I was looking forward to visiting them also.
